"It's here!"

Tanner screamed as he jumped up from the couch,hitting Bear in his stomach in the process.

"Oops sorry" said the omega to his older brother.

Bear just groaned and waved him off opting to pause his movie because he knew that he wouldn't be able to focus with all the noise that was sure to ensue as a result of the envelope in his Papa's hands.

"Dad!Jessie!"

The two dominants came rushing down stairs at the sound of the younger submissive's calls.

"What is.. it's here?"

Jessie turned to look at Bear in surprise before screaming and hugging Tanner.

"It's only been one day! He must really like you."

Tanner blushed as he took the letter and sniffed it. His alphas scent hit him and he let out a soft purr like sound at the scent.

"Give it here."

His dad took the envelope and tore if open, ignoring his younger son's whine.

David scanned the letter and his smile grew until he got to a certain part that wiped that smile off his face and caused him to fall down onto the couch.

"Dad? What's wrong?" Asked Tanner as he snatched the letter away from his father.

Ignoring the tradition of the father being the only one who read the letter Tanner's eyes scanned the pages before his eyes flitted over to Bear and then the page in his hand before he paled and burst into tears.

"Love? Tanner? What's wrong?"

By now Bear had forgotten about the pain in his midsection and was watching his Papa,as he read the letter that Tanner had thrown onto the carpeted floor,before flopping down on the couch with tears streaming down his face.

"Oh my..."

Papa put a hand over his mouth and looked at Bear before dropping the letter and pulling Tanner into his arms.

"What happened?" Asked Jessie as she took her turn in reading the letter.

Bear had a suspicion that whatever had made his happy family sad concerned him.

And he was proven correct when Jessie looked at him and sighed before handing him the letter.

Bear scanned the letter and stopped at the words that shocked him to the core and had him chocking on air.

"I have found a flower in your garden. A majestic and rare flower that I must have. I admit that when I entered your garden I had my mind set on the rose that my father had told me about. On the beautiful red rose that was sure to make me fall in love the moment I set eyes on him. But alas I entered your garden and saw a sunflower that brightened my day. This sunflower stole my attention for just a second but my heart for a lifetime. So I regret to inform you that I have found my flower but it is not your rose. I have found a flower even more surreal, a flower that is sure to make me the happiest man in the world. I have found and chosen Dańte Bear Vallen. And it would be an honour to take this flower home with me.

I aplogise once more for this unusual decision I have made. I do not wish to stomp on tradition but the heart wants what it wants.

And my heart had decided that my true mate is Bear. So I confirm my acceptance of this mating and my family will be coming to organise the wedding on the 29th of July.

Bear looked at his family members who were all watching him with different facial expressions.

"Tanner I -"

"5 minutes I left you with him for 5 minutes and he chose you! Fuck you Bear, I fucking hate you!"

Tanner stood up and ran upstairs while Bear sat in silence.

Tanner never cursed. But now he had, and it was all because of what Titus had written in the letter, it was all because instead of just rejecting the prospective mating, Titus had decided to reject the mating with Tanner and instead choose his older brother.

Bear felt anger seep into his bones as he stood up. Who did the alpha think he was?

"Where does he live?"

"Bear don't-"

"I'm not going to stand for this father, he is Tanners mate not mine!"

"He chose you Bear. He fell for you and no matter what you do or say he won't marry Tanner, he won't love him. You said you wanted an alpha who loved you and respected you. Titus loves you. Titus saw you and spent five minutes with you and he knew in his heart that you were his as much as he was yours.

He doesn't know your story, your hobbies, nothing. But yet he chose you. Despite your built, he chose you Bear.

I saw it that day and I didn't say anything, but that man was a goner the moment he laid his eyes on you.

And I will not let you ruin this for yourself.

Tanner is upset but he will realise that this is fate. You are going to marry Titus and if he turns out to be a jerk feel free to punch me." Said Jessie with a stern look on her face, her alpha phermones wafting in the room.

"I'm not going to marry Titus."

Bear turned around and left the house. He needed a run.

Titus had made a mistake. And he would make sure that the alpha realised his mistake and corrected it.
