"Why are you still in bed? It's 10 am, your alpha is coming here at 12 noon!"
Bear groaned as his brother shot up out of bed and ran out of the room screaming about his hair,and how he needed to prepare himself.
"Come on Bear get up!"
Bear rolled over and cursed under his breath.
"The alpha isn't coming for me. I don't see why I have to get up."
"Leave us alone love."
Bear heard his Papa sigh before petting his messy bed hair and leaving the room.
"Bear."
Bear put a pillow over his head as his Dad sat down beside him on the bed.
Bear's father was a pure royal blooded alpha who had broken all traditions for Bear.
He had allowed the submissive to move out of the house and a state away for college. He had turned the other way when it came to Bear moving in with Mason. He had kept his mouth shut when he realized that his son was not following tradition and was no longer a virgin by the age of 24. His father was his hero but sometimes Bear wished that he had been a bit stricter when it came to him.
He wished that he hadn't turned the other cheek. Maybe Bear could have been mated by now if he had stayed at home like an obedient omega, like Tanner.
But no,Bear had wanted to see the world. Wanted to travel. He had wanted more and sacrificed love for it.
If only his Dad had been stricter maybe things would have turned out different.
"You remind me of your daddy. You look just like him when you wake up all grumpy."
Bear bit his bottom lip and buried his head further into the bed. At this point he might as well have created a hole in the mattress.

His Papa, his carrier had died when he was only 2. Bear was told that he had taken after him. That he was built just like his dad. Curly hair, cocoa skin and had the most beautiful chocolate brown eyes anyone had ever seen. And he had his smile, a smile that could freeze time itself.
His other Papa had mated to his Dad three years later, but the submissive treated Bear like his own. Bear belonged to Papa Alex,and no one could say otherwise.
If it was not for the difference in their skin tones one would swear that he was biologically his.
"Your Papa had a a hard time accepting himself. He was built big and I loved him from the moment I laid my eyes on him. The man who is truly your soulmate will not care about how tall you are or how you are built. He will love you for what's inside. Your alpha is out there son and I know you will meet him soon. So don't feel bad, don't pity yourself. You took a path that was meant for you. I might have not supported some of them in my heart,but I knew I had to let you have your freedom. I would have liked it if you had stayed at home and remained a virgin until mating but we can't all have what we want."
Bear sat up and giggled at the sight of his Dad's tinted cheeks. The man broke all stereotypes about alpha males, he was sweet, caring, loving and so damn shy that it made Bear laugh. All Bear had ever wanted growing up was an alpha just like his father, but unfortunately the Goddess had not deemed him worthy enough to be blessed with a partner, an alpha to call his own.

"I love you and you know it. And you're worth more than anything in this world. You, Tanner and Jessie are what matters most to me. And then Alex of course." He said with a laugh.
Bear launched himself into his father's arms and sobbed. He cried as his father rubbed his back and then stopped when he was good and done.
"Bear you're still in bed? I need you to do my hair right now! And you have to shower, my mate is coming and you can't greet them in pajamas."
Bear looked at his Dad and they both burst into laughter at the sight of Tanner standing with a blow dryer in one hand,and a curling iron in the other while he body was wrapped in a white fluffy towel.
Bear would enjoy his day and help his brother find love. And maybe just maybe he would find his own love in the process.
