Daniel and I stood there in shock as Mason, grinning like an idiot, closed the door as he sauntered in.

"So how much did you see?" I asked as I cleared my throat.

"Oh just enough," he was still grinning. "I mean, it's about damn time! The sexual tension was kinda killing me here!" I could feel my cheeks burn and Daniel scratched his nape. I looked up towards the ceiling and led out a loud groan, just what I needed!

Daniel must have read my mind as he chuckled and engulfed me in a tight hug and kissed my temple.

"I mean yeah, this is great!" Mason chirped as he pointed at both of us. "But the fact that you've been going behind our backs just to mess around in empty classroom-"

"We're not just messing around," Daniel cut Mason off, with a annoyance. "We're actually dating." Mason's eyes widened and his grin grew to a wide smile.

"Well, I guess I'm going to leave you guys sort the Spanish homework," mason winked at Daniel's direction and headed towards the door.

"Oh and by the way," he turned and faced us with a reassuring smile. "I haven't seen anything." Both Daniel and I looked at each other with relief and mentally thanked Mason for his loyalty.

"So, your house after school?" Daniel asked as he hugged me by my waist and nodded as a response.

Boy I couldn't wait to see what will happen in my room...

I know what you were thinking

Shame on you, perv.

***

"So this is my room," I spoke as I showed Daniel my room. Once we climbed down the stairs, Daniel glanced around and looked at me with a small smile.

"Not bad," he nodded.

"Not bad?" I scoffed.

"I just think," he snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me in. "That something is missing." He looked down at me and smiled.

"Oh yeah?" I teased as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "What's missing?"

"A guitar." I laughed and pecked him on the lips.

As soon as I was about to back away, his grip tightened and the kiss became rougher. I felt him move towards my bed until my back touched the covers. He pulled away only to adjust himself as he hovered me, but I pushed him to he side as I climbed on top of him.

"Eager are we?" He chuckled against my lips. "I thought you were going to wait till you were getting married!"

I pulled away and smirked, "I am."

He played with a strand of my hair. "I think it's cool that you want to wait."

I tilted my head, smirking even more, "you think so, huh?"

"Hell no!" He laughed and turned us over so that he was hovering me again. He began to leave a soft trail of kisses on my neck up to my lips, and as soon as his lips met mine, the door opened with a loud bang.

"Darling! A hot guy is coming so I need-OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! IM TOO YOUNG TO BE A GODFATHER!" Oliver turned around to avoid eye contact as Daniel quickly moved away.

"Please tell me you're clothed," Oliver inquired, his hands still covering his eyes.

"Yes Oli," I rolled my eyes. "We are not having sex." Oliver peeked through his hands and sighed with relief.

"Well, as I was saying, there's a hot guy- aren't you going to introdúceme to this handsome lad?" He focused on Daniel, who gave me an uncomfortable look.

"Oh shit," I whispered. "Um Daniel, this is my cousin Oliver. Oliver this is Dan-"

"Is this the Daniel Matthews you've been talking non stop?"

I'm seriously considering murder right now.

"Oh really?" Daniel shifted his body to face me, with a smirk on his face. "Interesting. What exactly does the say about me?"

"You wanted something Oliver?" I cleared my throat as I avoided looking at Daniel.

"Ah yeah," he suddenly remembered. "A hot guy is coming so I need you two to stop playing this game of tick-tack and leave. I haven't even decided which kimono I should wear-"

"Oliver, we weren't having sex, calm down!" I exasperated, as Daniel chuckled beside me. "And there more stuff to do other than have sex with the guy that's coming!"

Oliver stopped mumbling to himself and gave me a pointed look, "my god cousin, you look tense," he then glanced at Daniel's direction. "You should do something about that!"

Daniel led out a chuckle and ran a hand through his hair as he looked at me, "believe me, I'm trying."

"Well whatever you're doing, doesn't look like it's doing a great job!" Oliver then focused on me. "Astrid, you need dick!"

I chocked with air, whilst Daniel rolled on the bed howling with laughter. "Dick, cousin! UNA POLLA!" Oliver continued to shout as he headed towards the door.

"Get out!" I shouted as I threw a pillow at Oliver's head as Daniel continued to laugh out loud. Once he calmed down, he got up and wiped the tears from his eyes as he chuckled once more. Then, it hit me. I've never seen Daniel laugh this loudly since the day I met him. Never. He would chuckle or snicker, but never cry of laughter. Sure he might've had, as he's best friends with Alex, who's practically a clown with a heart of gold. Seeing him like this made my heart warm up to him.

Even made me fall in l-

No.

No.

Stay away from that word.

"I know I'm attractive Astrid, but there's no need to eye rape me." I blushed and looked away, only for him to chuckle and peck me on the lips. "What on your mind right now?" He asked as he played with my fingers.

"Nothing," I smiled as I stroked the hairs at the back of his head. "I've never seen you laugh this hard before. That's all."

Daniel placed a hand onto my cheek and kissed me on the other cheek. He then got up and pulled me up with him.

"Where are we going?" I asked as he pulled me up the stairs.

"Come on," he turned to face me. "I want you to meet my niece."

"Belly!" Daniel called out as he opened his front door. "I'm home!"

Within a few seconds, I heard little footsteps coming down the stairs and from the corner, a little girl with two brown plaits appeared. "Uncle Danny!" The girl gleamed as she practically jumped onto Daniel, causing him to chuckle.

"The tooth fell out!" She opened her mouth to show his uncle her tooth gap.

"Oh wow!" He gasped. "Looks like someone is getting a visit from the tooth fairy tonight!"

Seeing Daniel play around with his niece made me smile. I always thought he was the typical bad boy who ignored his family, but when he mentioned his niece to me the night I spent at his house, I could feel the joy and love from his words as he spoke about her. As if he was proud of her.

"Uncle, who is she?"

"This is Astrid."

"Is she the girl you always talk about with uncle Mason?" Her smile grew bigger

"Oh does he really?" I smirked at Daniel, who was blushing hard. "What does he say?"

"He says that you're really pretty and that-"

"Isabella Grace Matthews," Daniel's voice became strict. "What do I always say?"

She huffed and mumbled, "think before we speak, not speak what comes to our mind."

He nodded and placed her on the floor and told her to go to her room, which was upstairs. As she ran up the stairs, I heard her yell that I was pretty, causing Daniel to laugh and pull me towards him.

"I know," he whispered, causing me to blush and playfully push him away.

"Hercules or Lion King?" Isabella asked me as she too a large bite of her pizza.

"Easy, Hercules?" I responded just as I swallowed my piece.

"What? Lion King is a master piece!" Daniel gasped.

"Please, Hercules has a funny villain and the music is incredible. Not to mention the muses," I stated, causing Daniel to roll his eyes at my response.

"Ok fine, pancakes or waffles?"

"Waffles, all the way!"

"Pancakes is food for the Gods!" Daniel threw the crust of his pizza onto the plate indignantly. "Seriously, what did I see in you?"

"My wit probably," I smirked, causing him to chuckle as he kissed me in the cheek, as Isabella grimaced.

Daniel chuckled and stood up whilst he wiped his hands against the fabric of his jeans. "Ok Belly, off to bed, you've got school tomorrow."

"But I don't wanna!" She huffed.

Daniel was about to say something but I cut him off, "why don't I put her to bed and you clean this up. Sounds good?" He nodded and kissed me on the forehead as he left the living room with the plates.

"Come on Izzy, let's get you to bed," I picked her up and walked up the stairs.

Once she was tucked in bed, I felt her grab my hand, signalling me to stay a bit more. "How come you call me Izzy and not Belly?" She asked.

"Maybe that could be our thing," I sat on the bed. "You know, I call your uncle Donald instead of Daniel."

"Really?" She smiled at me. Wow, she looks just like him. "What does he do? Does he hate it?"

"Nah, he just laughs," I chuckled. "I think he secretly likes it."

She giggled but then a frown appeared. "Hey what's wrong?"

"I miss mommy," she whispered as a tear tricked down her cheeks.

My heart shattered seeing her like this. Even though I just met her, I knew that Izzy had this bubbly personality, just like Chelsea. I knew that she doesn't know her mother's story and she was too young to understand it. However, I knew that once she was older, Daniel might have to sit down with her and tell her the reason why her mother is getting treatment. "Oh sweetheart," I frowned. "I know you do." I stroked her hair and kissed her forehead.

"You know, I miss my mum too." She looked up at me, with her eyes still red. "She died when a few years ago, leaving my dad and I."

Well, leaving me only.

"Really? How was she like?"

"The best," I smiled at the fond memories I had with her. "She never got cross with me, even when I misbehaved. She would always tell me to mess around but make sure I was never caught."

"Wow, your mom was seemed really cool," she yawned.

"She was," I chuckled. "Now go to bed, or the tooth fairy won't come!"

After making sure she was fully asleep. I quietly got off the bed and left the room. Once I gently closed the door, I stopped and saw Daniel leaning onto the wall with a smile on his face. There was something in his eyes. Like a faint gleam, causing his green eyes to shine more prominently.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" I shifted uncomfortably.

"I think she likes you," his smile grew even bigger. He extended his hand and I grabbed onto it. "Come on, let's go to bed."

I stopped and gave him a look, causing him to roll his eyes, "would you rather stay here with me, or hear your cousin 'play tick tack'?" I chuckled at the reference made earlier by Oliver and nodded my head confirming my response to stay at his place.

"That's what I thought."
