Rolling out of bed yawning and stretching, I slip into my fluffy slippers.

I didn't leave my room after that conversation with Jaxon, also never heard from Caleb either.

I stroll to the bathroom bumping into someone

On the way "sorry," I say tiredly.

"Watch where your going, idiot," Devon says annoyed.

"And hurry up we're going to be late," he says and walks away.

Damn! The fucks wrong with him?

I do my business and wash my face and brush my teeth.

I quickly change into an outfit for school and run downstairs out the front door.

Hopping in Devon's car he speeds off to school.

The classes flew by quick and it's now lunch, I walk to the cafeteria to meet up with Kimberly.

Kimberly waves me over to sit beside her at an empty table. Sitting my ass down I pull out a breakfast bar and start munching on it.

"Oh! Guess what Scarlett?" Kimberly says excitement running through her.

"What?" I say excited.

"Jaxon is taking me to this fancy Italian restraunt, and then after we're going to a hotel to do you know what," she says with so much happiness as she nudges me.

It's kind of weird hearing her talk about Jaxon like this, like all the nice stuff he does for her and how he treats her.

She doesn't even know he's my ex and she's always going into detail about the things they do...it's just weird.

I don't think I could ever tell her Jaxon is my ex cause then I'll need to explain to her why we broke up and it might put her off him if she finds out how he treated me.

I feel a tap on my shoulder, I turn around to see Devon which surprises me as he never talks to me at school not that he does at home either...

"Can I talk to you?" He asks.

I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion "yeah sure," I say getting up and grabbing my bag.

He walks off obviously expecting me to follow which I did, we walk into an empty classroom and he closes the door.

"So what did you want to talk about?" I ask.

"What happened with you and Adam yesterday in English?" He asks.

"Nothing happened," I say rolling my eyes.

"Yes, something did happen! Tell me," he says getting annoyed.

"What does it matter anyways? We broke up. We're done. We're over Devon!" I say raising my voice.

Gosh! like what's they're problem, they need to know every little thing that's happening in my life.

He glares at me angrily "don't speak to me in that tone," he says furiously.

"Oh, I'm sorry dad," i say mocking him.

He takes a couple dangerous steps closer me making now extremely scared.

"Just tell me what happened," he says rubbing his hand over his face.

"Nothing really, he was just acting weird he dropped his pencil and I handed it back to him. It just so happened that I was holding the sharp end of the pencil in my palm, so when he took it it cut my skin." I say looking away.

"And did anything happen when you both left the classroom to go to the nurse?"

"No nothing happened," I say still not making eye contact with him.

"Good! Cause if he puts a single finger on you I swear to god I will kill him," he says anger seething through him.

What he says shocks me.

like why though? Why is he saying that?

"Umm- can I go now," I say looking down.

"Go," he says.

I walk out the classroom thinking to myself. Do you think he would actually kill him if he touches me?

I'm just a bit taken back by this.

He always the one that jokes around and doesn't take shit seriously.

But then again at the last party we went to Jaxon came rushing in saying Devon got in a fight with someone and he was about to kill him...
