《His Scared Angel》13//Missing Her

It's only been three days since I have come to Malaysia yet I am missing Ishita's company. She was looking so sad while bidding me goodbye on the day of my departure that for one moment I felt like I should stay with her. But then again I have a company to run so with a heavy heart I finally come here.

Currently, I am going to the Berjaya Times Square Hotel for the next meeting with an important client. If everything goes well in the meeting then I will be able to secure the deal. Upon reaching the reception area I give the name of the person I am going to meet and then one of the hostesses leads me towards the restaurant area where the client is already waiting.

"Welcome, Mr. Bajaj. I hope you didn't face any difficulties in finding the address." Mr. Teuku greets me while shaking my hand before offering me the seat across from him.

"It's easy to find this place as it is very famous in here. By the way, where is your partner?" I ask when I notice that he is alone because when we talked over the phone, he told me that his business partner would be joining us in the meeting.

"Oh, there he is." He replies while pointing behind me so I turn around to see that an Indian man who is probably the same age as me coming towards us.

"Sorry for being late. I have some errands to run." The man exclaims before taking a seat beside Mr. Teuku.

"That's alright young man. Here meet our new business partner, Mr. Rudra Bajaj and Mr. Bajaj this is the business partner I was talking about. His name is Umang Pillai." Mr. Teuku remarks while Mr. Pillai shakes my hand.

"Finally, I get to meet you in person. I have heard a lot of things about your knowledge of business and wanting to meet you for some time. So when I got to know that you are coming here to sign a deal with our company I can't resist meeting you." Mr. Pillai says making me smile.

"Thank you for the compliment but I have to say that I am surprised to see you here as I wasn't aware that Mr. Teuku already has an Indian partner." I reply making him laugh.

"I may be an Indian by face but I have never been there as my father left the country before I was born. However, I have high hopes that one day I will be able to visit the beautiful country." Mr. Pillai replies.

"If we are going to work together then I think you have a pretty good excuse to visit India." I comments.

"Hmm, that's a good idea. Now, boys let's start the meeting." Mr. Teuku says making me nod my head.

After two hours of a long meeting, we sign the deal and bid goodbye to each other. I have another meeting with them to finalize some other important things about the deal which we will do tomorrow. That means I can go back to India sooner than I have thought.

I think I should get something for Ishita as this is the first time I have come on a business trip after the wedding. I always take something for Mom but this time I have to think about my wife too because I haven't given her anything since the wedding. So with that thought in mind, I tell the driver to take me to the nearby nice jewelry store. Soon the car stops in front of a store name Tiffany & Co.

The jewelry shop is full of different types of stylish jewelry but I know that my wife is not a fan of heavy jewelry so I want to find something simple for her.

"How can I help you, Sir?" A woman asks standing in front of me.

"I want to buy a simple yet elegant necklace." I inform.

"Let me show you our best collection. By the way, is there any budget limit for your purchase?" She asks.

"No, you can show me anything." I reply because it doesn't matter how much it costs. After all, this is the first time I am buying something for my wife and I don't want to think about any budget.

She shows me a lot of necklace which are really good but none of them is good enough for Ishita's simplicity. I sigh in annoyance while looking here and there when suddenly something catches my eye.

"Can you show me that one?" I ask.

"Oh, that's a good one. It's a new collection which has come this morning." The woman says before showing me the pretty pendant.

"This is a Pink Diamond and Akoya Pearl Butterfly pendant necklace which is known for its simplicity as well as its elegance." I nod my head in response before asking her to pack the necklace because I don't need to see any other one.

Suddenly, my phone ping indicating that someone has sent me a text so I excuse myself before taking out my phone to see that Moksh is the one to send me the text. First I thought to see it later as he keeps sending me videos of some cartoon characters but then curiosity gets the best in me and I open the text. Instantly a smile appears on my face seeing the carefree way Ishita is dancing in the rain.

"Ishu di pura masti kar rahi he yaha." That is what written in the text.

("Ishu di is having so much fun here")

I don't reply instead put my phone inside the jeans pocket before turning to face the woman and notice that she is already looking at me with a smile.

"I guess you are buying the necklace for the pretty lady on the video." She comments while handing me a small bag that has the necklace nicely packed.

"Yes, she is my wife and she is not a fan of heavyweight jewelry so I have to stick with the light necklace." I reply politely.

"Just looking at her face I can tell she is very simple and sweet. If I say so myself then I can guarantee you that she will love the gift." I smile hearing her remarks.

After paying for the purchase I leave the store and get inside the car to go to the hotel where I am staying. Upon reaching the hotel room I first take a shower and then order room delivery because I am very hungry.

I lay down on the bed before dialing Ishita's number to talk to her. It has become a routine for us to talk after I come back from meetings.

"So you finally got time to talk to me." Ishita says after picking up the call.

"I was busy all day so I didn't get time to call you before. By the way, why are you complaining so much when you are having fun while dancing in the rain?" I retort in amusement.

"How do you know that?" She asks confusingly.

"I may have left a little bodyguard to look after you." I reply thinking about the naughty brother-in-law of mine.

"Don't tell me you're talking about Moksh?" She lets out making me chuckle.

"Ugghh that mischievous boy. You guys are teaming up against me." She exclaims and I can imagining her pouting which is really adorable.

"He is not mischievous, he is just doing what his Jiju has asked him to do." I reply.

"Fine then talk to him, why bother to talk to me?" I bite my lip to stifle the laughter that trying to slip past my lips.

"Okay, I am sorry. Now stop complaining and tell me what you have eaten today for lunch." I ask trying to change the topic.

"I have eaten Coconut Milk Pulao, Baby Corn Fries, and Malai Kofta." She replies enthusiastically.

"Wow, so many things for lunch, and here I have only eaten Pepper Barbeque Chicken Pizza with coke." I let out faking a sad voice.

"Oh no, you only ate pizza for lunch. I think the hotel you are staying in doesn't have good food on their menu. Don't worry I will tell Maa to make yummy dishes for you when you come back." Now I can't hold my laugh anymore. This girl is too naive for her own good.

"What have I said to make you laugh?" She asks rather confused.

"Barbeque chicken pizza is one of the best pizzas in the world. I was just messing with you." I reply after controlling my laughter.

"And how am I supposed to know that? Did you forget that I am a pure vegetarian so how can I know which non-vegetarian dish will taste good?" She remarks with a huff.

"Ishu Papa tumhe bula rahe hein." I hear Roshni bhabhi's voice in the background.

("Ishu Papa is calling you.")

"I will talk to you later, bye." Ishita says before disconnecting the call making me sigh.

I get up from the bed before going in front of the window to look at the crowded street where so many people are walking around. I think I should bring Ishita here with me the next time because I am sure she will love it here.

It's amusing to think that I am the one who wants to spend more time with her now while a few months ago I despised the idea of marriage. But after spending these months with her I have realized that not every person is bad. Especially a person like Ishita who is so pure and sweet. Maybe that's why I am feeling a strong pull towards her. She is like a precious person who you want to protect at all costs and now I understand why her family adores her so much. Because it's rare to find a beautiful and selfless soul like her.
