《His Angels》sequel: chapter forty-three

"Juni, why are you crying?" Jax's soft voice asks as I stalked down the hallway carrying baby Leighton.

He's around six months old now and let me tell you this little boy cannot shut his trap.

I don't mind, Sol cried a lot but Leighton is beating her record. How long did he cry last night? 4 hours straight because his nose was stuffed.

"Juni, I don't know what's going on but just know that I'll always be here to listen to you. I promise I won't get angry." I walked into Journey's room.

Jax held our oldest daughter in his lap while she buried her face in his neck, tears running down her flushed cheeks.

Bodhi stands next to her tapping his foot while both of his fists were attached to his hip like Issac when he's scowling at the triplets for writing on the mirrors with lipstick that I accidentally gave them.

Sol is sitting against the small bookshelf, her hands covering her mouth like she's stopping herself from saying something.

Jax looks up at me as I walked in, his eyes pleading for help. His eyes then trailed onto our six-month-old son, smiling.

"What's wrong baby?" I asked sitting down next to Jax. I put Leighton against my body, as he thrashed around trying to get out of my hold.

Jokes on you buddy, you're staying put.

"You guys will get angry." She whispers.

"Baby, what did we tell you? We'll never get angry with you, that is an emotion that we don't bring here." I held her cute little hand, squeezing it a little. "Since when have mommy and daddy gotten mad at you?"

I genuinely cannot remember a time where we've yelled or got angry at the kids. We discipline them, but we don't yell.

Yelling is too much work.

That, and there's no point in getting angry. If you yell at the kids, they'll continue to do it because they're little assholes. Instead, Jax and I have always sat them down together so we can discuss the situation and explain to them the good and bad of that situation.

"I didn't say you were gonna get mad at me." She sasses while crying.

Jax and I looked at each other, then we looked at Sol. I raised my brow, staring into her blue eyes.

Her eyes widen, as she shakes her head covering her mouth. "Juni, you have to tell them or I will."

"Kaeden broke up with me." Journey pouts, crying again.

"Again?" I whispered, my eyes widening. Jax looks between Journey and I, then over at Sol and then Bodhi.

"Again? I didn't know you had a boyfriend, to begin with." Jax mutters. "I thought you tell me everything!" He exclaims punching my arm lightly.

"You should've joined our family talks in the bathroom." I shrugged.

Sometimes, the gossiping happens in the bathroom during our showers.

We just all huddle in a group on the bathroom floor when we're done and talk.

"Family talks? I feel left out." He frowns. "We can discuss these family talks later, who is this Kaeden kid? How many times did you break up?"

"Five."

"Five? I thought we were on two?" Sol exclaims coming closer to us to embrace her sister in a hug.

"We broke up three times this week. He kept giving my book to Casie Kallahan." She wraps her arms, holding them to her chest.

"What book?" I asked knowing how serious she could get with her books.

That girl loves them so much, she's probably sacrificed herself to a pack of wolves for one.

"Dork Diaries, the new one aunt Chloe bought for me last week." She sighs, her tears begin to flow again.

"Kasie has it still?" Jax asked and she nods.

"I want it back."

We turned to our bitchiest daughter, Soleil Monroe. She smirks, "I'll get it back for you, would you like me to yank her fake colored extensions out too?"

"Can you? That would probably hurt—"

I jump in, "Baby, no yanking hair. That's a weak move, I suggest just using your fist—"

"Brynnley." Jax calls out sternly, making me rethink my statement.

"Okay sorry, violence is not the answer." I placed Leighton back on my lap after he slipped off.

"I'd like for you to try and ask her in a passive yet a little aggressive way for the book back." Jax tells Sol who nods.

I nod too, "But if that little girl touches you, you have our full permission to beat her butt." Jax looks at me, like how my father would when I say something wrong, "Listen, if a fight is initiated I'd like my little girl to win. This is a family of winners, not losers."

I defended myself making him let out a deep chuckle, "Just don't hit her too hard, we don't like medical bills."

"That's for sure." I groaned remembering the medical bill for when I gave birth to my youngest.

Fuck America and its stupid laws and bills and shit.

"As for you Juni bug, Kaeden is toxic. Don't take him back, you deserve a man or woman who is going to treat you like you're the queen." Jax kisses her temple and wipes her tears away with the pad of his thumb.

"Focus on doing what makes you happy right now, like reading the new Junie B. Jones books we got you!"

She jumps out of Jax's lap, jumping up and down, "You got me more books?!"

"Well we're going to save it for your birthday but you seem to need it more right now." I nudged for Jax to go get the present from our room.

Journey trails after him, being way too excited and hopefully, has forgotten about that stupid Kaeden kid.

What an asshole. Breaking up with my previous, adorable daughter for some other chick.

Giving away her book too? What a fucking dickhead.

"Any boy or girl in your life?" I pinched Sol's cheek. "You too Bodhi, give me all the tea."

Sol raises a brow, one hand on her hip. "Mom, I told you that we're not discussing Ricky again."

"I didn't even say his name!"

"Well— you were thinking it! I hate boys." She grumbled sitting down next to me. "Except for Bobo and Lei."

"I'm not a boy, I'm a man." Bodhi exclaims, flexing his arm.

"You will be." I pat his cheek after he sits down on my other side. "Spill."

Bodhi smiles, showing his one dimple, "You're the only woman in my life momma, I have no room for anyone else."

I smiled, "You're so adorable."

He kisses my cheek before taking Sol's hand as they run out of the room and into their room to make yet another mess that I'll have to clean up.

I laid down, putting Leighton on his tummy so we're chest to chest. "I better be the only woman in your life mister, if I find out you have a little side lady I'm whooping your ass."

He giggles, his fingers hooking into my tank top. "I supply you with good milk, one look towards another lady and I'll take it away from you."

He smiles, showing two dimples before laying his head on my right boob. Unlike the twins who had a mixture of Jax's green eyes and my blue ones, he had the brightest green eyes I've ever seen.

Jax and Journey had lighter green eyes with golden flecks, but Leighton's were more emerald.

All my kids are so damn beautiful, they're gonna rule the world one day. I just know it.

Jax has applied for college, wanting to go back to get a degree. He's not majoring in anything yet, not being able to find a passion but we have time to figure it out.

Watching him bond with Leighton when our youngest was still a newborn was such an emotional experience. I watched as he did tummy time with him, fed him, held him when he was crying, doing everything he couldn't with the twins when they were this age.

I secretly take pictures so I could print them out to glue them in this secret photo album I bought so I could give it to him on his next birthday.

I don't think it'll be completed since there are so many photo slots but that just means he could take some and put it in there too.

Jax comes back in Journey's room where I'm laying with Leighton who's speaking gibberish to me while I nod and pretend to understand every word coming out of his mouth.

I think he's talking about how much of an amazing mom he has.

He really knows how to flatter me.

"Hey," He whispers, hovering over my body and Leighton's body.

"Hey." I smiled, leaning up to catch his lips. Leighton rolls over, slapping Jax's chest multiple times as we kiss. Lei finally lays a good kick on Jax's stomach, making him pull away from my lips.

"Jesus our boy is strong," Jax groans dramatically, rubbing his stomach.

I know that little kick doesn't hurt much considering Jax literally has the most beautiful six-pack I've ever seen.

He's just dramatic.

Jax's eyes trail down my hard nipple, poking through the thin material of my tank top. His eyes harden before he realizes once again he can't do dirty things to my boob.

"I wanna suck on them."

"Sorry baby, they belong to Leighton until further notice." I smiled, twirling a strand of my son's hair into a perfect curl.

He has a full head of thick, curly hair. One that he likes to pull and hurt himself on purpose, well accidentally because he's a baby.

"I had them first." He grumbles laying on my shoulder, kissing my jaw.

Leighton lays another smack on his daddy's cheek.

The one on his face.

Jax glares at our child, "This may be your mommy but she's my wife. I had her long before you did."

Lei looks at him and then bursts into a fit of laughter. Jax's glare falters, as the corners of his lips lift into a smile. "I can't even be mad at you." He picks Leighton off of my chest and hugs his little body planting kisses all over his face.

"I love you." I kissed Leighton's chubby cheek.

"What about me?" Juni smiles, jumping on my lap.

"I love you too baby." I kissed her temple and held her chin in my hand.

"Don't forget about us." Sol drags Bodhi in as they all tackled me.

Me. They could've tackled their father who worked out every day but no they chose the weaker parent.

"Eek!" I squealed when someone latched onto my boob with a tight grip.

"My bad," Jax smirks and I sent him a glare.

I'm going to kick his ass tonight.
