"Jaxon we're gonna be late!"

"Good! I don't wanna go."

"No no, we've been on a 5-week streak! Get your ass downstairs so we can leave." I hear her losing her patience downstairs.

I groaned loudly which makes her scoff. "What are you 13? Get your ass down here!"

I quickly went down the stairs to see Brynn standing there glaring at me. She was wearing a pair of jeans, a fitted black top, and her vans.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer." She grabs her hand pulling me out the door.

She opens the door for me and pushed me inside closing it behind her.

She gets in the car and I glared at her. "I'm supposed to be the one opening the door for you."

"Eh who cares." She waved it off.

"I do. I'm the man in this relationship."

"Yeah but you're acting like a little boy right now so fix it." She claps back. She sped out of the driveway and goes to my therapy office.

I've been going to therapy for five weeks. Every time we went Brynn would drag me out of bed and force me into the car.

It's starting to make me feel like a girl. A little 13-year-old girl.

Dr. Alex has been nice, but I just didn't want to talk about my problems. It was hard for her to get me to let out what I was keeping it but eventually, by week three she got it out.

Every session she'd ask me the same 17 questions for a check-up and it wasn't terrible but it wasn't bad.

Brynn would always sit in the front either talking to the workers or she was constantly on her phone. She waited every second.

Last week's talk with Dylan got me thinking about how I wanted to ask Brynn to go on a date and where I wanted to take her.

She deserved the best and only the best.

We'd arrived at the office and Brynn was pushing me inside. "C'mon child, it's time for your appointment." She says patting my head.

The workers inside smiled. "You guys are adorable."

Brynn and I just looked at each other smiling. "Thank you." I thanked the ladies at the desk.

"Now go on. Express yourself. Free your thoughts. I'll be waiting out here." Brynn told me.

I rolled my eyes with a smile. "Fine."

I go into the office, greeting my therapist. She was middle-aged, with straight black hair, her skin had a couple of wrinkles but she always held the biggest smile that just made you warm up inside.

"Good afternoon Jax, how has your week been?" She asks flipping through my file.

"Good. The nightmares aren't as bad anymore."

"Good, I'm glad to hear that." She takes out a piece of paper and a pen. "We have to do the check-up questions. This time I'll only ask a couple."

I nodded.

"How many days did you experience a nightmare this week?" She asks.

"Five days."

She nods writing it down. "Have you ever felt like you were reliving that moment again?"

I shook my head. "No."

"Okay, have you had any physical reactions when you had the nightmares or thought about that stressful experience?"

"Yes." I sighed.

She nods, "That's okay, it's normal. Have you been trying to avoid talking about the subject?"

That question made me chuckle. When I first came back, my mom questioned me every second she got trying to get me to talk about the things I experienced. At first I kept pushing her away but eventually, she got me to open up about it. I understand why she did it, it was just to get me to not hold it in.

"No."

"Okay, have you avoided doing anything that could potentially remind you of the stressful experience?"

"No. Not that I know of."

"Mhm, have you been distant with anyone?"

"Not when I'm living with Brynnley." I chuckled. She laughs too, nodding in the process.

"Have you felt jumpy or easily startled?"

"Sometimes."

"When?"

"When a doorbell rings or I hear a small crash outside of the house," I replied truthfully.

"That's normal, we can work on that next session. Do you have trouble falling asleep?"

"Only after a nightmare."

She nods, writing it down and then closing the file.

"You're getting better Jax, I can see it. You just need to continue to open up with me telling me everything that you experienced. It'll help me help you get better. As you progress we will change and create new ways to help you heal." I nodded smiling a bit.

"I'm proud of you," Brynn says catching my attention. She was driving us back home.

"What?"

"I'm proud of you. Going to a therapist to express your feelings is a hard thing to do, I mean Jackie and my parents practically had to drag me by my hair to go to a therapist last year. Dr. Alex really patched me up." She tells me.

"When did you go to therapy?" I asked.

"After I came back here and bought this house. I refused to go to therapy during college but when I came back here all the adults, even my sister ganged up on me. They all pushed me into the car and drove me to Dr. Alex's office and left me there with no money or a phone." She laughs reminiscing.

I chuckle to imaging the scene. "I'd say I'm surprised but I'm really not. Our parents are wild."

"They sure are." She smiles her eyes still focused on the road ahead.

"Hey, can I ask you something?"

She glances over at me quickly, "Sure."

"Will you go on a date with me?"

I watched her, I could tell that she was suppressing her shock. However, her facial expressions showed me she wasn't going to say no.

She held a big smile on her face, her eyes glistening.

"I'd love to. When?" She replies softly.

"Tomorrow at 7 pm."

"Okay, do I dress fancy or casual?"

"I prefer you with no clothes on," I muttered and she gasps jerking the car forward. Luckily we were at a red light.

She looks over at me and hits my shoulder. "Do not say those things to me while I'm driving."

"You're getting turned on?" I bit my lip to hold back my smirk.

It's good to know I still have that effect on her.

She rolls her eyes with a smile. "Shut up."

Time to go get my girl back.

It's time for Jax to get his girl back! I'm excited teheheheheheheeh.

Question thingy is what is one word you can never spell right? Mine is clothes (I spell it as cloths) and exercise (I spell it as excersize) If a killer asked me to spell exercise or he'll kill me, I'd die on the fucking spot without even trying lmaoo.

Anyways, I hope everyone is having a good week. Please remember to stay safe, love yourself. Love you, MUAH!
