Aveliene's pov:

Its been three days since, I last met Vaughn and proved my innocence. I tried hard but he never leaves my mind.

Currently I am sitting on the bed. I have not yet decided when should I tell mom and dad about this.

They haven't called me that means Vaughn hasn't told his parents otherwise my parents would also have known about it. I sighed.

"Ave somone has come to meet you." Cassie's voice snapped me out from my thoughts.

"Yeah, I am coming." I said and went downstairs. I entered the living room and saw Cassie she was standing near the sofa while the guy's front was facing her. His back was facing me.

I moved towards them and was surprised to see a familiar face.

"Alex what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Aveliene can I talk to you?" He said hesitantly. To which I glanced at Cassie then slowly nodded.

"You guys talk, I am going out for shopping. And Ave call me if you need anything." Cassie said and left.

We both took our seats. I sat on the couch adjacent to Alex. I then gestured him to speak.

"Soooo I came to know about your and Vaughn's argument." He began, but I cut him off.

"Alex I dont want to talk about him and if he send you here then tell him that I don't care about him." I said firmly.

"No, Aveliene he didn't sent me. I came here on my own. I know what he did is unforgivable. But he has realized his mistake. He is feeling sorry for his act. These past days have been a torture to him. I have seen him suffering." He said with concern. And I felt my heart sank on listening about Vaughn.

No I can't let my stupid feelings took over me.

"I dont care how he feels. He didn't trusted me Alex. Even when I begged him to, then also he trusted them but not me, his own wife." I said with anger as I felt my eyes getting heavy.

Alex eyes soften as he spoke.

"I understand that he did wrong and your anger is justified. But please think think about your relationship, your future, about your parents. About your love." He said the last part softly. But I remained silent.

"I know he loves you as much as you love him. I myself never thought that after such a tormenting past he could still cares for someone like he does to you." He said.

"But Alex, he has broken my trust. He has hurted my feelings, how could I forgive him." I explained as a lump formed in my throat.

"I can understand your feelings but that dude really cares for you, I can see it. I just wish he wouldn't have messed up. Seriously, he has ruined everything, including my trust. But the last few days, he has completely indulge himself in work. I have never watched him so devastated. He really feels something deeper for you that made him so broken when he lost you, just due to his one silly mistake." He said the last part with anger.

"But Aveliene he still is my bestfriend. And for his sake, I came here to request you to atleast meet him, just once. Let him explain himself. Please." He sighed and stood up when I remained silent.

"I hope you will make the right decision." He said and left. But his words constantly rings in my mind.

Does Vaughn finally, realized his mistake?

Does he really feels sorry?

No, even if he has reliazed then it is too late now. I have made my decision and I am not backing away.

Right now, I am having lunch with Cassie. Suddenly my phone beeped. I looked at the screen and was surprised but more infuriated to see a message from Vaughn.

'Can I please meet you. I really need to talk.'

I quickly texted back.

'There is nothing left to talk. Don't message me again.'

I then sent it and shut my phone.

Suddenly! My phone rang, I checked and saw the caller ID. It was Vaughn. I quickly rejected it and switched off my phone. But Cassie noticed it.

"Ave, I am not taking his side but I think you should meet him, once. Just listen his explanation. Maybe he wants to apologize. And I can't see you in pain. I know despite his wrong act you still have feelings for him." She said in a calm tone.

"No, Cassie, I have trusted him once and that resulted in my heartbreak. I can't let that happen again. So don't insist me." I stated firmly. To which she sighed.

You have broken my heart Vaughn. And it's not forgivable. Never.

Currently, I am laying on my bed while reading. Suddenly! My room's gate bust opened.

I looked up and my eyes widen with surprise and a gasp leaves my lips to see......Vaughn.

Eventhough it's been few days since I last saw him but it felt like forever.

Vaughn is dressed in faded jeans and white t- shirt. I looked up at his face which was now looking so devastated. His blue eyes have lost their charm. His expression his plain. His hairs are all messy.

What Alex said was right, Vaughn looks so broken.

I quickly sat upright. And met his eyes. He gave me a small smile, which usually melts my heart but now, it pains me. I stood up and stared at him with confusion and anger.

"What are you doing here Vaughn? How did you even get in?" I asked.

"Your friend, let me in." He said nonchalantly and shrugged.

"That's not possible. Cassie will not do that" I tried to say it sternly but it came out as a whisper. Gosh, where is my confidence gone, when I am near him?

I looked up and met his eyes which now held amusement. He took a step closer to me while I step back.

"Maybe your friend has a change of mind. Afterall she really cares for you." He said and took one more step.

"Now we can talk." He said with his intimidating gaze.

"I don't care if she changed her mind. But I have not and so I am not in a mood to talk to you." I said and made my way passed him and was about to leave the room when he closed the door shut. I yelped and quickly composed myself.

"You are not going anywhere, until you let me explain myself." He said in his firm business tone. I felt my blood boil with rage.

How dare he ordered me.

"I don't want to listen any of your silly explanations. And last time I remember you said that you don't want to see my face then why now?" I said with anger.

To which he sighed and spoke.

"Aveliene, I know you are angry with me. And I am sorry for my mistake. I know I messed up but I am feeling bad about it. Just listen to me once. Please." He said and his eyes soften. For once I just want to hug him. But I refrained myself. No I can't forgive him, not after he shattered my trust, my heart.

"No, I don't care if you have realized your mistake, its too late now. Just leave me alone." I said firmly and folded my arms on my chest, averting my gaze.

I heard him sigh.

"Then you left me with no option." He said and I looked at him dumbfoundedly.

He came near with a menacing look. I felt a chill pass down my spine. So I quickly pushed him aside and dashed out of the room. I could hear him chuckle darkly behind me. And his voice stopped me.

"So you want to run, then fine run. But if you stopped, then I will be right behind you. And if I catch you then you have to listen to me and there is no escaping and you will regret for ever stopping." He said in a dark husky voice. And I gulped and quickly ran towards the other room. I could feel his footsteps following me.

I quickly entered the room and was about to close it, when he blocked it with his foot. And came inside. I looked here and there but there was no way out. I was trapped. Damn.

"So where you will go now?" He asked and I looked at him, frantically out for my breath.

"Finally I found you and as I said there is no escaping." He said with a smirk and took menacing steps. I retreated back feeling a little scared.

"By running away from me, you have lit up the burning desire inside me to chase you. To have you all by myself. Not only your body is mine but your heart too." He said and took another step closer. His eyes darken. I could feel my heart beating hard. As it could explode anytime.

"And I am not leaving." He said and leaned closer to my ear, his minty breath fanning the sides of my cheek.

"Because I will never leave what belongs to me, and you are mine." He whispered as his lips brushes against my earlobes. I shivered. And I think he felt it too because a dark smile touches his lips.

"Vaug-" I began but a gasp leaves my lips as he started leaving feather like kisses on my neck. My mind was constantly reminding to push him away. But I wasn't listening, I don't know how he has this power over me.

"Forgive me, and come back to me,Aveliene. Because believe me I never had this desire to love someone before as much as I had for you." He whispered and immediately my senses came back and before I could push him he slid his arm under my neck and knees and holded me in a bridal style.

"Vaughn leave me." I protested but he wasn't listening. He took me outside the house and I saw Cassie standing there. I signaled her to help me but she mouthed me a 'sorry' and winked.

How supportive friends I have. Note the sarcasm.

Vaughn placed me in his car. And before I could get out he slammed the door shut and jogged towards his side and sat inside the car.

"Vaughn let me get out of here, now. I am not going anywhere with you-" I began but he put his finger on my lips, shutting me.

"Shhh I am not leaving you,not until you listen to my explanation. And that's final." He said and I remained quiet, not because he said but I myself was angry at him.

Vaughn ignited the engine and began driving. While I looked outside the window, trying to calm myself. But I could feel his gaze on me. And through my peripheral vision I saw him smiling.

It's really going to be a long night.
