Aveliene's pov:

Lying to Vaughn is making me feel bad. But before getting into any conclusion I want to confirm my own suspicion. And if I had told Vaughn he would make the things more complicated, before even checking them. I have seen his anger at the club. He reacts impulsively and that is not good.

I sighed and picked up my phone. I scrolled down the contacts as Dimitri's name flashed. I am glad that I saved it during Ashton's party. I dialed his number but he didn't picked up. Maybe he is busy as it is working hours.

I decided to message him.

'I want to meet you.'

I texted and clicked on the send button. And shut the phone.

After few minutes my phone beeped and I opened it.

'Meet me at 'Posh Dinning' restaurant at 4'

I read the text and sended an 'okay' in return before shutting my phone.

I glanced at the watch it was 3:30 right now. It is around twenty minutes drive way from here to Posh Dinning. So I quickly got up and sat inside my car and sped off.

"What's the name?" The manager asked.

"It is under Dimitri Martinez" I replied politely.

"Ofcourse, right this way, Mr Martinez is already waiting for you" the manager led me towards the table. As I glanced around. All the people were dressed in fancy clothes. I too was dressed in a dark satin dress.

This restaurant is one of the most expensive ones. No wonder Dimitri made me to meet him here. Just Typical billionaires.

We reached the table as I saw Dimitri sitting there, it was the VIP area reserved just for two of us. Dimitri was dressed in a formal black suit, looking good. Somehow I felt like I am on a date. But I dropped that thought. I have to focus on getting my doubts clear.

Dimitri stood up on seeing me. He kissed the back of my hand, like a gentleman. As I smiled.

The manager passed us our menus and left. As we took our seats.

"You are looking beautiful, Aveliene", Dimitri said with a smile and gave me a red rose which I politely took.

"Thank you Dimitri, by the way I came here to have a important conversation." I said to which he gestured me to continue.

"Actually I don't know how to began...." I trailed off nervously, not knowing how to ask him without any offense.

"Is this about Mr Smith's Project deal, isn't it?", Dimitri said catching me off guard.

His friendly demeanor now turned into a serious one.

"Umm yes, but how do you know that I came here for that?", I asked with confusion.

To which he chuckles.

" Well I know this because Mr Smith has given that Project deal to my company" he said while looking straight into my eyes. While I blinked my eyes dumbfoundedly.

"So it was really you who copied those designs?" I asked with astonishment. To which he smirked and spoke.

"You are right, I copied them when I met you yesterday. It was really easy." He said and took a sip from his drink.

"But- how- I mean why you did this?", I asked with disbelief to which he stared at me for a moment before smiling.

"I did this because I hate Vaughn Rodriguez. He was always a competition for me. Not only in school but, in business too", he said bitterly.

"He always got on the top of success ladder. And I am envious of him for being so lucky. He never leaves a chance to brag about his damn success. Look he also married such a beautiful girl like you." He scoffed. While I stared at him with wide eyes.

"I waited for a right time to make him pay and I got it yesterday. And now the deal which he worked so hard for, fell into my hands without any problem." He said with a smirk. While I looked at him with disbelief and anger.

"You did that just for success, just to take revenge from him. Just for your silly jealously." I scoffed with disbelief.

"I am not jealous of him. I am just envious of him. But it doesn't matter now. I just want him to feel the same way he made me feel everytime he win those awards", he said with pure bitterness.

"No Dimitri, you are doing wrong. Even if you are envious of him. You can't just copy his designs it is illegal." I tried to explain him.

"There is no proof that I did that and by the way everything is fair in business, sweetheart, and he deserves this for his arrogance", he said with a smirk. And I could see pure hatred in his grey eyes for Vaughn.

"Even I want you to join me. Together we can destroy him. He doesn't deserve a beautiful innocent girl like you, Aveliene. I deserve you, and I like you. So come amd join hands with me." He said casually while I looked at him with shock.

"Excuse me, Are you out of your mind, Dimitri?" I said with anger and disbelief. To which he chuckles.

"Come on Aveliene, I know you don't like him, I also know what torture he made you pass through" He said while drinking his drink and I looked at him with shock.

"Ho-how do you know about it?" I asked as I know although Vaughn has done bad things to me before. But we maintained our lovey-dovey act infront of every one. So how he knows?

"I have my ways, Aveliene ", he said and winked at me. While my anger increased.

"You are doing wrong and I will not help you in destroying Vaughn!" I firmly stated, inhaling for composure.

"I trusted you as a friend and you used me. I can't believe Dimitri. You are blinded with the hunger for power" I said harshly and stood up. I can't stay here anymore. Not with him. But his voice stopped me. He stood up and neared me as I fell back on to the chair, there was such a menacing look on his face. He suddenly leans in and spoke-

"I really like you so I will give you an option, Aveliene. Either you can join hands with me and enjoy a wonderful life. Or......stay with him and watch , how I will destroy him and will snatch away all his precious things. Call me if you made your decision I will be waiting for you" He said with a wicked grin and winked at me.

I felt anger building inside me.

"You are delusional!" I said and stormed out of the restaurant. How dare he said that to me. I need to inform Vaughn about him. He is a threat. A danger.
