My eyelids opened as I looked at my surroundings, I rubbed my eyes to get a clear vision. Then instantly last night's events came crashing over me.

Angry Vaughn.

Third debt.

The dog.

I can't belive I slept with a ferocious dog inside my room. Gosh.

I looked around quickly to find the dog but.......it was not there. Strange.

Just then the door opened.

Vaughn stood and looked at me. He was now dressed up in his formal attire. His hairs were wet as the drops went down to his forehead trailing down his cheeks. Charmer.

I shook my head, what the hell I am thinking. I scolded myself internally.

I looked at his oceanic orbs which were studying me. I lowered my gaze.

And spoke the first question that came into my mind,"Where is the dog?"

He didn't said anything so I looked up. And saw a playful smirk tugging at his lips,"Do you miss him? Want me to bring him back?, he said teasingly.

"What? NO!", I quickly replied. To which he chuckles, I am surprised ,it's a genuine one not evil, for the first time I saw him chuckling, his voice angelic yet addicted that made my stomach do somersaults.

And involuntarily a smile tugs at my lips.

"I didn't thought that you will be able to complete it but.....you did it. And as I always kept my words, I decided to give you a little reward." He said.

"What reward?" , I asked curiously.

He looked at me with his beautiful blue orbs.

"You can go back to your parents home for today." He said and I felt so happy. I haven't met them since the wedding.

"But I will pick you up at night ." I frowned but composed myself and nodded. He then went outside closing the door.

I slowly, make my way towards the washroom. I stripped my clothes and stood under the shower.

I washed my auburn hairs with strawberry scented shampoo. It fragrance enters my nostrils and gives relaxing sensation.

I then stepped out and wrapped my fluffy towel. And entered my closet and picked up a green floral dress which stopped at my ankle.

I put some light makeup. And straightened my hairs. Then I went downstairs.

Ella gave me a warm motherly smile. Which I returned gladly.

I looked for him but Vaughn was not there. Ella understood my confused expression And spoke,"Mr. Rodriguez is in his study. He already had his breakfast." I nodded and had my breakfast.

Till then Vaughn also came down.

"If you are done then I am waiting outside." He said and went outside the mansion.

I quickly grabbed my purse and went outside. He was standing near his white mustang. I reached there as he opened the door for me and I sit.

Although he is rude but still chivalrous.

He then jogged towards the driver's seat. We then fell into silence as he drove me to my parents house. I haven't told them yet as I want to surprise them. Although I am going just for sometime,but I will make the best of it.

I really miss them, especially after gone through this torture.

I glanced at Vaughn who was staring straight at the road. I sighed and turned towards the window.

We reached my home or I say my previous home. The guards opened the mansion's gate as we pass through it.

I stepped out of the car. And turned towards Vaughn as he rolled the window down.

"Aren't you going to come inside?" ,I asked as he turned towards me.

"I have very important work to do rather then meeting your parents." He said casually and I felt anger, can't he just agree with me for once. Arrogant.

Although I want to say more but closed my mouth and turned and went inside the house.

I went inside the living room and saw my dad reading the newspaper. While my mom is looking at the garden.

She was the first one to notice my presence, a huge grin spread on her face as she approaches me and took me in a warm comforting hug.

I realize how much I missed her.

"Aveliene honey, what a surprise! I and your dad missed you a lot", she said while we pulled apart.

"Me too ,by the way how are you mom?" I asked.

"I am fine, and after seeing you I am very happy", she said and I smiled.

"Hey don't you miss your dad?" This time it was my dad who came towards me while smiling.

"Ofcourse dad" I said and hugged him.

"By the way where is Vaughn?" He asked and I bit my lip.

"He said he has some important work so he doesn't came", I told the truth although I felt bad.

My dad was about to speak when a voice spoke from behind me.

"Nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Lawrence ", a deep calm voice said from behind and instantly I recognized it.

Vaughn came and stood beside me. I turned towards him with confusion as he just smirked in return.

"Nice to meet you our handsome son-in-law", my mom said and took him in a hug.

He then shook hands with my dad.

"Aveliene said that you are busy?" My dad asked with confusion.

Vaughn looked at me then at my dad-"I don't know why she said that but I was just parking my car and came to meet you. If she doesn't want me here then I will take your leave." He said innocently, while I looked at him with shock and anger.

He was about to leave when my dad spoke,"Wait son I think there was some confusion,and by the way this is also your house. And we are really happy to see you. "

Vaughn turned and nodded and came near me.

"Well I am glad that you both came to visit us." My dad said with a smile.

"So now me and your dad will go and set up the lunch and Aveliene you can show him around ", my mom said as she and dad left with happy faces.

I turned and glared at Vaughn who gave me an innocent look.

"Why did you lie?" I asked.

"I don't know what you are talking." He said innocently. But I can see the mischief in his eyes.

I wanted to retort him but stopped myself as I don't want my mom and dad to have any suspicion.

We then went to have a tour of the house.

I showed him the the garden, swimmingpool as we came to my room.

We entered inside my room, everything was neatly organized. As I saw my photos, study desk, while reminiscing my bachelor life.

Vaughn looked around and I felt a little conscious waiting for him to say something.

"Nice room", he said while admiring.

I felt a smile tugged at my lips as I reply.

"Thanks ,I designed it myself." He nodded in response.

We then went downstairs towards the dinning room. Lunch was set up as we took our seats.

And luckily Vaughn took a seat beside me. Note the sarcasm.

Our arms brushed as we took our seats which was enough to sent electricity throughout my body.

The lunch went on with Vaughn and my dad talking about business. While mom and me talked about fashion.

I know sooner she is going to ask about my wedding life but I am thankful that she is not asking now.

Vaughn then took our leave.

"I will pick you up at eight" He said in my ear and then left.
