Two days have passed, since that incident between me and Vaughn. We were so close to kiss eachother but....it never happened.

Now it was slight awkward between us as Vaughn is avoiding me since then. He didn't said it but I have felt. As he left for his office early so we don't meet at the breakfast, while he came very late at night as I already got slept.

My thoughts were interrupted by my ringing phone. I looked at the caller ID it was Stacey, I smiled as I haven't heard from her since the wedding. I have talked with my mom and Cassie but not her, I wonder how the things are between her and Alex.

I answered the call. Instantly she spoke-"Hey Ave, how are you girl? Sorry for not calling earlier as I don't want to disturb your new life." She said.

"Hi Stay, I am fine and no problem I can understand." I replied politely.

"By the way, Ave I called you to invite you to have lunch with me at the Barista Cafe. If you can?" She said.

I thought for a moment. Should I ask Vaughn but I don't think so he will mind as he himself is avoiding so why should I care.

"Sure Stacey, I will like it", I said.

"Great, so I will pick you in fifteen minutes ," She said and ended the call.

I got up and went inside the closet and changed into a blue jeans and red tank top and stylish black jacket. I put some mascara then grabbed my purse and went downstairs.

Stacey was already there, standing next to her car. As I approached her.

"Hey Ave you really have a nice mansion." She said while admiring the house.

"Thanks" I said and we then sat inside the car to reach the Cafe.

We reached the Cafe and took our seats.

A waitress came to take our order.

Stacey ordered a brownie frappe, while I ordered a chocolate smoothie.

The waitress noted our orders and left.

Stacey turned towards me and I know this moment was going to come.

"So tell me, how's your wedding life? Is he treating you nicely? If not then he is going to face my wraith. Tell me Ave" She said in a single breath.

"Relax Stay, my life is going fine and Vaughn is treating me good," I said although I myself was not satisfied with my answer. But she bought it and smiled.

"Now tell me how are things between you and Alex?" I asked.

"Ave he is really very nice and caring. I am glad I met him." She said honestly and smiled.

"I am happy for you Stay", I said.

Our order came, as we chatted about sports, politics, celebs all the general talks.

"May I join you both?" A familiar voice said and we both turned.

It was Alex with his charming smile. He was wearing dark jeans with Grey shirt.

"Sure Alex you can join us", I said as he took a seat beside Stacey ,opposite to me.

"So Aveliene,is my best friend treating you right? I like him but if he is not treating you right then I can beat him for it." He said sincerely.

"Thanks Alex, but your best friend is treating me right so no need for it."

I said not wanting to show my sadness. He nodded.

We all chatted for a while.

Suddenly my eyes caught a very familiar person approaching us.

As he came close I noticed it was Jason, Stacey's ex boyfriend. Oh-oh.

"I see so you have moved on so soon. That also with Alex Kingsley. I thought you are a nice girl but no, Emily was right you are a cheap person and runs behind money. " Jason said harshly.

I looked at Stacey who was on the verge of crying while Alex fist were clenched.

Oh no I have to do something.

"Get away from here Jason, you don't have a right to speak to her like that after your break up." I said sternly.

"You don't speak between us Aveliene, and by the way I didn't do break up with her , she did. " He scoffed.

"Enough this is not the way to talk with ladies." Alex said with anger.

"So now I have to learn to talk with ladies from a rich spoilt brat and player Alex Kingsley." He scoffed. And the next moment Alex punched him on the face.

"How dare you accused me?" Alex said angrily and punched him again.

Jason touched his bleeding lip and was about punch Alex when, Emily came from behind wearing very short green dress.

"What happened baby?", Emily spoke while seeing Jason's bleeding lip.

"Take him away Emily", I said as Jason was about to fight with Alex. To which she nodded and pulled Jason with her.

"Baby why are you wasting your energy on them. Let's leave", Emily said while looking at Stacey with angry look.

"Yeah you are right", Jason said and went away before giving a last glare at us.

Stacey hugged Alex, while he and I comforted her.

After that we paid our bills. And stepped outside. Stacey was still sad. So I asked Alex to drive her home.

"Wait Ave ,I will drive you too" Alex said .

"No Alex I will take a cab, right now Stacey needs you" I assured him and he nodded then they both went off.

As I was about to call a cab, I saw a car came beside me and stopped. The window rolled down and I saw Ashton.

"Hi Ave, want a drive", he asked politely.

"Thanks but no Ashton I will take a cab." I said.

"Come on Ave you know I will not let you take a cab when I am here." He said and I thought for a while then nodded. And sat inside.

It was evening now.

"So how is your wedding life, Ave?", Ashton asked politely.

"Its going good Ashy", I said while giving him a smile.

He nodded.

We then chatted about football as both Ashton and I like it.

We reached our mansion as I instructed him.

I stepped outside the car and looked at him through the rolled down window.

"Would you like to come inside?" I asked.

"I would like it but I had some work so maybe next time ". He said, to which I nodded.

"Thanks Ashton for the drive", I said

"No problem Ave, See you soon, bye" He smiled and waved at me.

I smiled and waved back. He then sped off.

I turned around and entered the mansion.

Instantly I was greeted by Vaughn, correction a very angry Vaughn, Oh -oh.
