Aveliene's pov:

In one day my life has changed completely. I'm getting married to a person who I personally don't know anything about. How Ironic!!

As I was crying. I heard my room's door opened, My mom came towards and as she saw me. Her eyes softened and she hugged me and I hugged her back.

"Aveliene honey, you know your dad loves you. And whatever decision he has made is best for everyone."

"Bu-but mom how could he force me into a loveless marraige." I stutter but continued.

"All he cares about is his business. He don't care about my concern." I said with anger.

"It's not like that honey, you know he really cares about you but he doesn't show that. As a mafia leader and CEO, he has several responsibilities and he is following them. He truly cares about you. You should trust him and accept his decision willingly. It's for the best."

After listening to mom's explanation. I think she is right my dad's decisions have always proven correct. And I know he loves me I have seen in his eyes.

I think this business had made him cold just like my mom said.

"Mom I think you are right."She smiled at me.

"But mom what about if Vaughn. Doesn't like me?". After all he is the perfect guy who any girl would willingly marry. And has playboy charms. And we can't ignore the fact that he has done terrible things.

"Honey you should not think like that. You are a very nice and beautiful girl. And we all love you. I know that you both haven't met each other but if he doesn't want to marry than he would have denied."

"And trust me , I and your father have already met him and his parents they are very nice. And their son 'Oh what could I say he is truly a gentleman'. I know he would always keep you happy. And remember we can only learn about a person'snature by living with them not what others say, honey." Though I haven't met him but one thing I am sure that this guy know when to play smart as look he has already impressed my parents who are hard to impress.

I had always worked hard to achieve their expectations.

My mom always see the positive in everyone but I can't ignore the fact that he is a ruthless man.

My mom paused than continued,

"Although the circumstances are not what you have thought but who knows maybe God has send him as Your Prince Charming." My mom winked and smiled at me and I blush. Before even meeting him ,this guy had made me blush. I think maybe Mom is right.

"I understand mom, I hope what you are saying is true . Maybe I am just overthinking." I smiled and assured her. Although I myself was not satisfied with my words.

"That's like my good girl. Now, I am leaving because I and your dad have to do lots of arrangements." By 'lots' I understood its going to be a grand party.

She kissed me on forehead and left.

I laid on my bed and unlock my phone and Google the very first person who has changed my life.

'Vaughn Rodriguez'

'20 years old. Completed his graduation from Harvard University. And has won Many awards at such young age. He took over his father's company as the CEO of Rodriguez corporations. And made the company a huge success. Within such less time span.

He's got the looks and he's got the brain.

I open images and saw him dressed like a Greek God. I don't know why he chose business 'cause he could do modeling and can easily defeat anyone. No doubt! why he has such a large popularity more than the celebrities.

"Such a charmer", My inner conscience spoke.

His face was expressionless but still make him intimidating. I looked closer and the thing which held me captivated was his mysterious oceanic blue eyes. As I could just drown in them.

I scrolled down and saw him with different models. Now I felt slight jealous. But I know he has the playboy trait.

I wish the terrible things, I have heard about him prove wrong other wise, I can't imagine what my life will be....

As I was searching his pics ,I heard my bedroom door slammed open and I quickly turned to look at the person.

It was my best friend Cassie. And she was not looking happy. Oops.

She came towards me and faced me.

"Why you didn't tell me?" . She spoke through gritted teeth.

" About what?" I asked feeling confused.

"What? I am talking about your upcoming engagement". She replied as if I have asked the most silly question.

"Who told you about that?" I asked calmly.

"Of course your mom. I met her downstairs while she was talking to the event planner." She replied in a duh tone. To which I just nodded.

"Now tell me who is that lucky guy?", she said with excitement and mischief. I know she will not stop asking until I tell her. It's going to be a long night.
