2 months later.
"Landons taking me out tonight." I tell Violet.
She smiles at me.
"Do you know where?" She asks me as she pours herself some water.
"Nope, he says 'I have to wait.'" I tell her, rolling my eyes.
Violet laughs and shakes her head.
"Well, go and get ready." Violet says shooing me away.
I sigh and walk over to my room.
I pull out my outfit and begin getting ready.
*
I look down at the large bump on my stomach and smile.
Just as I walk out of my room my head turns to the front door as I see Landons figure leaning against it.
His eyes glance up from his phone to me and I smile widely.
He opens his arms and I embrace him.
He pulls away after a while and wraps an arm around my waist.
"Come on." He gestures towards the door.
I walk out of the door with him not before giving Violet a smile, she grins at me and winks before shutting the front door.
We make it to his car and he helps me get in, placing the seatbelt around me.
The drive was an hour long and I had only then realised we were placed back in our town.
I look up to see that it was the place we had called ours.
I grin at him as tears stringed at my eyes.
God damn pregnancy hormones.
We walk over to the meadow filled with flowers and the cliff that looked over our city.
Landon had a blanket placed down on the ground and he helped me sit down.
Once we got comfortable, he took out a small box from his pocket.
I watched him curiously, his right hand took my left one and placed the box into my hand.

His eyes never left mine as he watched me open the box.
A single key was placed in the box.
"Move in with me?" He says.
My head snaps to him as I realise what all this was.
I smile widely and wrap my arms around him.
He carefully wraps his around mine and I smile against his neck.
"Yes." I answer him.
He sighs as if it was a breath of relief.
I kiss his cheek and turn my head to face him.
He looked at me blankly before moving his plump lips onto my own.
Our lips moved in sync with each other's, his lips felt perfect against mine.
I pull away after a short while and lean my head against his chest.
He brings his lips to my neck, leaving a trail of feather-like kisses against it.
My eyes flutter shut as I take in the pleasure he was bringing me.
His lips trail back up to my jaw then to my cheek and finally my lips.
He pecks them and then moves his head back.
I look into his stormy grey eyes and immediately get lost in them.
He looks back into mine blankly but I could see the emotion that was held in them.
"I love you, Layla." He whispers.
I smile softly and peck his cheek.
"I love you, Landon." I say back.
A small smile graces his lips, which makes me smile wider.
I move away from him and take the box in my hand.
"So, when am I moving into yours?" I ask him.
"Ours." He corrects.
I purse my lips and smile.
"Ours." I say.
He runs a hand through his black hair before replying.
"Tomorrow." He says.
I frown confused.
"I already talked to Violet, she's helped me." He explains.

Sneaky bitch.
I nod my head in understanding.
I lean back and look up to the stars.
I watch them twinkle in the sky making me smile slightly.
I exhale a deep breath and look back down at Landon.
His eyes were on me already, his lips were perked up to a small smile and I squinted my eyes at him.
"What?" I ask him.
He looks away and shrugs.
"Your beautiful." He says casually.
I feel myself go red and I look down at my hands.
Suddenly his hand comes to my chin as he tilts my head up to him.
He leans closer to me, his minty breath fanning my lips.
"You know that, don't you Layla?" He questions huskily.
I look from his lips to his eyes and watch his grey eyes swirl.
I nod my head faintly and he kisses my cheek.
"Good." He finishes and pulls away.
"Come." He says patting his knee.
I lay my head down on his lap and rest my eyes.
I listen to the cars driving by and the soft sound of the wind in the background.
Landons hands was twirling one of my curls as the other one rested on my stomach.
We stayed there for hours, just him and I.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
