After that night, I hadn't heard from Landon.

I cried and was heartbroken for weeks.

That whole week I had called him everyday but never got an answer.

Eliot and Violet looked after me like the true best friends that they were.

I was informed that he was alive, and healthy.

Some have even seen him around New York plenty of times. Andre still hung with him, though he never did mention Landon once.

I'm not sure what happened to Dante, but I haven't seen him around either.

It's been 4 entire months, and I'm still thinking about him.

4 entire months without his touch, his so little words and his presence.

Missing him was one thing, but the love I had for him only grew stronger.

He was my everything.

Though It seems I was not his.

"I hate men." Violet exasperates and flops down on the couch.

"Same." I say and flop down next to her.

"Yeah, me too." Eliot says and then also flops down in between us both.

"Idiot, you cant say that because you are a man." Violet exaggerates.

"So? I can hate my own kind too." Eliot says huffing.

"Y'all got classes today?" I ask them breaking the argument.

"Nope." Eliot says grinning.

"Yeah, I've got two." Violet says sadly.

"Oh yeah, we've got that last one together and with Jordan too." I say remembering our class.

Jordan was one of our new friends, we met him and a couple of others on our first day.

"Yeah I'll call him and we can all go together." Violet says getting up from her seat now.

I nod my head and close my eyes.

College was going pretty well.

Turns out quite a few of the senior year students got into this college.

Andre, Matt and a few others all went to our college.

For the rest of the day I studied and loused around with Eliot.

Violet and I ended up getting a dorm together and Eliot had one with Matt next door, so it all worked out pretty well.

I got ready for class and locked the doors before walking out and finding Violet and Jordan.

They were waiting down the hall so I quickly went over to them.

"Hey guys." I say approaching them.

Jordan pulls me in for a hug and Violet smiles at me.

"You ready?" Jordan asks as he slings an arm over my shoulder.

"Yup." I smile and start walking with them.

We make it to class and take our seats.

"There's a frat party tonight, y'all coming?" Jordan asks us.

"Definitely." I say nodding my head.

"Yeah, I'll tell Eli too." Violet says as she takes her phone out.

Throughout the rest of the class we talked and jotted down notes.

After that, we all headed back to our dorms and got ready for the party.

Around 8 pm Violet drove Eliot and me to the party as Jordan was already there with his friends.

Once we get there we all hop out and walk towards the crowded house.

Eliot took Violet and I's hand as he leads us towards the drinks.

Eliot took out a beer from the fridge and handed Violet and me one as well.

We stood and talked for a while until Matt eventually joined us, as did some other people.

I listened to Jordan rant about something but zoned out as I started looking around the house.

From the distance, I saw Andre standing by himself as he talked on the phone.

Somehow my legs carried me all the way to him.

"Hey, Andre." I greet him just as he gets off the phone.

The smile on his face gets wiped away instantly and his eyes grow wide with shock.

"Layla, what are you doing here?" He asks me clearly in shock.

"Well, what else would I be doing?" I say laughing slightly.

"You can't be here right now." He says in a hushed tone.

I frown at him clearly confused by his mood.

"Why?" I ask him confused.

His eyes go from mine to something behind me in the distance.

I look behind me, though I was too short to see through the crowd of people.

"Layla, I'm warning you now. Please leave." He tells me seeming to be really distressed now.

"Andre, what's wro-

I stop my sentence as my eyes land on someone who left my heart in pieces.

There he stood amongst the crowd, his tall figure hovered over everyone around him.

Just as he was walking towards us, his eyes landed on mine.

His grey eyes were cold and distant as he looked into mine.

He then glanced away from me instantly, as if looking at me was a crime.

He then started walking in a different direction.

What the fuck.

Andre then walked away from me, following Landon as they made their way outside.

I felt my heartbreak all over again though this time I was left completely confused.

I sighed and made my way over to the alcohol section.

I poured myself a drink and drowned it down attempting to forget the pain in my heart that Landon had left.

*

To say I was utterly drunk by the end of the night would be an understatement.

I swayed my way over to the doors that led to outside, needing fresh air.

My focus was hazy and the dark night didn't seem that dark.

I went over to the footpath and sat down crossing my legs underneath me.

I sat there staring off in the distance and only then did I notice the tears that were dripping down my cheeks.

I sniffled and wiped the tears away.

All of a sudden a dark shadow looms over beside me.

I frown and look up from beside me and nearly gasp as I see the exact person I was crying over.

Landon wasn't looking at me, instead, his eyes were strained on the road in front of us.

He had a cigarette in his mouth as he took a drag from it.

His eyes closed as he inhaled and then exhaled the white smoke.

I looked away from him and played with my hands.

Slowly more streaks of tears pooled down my face.

"Why didn't you come back." I whisper out hopelessly.

He didn't move nor say anything.

I looked back up at him only to see him completely tense as he clenched his jaw.

I sighed and wiped my tears but it seemed that they didn't want to stop.

"I called you." I tell him as I look up at him with blurry eyes.

His face stayed emotionless and blank as his eyes never left the road.

I knew he was trying to avoid looking at me.

Because if he did, he would break.

"I think about you every day. As much as I hate it, I can't seem to stop." I admit to him as I feel the tears become stronger.

"You left me heartbroken, Landon. You promised." My voice cracks at the last part and I let out my first sob.

With that, his eyes come down to mine and they widen.

He leant down to me in a swift motion, as his grey eyes that were once cold and distant turned into sorrow.

"Don't." He says wiping my tears, but they kept coming.

"Please don't cry over me, baby." He whispers out, detaching his hands from my face as if it burnt him.

I turned away from him and continued to let the tears come down.

I felt him stand up and though I thought he was going to leave, he didn't.

He grabbed me from under my arms and lifted me up.

Landon then picked me up and carried me bridal style.

I looked up at him through my mascara strained teared face.

Feeling my stare, he looked down at me but then glanced away as he made it to his car.

He opened the passenger door and placed me in, and then went over to his side and got in.

He started driving down the street as I felt my eyes begin to get heavy.

"Layla." He says as we stop at a red light.

I hum in response as I feel myself drifting off.

I open my eyes only to be met with grey ones.

"Soon."

Is all he says before I fall into a deep slumber.
