《Green & Grey ✔︎》Chapter 6

He smiled.
I don't think anyone, not even his friends have seen him smile.
It wasn't a big one but it was there.
And I felt like the luckiest person on earth to have seen him smile.
Once he realised he did, he turned his face back into his normal expressionless one.
I couldn't help but be disappointed but nevertheless, I was happy I got to see it.
After that, we decided to head back to my house.
We got to my house and he opened the car door for me as usual.
We walked to my front door and I turned to face him.
His grey eyes looking down at me emotionlessly.
His black hair effortlessly falling in front of them.
"Thank you for tonight." I said looking down blushing, while recalling everything that happened.
He nodded at me while staring at me intensely.
Feeling in the moment, I smiled softly at him and hugged him.
I can't believe how happy this guy has made me feel without even knowing him for so long.
I opened my arms and wrapped them tightly around his waist.
He went completely tense as if he wasn't used to someone touching him.
But without hesitating, he wrapped his arms around my waist.
I smiled to myself.
His arms felt so amazing on my skin, his body was full of warmth and I could literally fall asleep in his arms.
I was about to let go but he then decided to tighten his hold on me and bury his face in the crook of my neck.
Blushing I snuggled in deeper.
We stayed like that for what felt like hours and then we let go.
He looked down at me with a blank face but his grey eyes were glowing lighter than I have ever seen them before.
He leaned down and kissed my cheek softly and lingering there for a couple of seconds.
He then leaned away from my touch.
"Goodnight Layla" He says huskily.
He looked at me once more before turning and walking back to his car.
I blushed and opened my door looking at him once more before he sped off.
I closed the door and sighed.
Sliding down the door with red cheeks.
"Goodnight Landon" I whispered to myself.

It is now Friday and I am currently sitting in the cafe that Eliot, Violet and I all go to.
They said they would come with me but Eliot had practice after school and Violet was looking after her Grandmother who isn't doing too good.
I haven't seen Landon since Tuesday night much to my disappointment.
His friends weren't here either.
I can't believe that I didn't see him before this.
I really must be oblivious to the world to not see that god of a man.
I had started to get worried but Eliot said that it was normal for them to not be here.
Apparently, they skipped school a lot due to being in the Mafia or something.
Finishing my coffee, I decided to head to the grocery store down the road to get some things since my parents aren't coming home until Tuesday next week, I thought I would restock our kitchen.

Once I get there I look around and grab some eggs, milk and basically the basic needs.
Once I'm done I paid and walked outside to see it was starting to rain slightly.
Shit.
Great, this is what you get for not getting your drivers license.
I put my hood up covering my head and I decided to head to the back streets which is the long way home but there was more shelter so I wouldn't get drenched.
As I was walking through the streets I saw a black SUV driving past me, I watched it turn into a side street which in my opinion looked really creepy.
I decided to ignore it but as I walked closer to the street I saw someone get out of the passenger seat.
Oh shit.
He was wearing normal black jeans, white Nike shoes and a black hoodie.
Even though the hood was up I knew who it was.
He stood high and had the deadliest expression on his face.
He looked really, really, angry.
I thought his normal blank face was scary but nope, not at all.
I literally shiver at the look on his face.
The guy driving the car gets out and stays standing straight against the driver's door.
Three other guys come out of the back seats, and I gasp when I see two bulky looking men dragging another guy into the side street.
The men drag him into the street while Landon is behind them with this hands in his pockets walking confidently with his head held high.
Being curious and apparently fucking stupid I wanted to see what was happening, so I walked near the side street and ducked my head behind the wall.
I held in my breath as I see Landon hovering over the man while the two bulky guys are holding him down.
"Boss, p-please, I-I didn't mean t-to give the-
The man shuts up immediately when Landon pulls out a gun.
I try not to gasp when I see it.
The man pleads and pleads for his life as Landon stares at him blankly with his cold eyes.
Landon squats down to his level and moves the gun to his head.
While staring at the man on the ground his expression never changes from his blank one as he clicks the safety off, the man cries begging him to not end his life.
As quick as lightning, the man goes silent as the trigger was pulled.
Holy fucking shit.
Landon gets up not being affected at all by the man's body pooling with blood beneath him.
Landon nods his head at the two men standing there emotionless like Landon.
They pick up his body and walk towards the other end of the side street.
Landon puts his gun back into his pocket and takes out a lighter and cigarette.
He puts the cigarette between his lips and lights it up.
He inhales the smoke closing his eyes for a second, his shoulders relax as he exhales and opens his eyes as they lock with mine.
My heartbeat quickens.
Layla, you are so stupid.
You need to run now.
His eyes are locked on mine staring deeply into my green ones.

His face is completely blank, not showing me how he was feeling.
My legs don't move an inch.
Jesus, fuck, run Layla.
Why the frick are you not running.
Landon then drops the cigarette on the ground and steps on it without taking his eyes off me.
He slowly walks up to me and my legs aren't moving.
I stare at him with fear, I gulp when I see him standing right in front of me.
He stares at me intensely and then brings his hand up to my face.
Without thinking, I flinch.
His hand stops midway in the air, and for the first time of knowing him, an emotion flashes through his eyes.
Fear.
Just as fast as that emotion came, it went away, returning back to his cold, empty but beautiful eyes.
His hand reaches to touch my cheek cupping, as it fits perfectly in his hand.
He stares at me coldly.
"I would never hurt you, Layla." His deep voice rang through my ears.
I know he wouldn't but I couldn't help it, he scared me at this moment.
It's not every day you see someone kill another person in front of you.
He stares at me still, rubbing his thumb over my cheekbone.
He then moves his hand and steps away.
He turns around and gets in his car.
I sighed and grabbed my bags that are now on the floor and lift them up.
As I'm about to continue walking, Landon rolled down the window and nodded his head for me to get in.
Thankful I get in the car and he starts driving to my place.
The silence in the car is comfortable thankfully because I cannot deal with awkwardness.
As he started to pull up into my driveway, I unbuckled my belt.
He stopped the car and turned his attention to me.
I looked at him and saw him staring at me intensely.
Not being able to handle it, I turned my attention to my hands and noticed I still had the ring on he gave me.
I decided to play with it while it was sitting on my finger.
He brought his hand up to my chin, tilting it up to look at him.
His hair was messy, hovering over his eyes.
His eyes were hooded and they were now a dark grey.
His skin was slightly paler than his normal golden skin most likely from the cold.
His lips were standing out lusciously, cherry red.
His jaw was sharp and sculpted, his cheekbones high as hair was falling down slightly touching it.
His face was blank which made him look impossibly more attractive than he already was.
His cold fingers sat firm but gently on my chin.
I looked down to his full lips and back to his eyes.
His jaw clenched at the action and he retracted his hand from my chin.
He turned back into his seat staring straight at the road blankly, though he looked to be deep in thought.
His demeanour changed as he looked back at me.
"Are you scared of me?" His deep voice asked me with no emotion in it.
His words shocked me.
"No, I'm not." I tell him truthfully, his eyes were still focusing in front of him.
"Why?" He whispered, more directed towards himself then to me.
"I don't know. You make me feel safe." I whispered softly.
His eyes went from the road to me.
His eyes and face held nothing but I could tell he was surprised.
"Good." He said while taking his hand and tracing my jaw while looking at me.
His eyes focusing on my lips and then he licked his bottom lip.
Feeling my self-heat everywhere, I looked down at my hands.
I looked back up at him and saw a small smirk at the edge of his lips.
He then moved his hand away and got out of the car.
I got out of the car but then saw him standing in front of me, looking at me with a glare.
I was confused and then realised what I had done.
I got back in the car and closed the door to make him happy.
He rolled his eyes and then opened the door.
I giggled and stepped out.
I turned to him and looked at the ground feeling his eyes on me.
"Do you want to come inside?" I asked looking anywhere but him.
It went silent so I looked up at him and saw his eyes on me and he had a small smirk on his lips.
He nodded and we started to head inside.
Once inside, he looked around for a brief second then his eyes landed on me.
I shut the door and went to the kitchen while he followed me.
"Do you want a drink?" I asked him.
"No." He said looking at me.
I nodded and poured myself some water, and started putting the groceries away.
"Parents?" He asked looking at me.
"Their job requires a lot of travelling so they're here like once a week." I said to him while taking a sip of my water.
He nods.
My curiosity getting the best of me I ask him a question that I've been dying to know.
"Are you really in the Mafia?" I say softly not wanting to anger him.
His eyes stare into my green ones.
He nods his head once.
"Are you like the leader of it or just a part of one?"
"The leader." His deep voice says.
I nod my head in understanding.
I walk upstairs to my room I turn behind me to see if he's following, to which he is.
My eyes lock on his and before I could get stuck in another trance with his eyes, I turn away and begin walking again.
We make it to my room and sit on my bed, he steps in the room and is about to say something before his phone interrupts him.
He takes it out in one swift move and answers.
He steps out of the room while I bring my laptop to my lap and open it.
A minute goes past and he comes back in.
He looks up at me.
"I have to leave." His deep voice sends shivers down my body.
Quickly recovering my disappointment I nod my head and walk him out.
Getting to the front door he stands in front of me and looks at me with no emotion.
He licks his lips and brings his right arm up signalling for me to hug him.
I smile brightly and wrap my arms around his waist.
His arm wraps around me, his hand running up and down my back.
He leans his head down and kisses my forehead which sends me blushing like a fucking tomato.
I unwrap myself from him and wave at him and smile.
He nods his head once, turns and leaves.
