《Green & Grey ✔︎》Chapter 1

The bell of the cafe doors chime, notifying that someone has walked in.
I look up from my phone and see my two best friends.
Violet Hemmings and Eliot Fanning.
"What's up bitch." Elliot exclaims loudly, while walking over to me.
Violet slaps her hand on her forehead looking down and sighing at his actions.
I laugh at Violet's reaction, while Elliot comes over and sits on the chair next to me, taking my Caramel milkshake and gulping it down like the male he is.
I sit silently glaring at him.
Fucking asswipe
Violet sits down opposite us and also glares at Elliot.
Elliot puts the glass down and 'shivers' at the glares were giving him.
"Damn, I need to start hanging with the guys more you girls are giving me whiplash."
I turn in my seat and smack him hard on his bicep, he leans to the side and groans.
"God, you hit hard for a small human" He mumbles, rubbing his arm.
"Mhm, that's right bitch." I immaturely poke my tongue out at him.
I turn to Violet and see her smiling proudly at me.
Violet and Eliot have been my best friends ever since the start of high school. We've all been through thick and thin together. We've been a clique ever since.
30 minutes later
"Eliot, why did you search up 'funny things to say to a girl?" Violet asks with a disgusted look on her face as she looks down at the phone.
I giggle as Eliot glares at Violet snatching his phone away from her hold, mumbling about how he shouldn't have let Violet use his phone.
As I calm down from laughing I start to look around the cafe randomly while Eliot and Violet bicker.
My eyes scan over the place thinking of all the memories I've had with my friends here.
The bell chimes indicating someone has entered the store.
I turn my eyes towards the door and see three guys walk in.
Three good looking guys.
Though they look intimidating as hell.
My eyes scan the first boy who walked in, he looked familiar. He has light olive skin, fluffy dark brown hair and brown eyes, he is definitely above 6ft tall. It was then I realised that he was from my English class.
The second boy I didn't recognise, he had deep brown messy hair with piercing blue eyes, he had light skin and looked scarier than the first boy. His jaw was clenched and looked as if he wanted to hit someone for stealing his chocolate muffin. He was also very tall probably the same height as the first boy.

My eyes then move towards the last boy and my breath hitches.
He is fucking gorgeous.
He has light golden skin, with perfectly shaped eyebrows and long lashes that I could only envy for.
Rich deep black hair that is the signature type of 'bed head' messy but it looked perfectly natural on him.
He had high defined cheekbones along with a perfectly sculpted jaw that was now clenched.
And my oh my, his perfect plump lips.
My gaze goes to his eyes. His eyes are the best part. I have never in my whole life seen such beautiful eyes.
They are an illuminating glowing .
I stare at his eyes longer they are completely emotionless, not one single emotion could be found in them.
I then realise that I had been staring, when I'm about to turn my gaze away from the beautiful boy his gaze goes from the counter to my own green eyes.
His eyes land on mine, and suddenly I feel like I'm in a trance with them.
We stay there looking at each other for what felt like hours until he then breaks the eye contact and turns towards the table his friends are on and walks over.
I turn my attention back to my friends and realise they are staring at me weirdly.
"Lay, did you just have eye sex." Eliot blurts out.
Violet starts laughing and my cheeks stupidly turn red.
I turn my head towards the window, pretending to be looking outside.
"You do know who that is right?" Violet says looking at me.
"Um no, I don't actually. The brown-eyed one is from my English class though" I mention.
Violet looks at me and so does Eliot.
What? Are these guys like Gods or something.
Well I mean I won't be surprised if they are, I mean look at them.
"Girl, that's Andre Reynolds" Violet says mentioning the name of the guy from my English class
"Yeah and the blue-eyed one is Dante Rodrigo," Eliot says while picking up his fries and throwing them in his mouth.
"Who's the black-haired boy?" I ask as I became curious.
"Ah yes, your eye-sex buddy. Well my dear, that is the one and only Landon Angelo Malik" Eliot says.
"And I'm supposed to know who these guys are?" I say looking at them both.

Violet shakes her head and Eliot laughs.
"Man you live under a rock." Eliot says still laughing.
"At least I'm not gossip freaks like you guys are, I like to pay attention to anything but that"
"Anyways who are they?" I ask eagerly.
"Well, those three boys are known as the so-called 'bad boys' of our school, love. I don't know how you can go to this school for years and not know who's who." Violet says.
"Okay so they're rumoured for being part of a gang or a mafia, and Landon, the guy your eye-sexing is the so-called leader of it all." Eliot tells me.
"He's known for being ruthless and cold to anyone who's not his friends. He also doesn't talk very much, mutters a few words if you're lucky. This girl asked him for a pencil one time during Math and he just glared at her, poor girl must have shat herself" Eliot says glancing at the group and shivers before looking back to me.
Lovely.
I don't know why but I felt this weird pull towards him. An unforbidden urge to know more about him and see the truth behind the rumours.
Layla, you just made eye contact with him and you want to know more about him i-
Oh shut up stupid ass brain.
"Just be careful Lay, I don't want you getting into trouble, but I also want you to go out there and have fun but when it comes to your safety, I gotta go all big brother on you." Eliot says looking at me sternly.
Violet shakes her head agreeing with him as she sips her coffee.
I sigh knowing that there wasn't a chance he would talk to me anyway.
"Okay, changing the topic do you guys want a lift to school tomorrow?" Violet says looking at both of us.
Weirdly enough, Eliot and I live on the same street he just lives a couple of houses down from mine.
Violet doesn't live too far from us, she lives closer to the school than we do though.
"Yeah Eliot and I will get a lift, were going to grab a coffee on our way though, I don't think I can make it through the day without caffeine in my system." I say.
"Coffee addiction at its finest right here kiddos," Eliot says standing up towering over me as he points a finger down at me.
I slap his hand away, standing as well and so does Violet.
We walk to the counter to pay though Eliot being the gentleman he is, pays for Violet and me.
"I won't need a ride home though, I have practice after school so I'll get one of the guys to take me home." Eliot says looking at Violet then turns to the lady to get his card back.
Violet nods her head and I turn to her whispering something in her ear while looking at Eliot, who is now very curious and confused.
Violet laughs and I do too. I laugh more because I see Eliot's horrified face, which soon becomes into a smirk and mischievous look.
He turns his body facing me fully and Violet's face turned into worry as she starts to walk out while I'm becoming confused and curious as to what he was going to do.
Before I knew it Eliot yells in the coffee store.
"Oh my god! what the fuck Layla you have an STD." Eliot puts on a disgusted face and begins to walk away from me and towards the door where Violet is now walking out embarrassed.
I am standing there in shock with my hand over my mouth.
That little fucker.
I turn to see if anyone heard, well of course they did he practically shouted it.
I see an older lady looking at me with a disgusted look, and for some reason, I turn towards the table with the three mysterious boys and unfortunately for me the three of them are looking directly at me.
I catch sight of the beautiful grey eyes and quickly look away and begin fast walking towards the door.
Once I'm out I let out the biggest scream of frustration and begin running towards my friends to which they run away from me laughing.

The Song of Souls
WARNING TO MY USUAL READERS: This is not my usual style of story. I've decided to turn this into an anthology of short one-shot stories, that are very atypical of my usual stories or style. Some will be horror, others romance, and others just stupid silly ideas I have. Basically, a collection of shorts I write when I need a break from my usual writing style. I'll include a summary at the start of each "chapter" telling you what to expect. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE SUMMARY! The content and quality of each story will probably vary wildly. (One is even a horror romance featuring an eldritch horror. I promise it's weirder than it sounds.) If you do want to check out my usual writing, be sure to take a gander at my ongoing series, Of Men and Dragons. It's a bit of a long haul at this point, but hopefully it's worth the read!
