Epilogue
A beautiful young lady in the eyes of her dear husband shakily walked over to her ill husband holding his hand into hers. He lazily smiled at his wife yawning with an animalistic growl making his wife giggle at his display of manliness. Even at an old age her husband seem to always think he was still in his prime. In her eyes he always will be.
"Mariah" he croaked wheezing painfully, the 80 year old Mariah steadily sat him up kissing her husbands forehead tenderly. They both held onto one another hands staring in one another's eyes. "I love you" he whispered.
"Lay down. You're tired honey" she told her husband lovingly, he laid back looking at his wife's face. Even at the age of 80 his wife was still the beauty in his eyes. No women could even posses such beauty that his wife held. Age didn't bother him, in his eyes his wife was the youngest she wolf he ever came across. She still held the spitfire and determination.
A knock broke both out of their trance. They looked at their daughter, who held her very own granddaughter in her arms.
"Is that my Aretha" James called out, looking down at his great grandchild. Alina proudly brought her granddaughter to her elderly parents who looked adoringly at their great granddaughter. The new addition to the family.
James and Mariah had 5 grandchildren, 3 from Matt and 2 from Alina. Now that their grandchildren all grew up they all had family of their own.
Sam, Alinas eldest son and the alpha had 2 children and the future alpha called Sean. Aretha was also Sams, he deicded to call the only girl great grandchild that his grandparents have, Aretha becuase he knew the legacy of his grandfathers mate.
Alinas second son called James was like his grandfather the charmer, the trouble maker of the pack. But his grandparents adored him regardless of despite his fanatics, but after young James had his son, Dominic and found his mate he became like his grandfather, loyal and loving. Mariah and James themselves adored their grandson James, they always had a soft spot for him.
Then their was their little boy Matt who tunred into a tremendous young man who had 3 children, the terrible twins and the angelic Princess Miah. Miah was also a proud mother of twin boys.
"Dad would you like to come down for the barbecue?" Alina asked looking at her father hopefull. For 6 years her dad had been bed ridden from his old age, he hardly had the strngth to come down. Those 6 years were hard for them because their father was to sick to ever make it to dinner with them, make it to pack meetings or even visit them. His grandchildren and children aided James, they took care of him. But his wife had done the most, made sure he still had his spirit he always had. She kept him alive.
"Yes" James answered, shocking both his dad and wife.
"Are you sure honey" Mariah asked worriedly to her husband, who just planted a kiss on her lips. Mariah blushed while Alina smiled at her parents, if she was younger she would have gotten embarrassed, but her parents affection was far form embarrassing in reality it was breathtaking to watch elderly couple still posses the love they have for on another. Even at an old age they were like young teens in love. She hoped her and Lucas could be like that when then grew old together.
"Uncle is going to be there to dad" Alina told her father, who smiled Widely hearing that his younger brother was here.

Alina was 34 when she had fianlly relaised the Adam had been her bioligcal father and her muns mate, howvere her mum wasnt aware kf that, due to the amnesia, but this amnesia was different since she only lost the memory of the negative part of her life. Alina had told Adam that she knew but liked the way it was him being her uncle. She knew it had pained him but he had allowed it, till this day her uncle would look at her like his.
.......
"Grandpa" James walked over to his crippling grandfather assiting him to sit on a chair. "How you feeling you old geezer" he joked.
"Dying son" he answered with a laugh, but James didn't miss the a the twinkle in his eyes or the sadness radiating from his pale face. "Now where is my brother" he told his grandson who called out to his great uncle. "Oh their you are my dear brother" Adam bent down slowly and hugged his ill brother.
He stared at his brother, how much they grew up, both so old now. He looked at his past how things have changed. After the death of their parents due to old age they grew much closer. Adam still at such an old age depended on his brother regardless of his brothers health. Adam still confided with his older brother, needing his brother the most.
"Adam" a sweet voice spoke behind him making him smile and look at Mariah who smiled at her brother in law. Mariah sat beside James making Adam frown, he was happy for both of them but even after years his heart was always with her. James gently touched his brother arm understanding that things going through his head was painful for his younger brother to comprehend or even handle.
.....
Mariah weeped in her dream making her husband turn squeezing his eyes when he felt his heart jerk in pain, he shook his love gently. This cretaed her to whimper further in her dream.
"Love you need to wake up its just a nightmare" he sagged holding her in his frail arms, she clutched onto him just like she had done when he first met her. Her face held innocence just like the day he met her, the 18 year old he made love to taking her as his.
She jerked up staring at his face. "I'm scared" she whispered. He tunred to her confused etched on his face. "I now know" she whispered he looked at his wife still unsure what she was saying.
"What do you mean?" he asked worriedly, taking her frail hands into his.
"Shes not yours is she?" she whispered gently with sadness. James stayed silent. Mariah took that as an answer, Adam was her mate, the father of her daughter. "I know what I did to your dad . What happened to Aretha your dad and my Alina" she croaked out "my rape" she sobbed clutching to her ill husband.
"But how?" he asked her unsure why the events of her past had come back to haunt her now. Why after all theses years. When she was happy and content.
"I dont know James" this time she called out to him. It was like she was the young Mariah who was seeking for reassurance and guidance from him. For so long it was Mariah who had aided him, protected him and cared for him held him into her arms, but now the tables were tunred. It brought back memory's of his own making his eyes burn with unshed tears. "It was like it was time to know" she told him. "it felt so real" she sobbed looking petrified. James hugged his wife tightly sighing why did she have ti relive the moment again. His heart clenched not knowing how she must have felt, how scared and aline she felt.

"You lost yor memory and never did i ever want you to know that. You knew us but it seemed like your dark past was erased. You forgave your mum, brother and saddnened by your sisters death." He looked at her face hugging her tightly once again.
"She died after my accident James. It's like she blamed herslef for my accident. I forgive her for her wrong doing James. Why am i forgiving them after everything?" Mariah felt guilty. She felt that because of her Jesse had committed suicide. When mariah had woken up she had to find out that her sister had committed suicide 7 years ago after her coma. Mariah felt like she was to blame for her sisters death, it had been eating her up alive, tormented her brother and mother.
"Thats your nature. You forgave your brother because he was family and your mum becuase she was hurt. I knew even if you remembered the past you would still forgive them thats why i didn't want to keep them from you. I didn't want you to question, that's why I kept then away from you."
"How did she die James?"
"She hung her self" he whispered, more tears burned her eyes. "After losing her baby she thought of you, she came to me" he told her sadly "I told her that she was a nasty peice of work. That she hurt you so bad, you were meant to be family, look after one another" he looked at his wife with regret. "If i hadn't been nasty and taken her sincere apology she would be alive. I made her feel so guilty that she felt taking her life after losing her child and possibly losing you was a better option. She took the cowards way out its not your fault" he teared up letting his wife know what he had jept form everyone. the last converstaion that Jesse had with anyone beifre taking hr life.
"It never was your fault. Just like you said she took the cowards way out. But god I miss her." Mariah felt James arm tighten around her thin body, she smiled weakly at the his touch Even after so many years he could still affect her. "Everything happens for a reason. We were meant to spend our lives together"
Mariah laid her husband back onto the mattress kissing her husband tenderly on the lips. "I love you" she told him lovingly.
"I love you my mate" he whispered making her hug her husband tightly.
Both held onto each other clutching like it was their last breath.
.........
Alina enetred her parents room. "Wakeup sunshine" she sang walking over to her parents.
However Alina got no response, making her frown. She sang loudly giggling at her immature behaviour, but again she frowned realising her father isn't telling her off for her bad singing.
Alina nudged her mum lightly, Alina drew the cover gasping and screaming out painfully, as her heart squeezed at what she just discovered. Her parents lay their not breathing, their pale face made her sob louder as they lay holding onto one another with a smile in their faces.
Alina held in a sob but dropped into the floor with a large thud Screaming agonisingly finding it hard to breathe.
James ran as fast he could as heard his mother terrifying cries and the loud thud. He thought the worse as he sprinted towards his grandparents room where he heard his mother cries. The other pack members looked worriedly at James. But his face paled when he came closer to the room afraid of what he might see.
James saw his mother on a heap on the floor crying hysterically, never has ever heard such a cry before form his mother before. He picked his mum up from the floor, putting her down into the arm chair, his mothers sobs grew painful. He turned to his grandparents, James softly reached out to his grandmothers hand that lay on top of her husbands heart. James eyes began to burn with tears when he felt no pulse or even the beat of his grandfathers heart. James leaned over and giving a final kiss on his grandparents forehead. He pulled the cover over their angelic faces but not before making a prayer.
"Their gone mum" he whispered to his mum, as he choked in his own words. They were so hard to believe. Alina cried out painfully shaking with grief. "they were happy mum" he reassured.
James looked at the two body who lay together under the duvet. The old geezer knew his time was up he thought sadly. He did realise that his granddad had acted strangely, especially when he decided to join them in their barbercue. He had gone round and told his loved ones how much he loved them and before retreating back to his room he had made an emotional speech tearing up every warrior, man, women, teenagers that attended the barbecue.
"Love you" came a strain voice from Alina that shook with agonising sadness. She knew about the hardship her mother faced. Rejection, rape, abuse. Fear is what her mother had gone through. Sh knew the sacrifices her mum made for her, but those sacrifices had renewed her as a new soul.
Alina knew her mum had died happy, in the arm of a man that her future depended on.
James. Her father.
So thats the end of 'You wish you knew me now'. Thanks for those who still stayed and read even with my late updates. Thanks for the support and lovely comments. Over the period of writing this book i have seen the improvement of my writing, but I thank you guys for giving me the confidence and being critical when needed to be.
To those who were team Adam, i never intended Adam and Mariah ever getting back together since there was too much pain for both of them. I felt that James was her true love regardless of all the 'mate' business.
There will be no sequel to this story as I love the ending. I hope Jesses death shocked many of you guys, no one can be that strong one way or another people will fall. I know there was no real happiness for Adam even though he had a family of his own but he learnt to live with his mistake.
And a special thanks to set fire to the rain by Adele since that had been the only song on repeat while i wrote this book.
Thank you guys so much once again for supporting me. Thank you! Thank you!
If you would like me to answer any questions don't hesitate to ask thank you so much once again.
