Mia POV:

The helicopter ride was amazing, it was like a dream. Apparently Benny, has his pilots license too but just got a pilot since he was staying in the city and the helicopter needed to be returned to the Hamptons for his parents and siblings. We landed on a helipad on top of Benny's penthouse. Benny then drove us home and we made it by 5pm on the dot. Impressive.

I asked Benny to stay for dinner which to my surprise Ethan begged him too, but he denied us. I was kinda surprised. But then the next day after I dropped Ethan off he invited me for lunch. I had nothing else to do until I picked Ethan up so I accepted. He picked me up in of course an Aston Martin. It was sleek and gorgeous. We drove for a good 45minutes until we ended up in an adorable bistro overlooking the Hudson.

When we sat down he looked serious. No smirk or shy smile, "what's going on?" He took a deep breath. "My mother told me what she said to you?" I waited for him to speak more. "I apologize if I came on too strong. That was not my intention. I don't want to scare you away. I understand you have a past and a child and want to take it slow. I told you, I respect that." Is he scared he scared me away?

I reached out and held his hand. "You didn't scare me away." Suddenly the tension left his body. "You sure? I didn't realize I was coming in so strong, but then my mom said you seemed freaked out when you guys talked." I couldn't help but giggle. He seemed unsure of what that meant. So I explained. "You didn't scare me away. I scared myself. You got some time? Or are you in a rush to get back to work?" He smiled. "I have all the time in the world for you, I cleared the rest of my day. I'm all yours." I could hear the double meaning.

"Well, then I think it's time I told you my life story, it's not very exciting." He just smiled. "I'd love to hear it." I told him all about when my parents passed away and then college and how I met Nathan, I even got too honest telling him how I was a virgin and have only been with one man. I then went on about the break up when I told Nathan followed by the contract with his parents that I should never have agreed to, but I was a 21 year old with no parents to guide me the right way. I told him all about David and when Jack came into our lives. I talked about my job and my amazing boss who is like a father to me. It was a lot, but he just sat there listening intently. I even told him about the 5 horrible dates I had in all those years after I had Ethan.

"So, that's all of it. I'm kind of pathetic, huh?" He shook his head then the next thing I knew he was out of his chair and in front of me. He placed his hands on my cheeks and then he was kissing me, tenderly at first and then it got heated. Finally we heard someone clear their throat and it sounded like he grunted and then pulled away. He sat back down just starting at me with adoration, love, and something else I can't put my finger on.

"So, you going to say anything. Not that the kiss wasn't amazing." He just smiled shaking his head. Then he looked up into my eyes and simply said "you're the one." I looked at him a little confused. "The one?" He just nodded. "The one I've been patiently waiting for and I'd keep waiting a lifetime for you." I couldn't help but blush. "Okay I feel like you owe me something, so I'd not feel pathetic about my life." He shook his head again.

"You my love, are the farthest thing from pathetic. You're intelligent, gorgeous, loving, caring, amazing is so many ways. Want me to tell you something people would think make me pathetic?" I was flattered and shocked so I just nodded. "I've been waiting for you in every way possible. I know my mom told you I never had a girlfriend. It's true. I've been saving myself for the right woman, the love of my life. And I mean truly saving myself." I just nodded but not sure what he meant. Never having a girlfriend until he met the right girl. "You don't understand what I'm saying do you?" I just kinda shrugged. He sighed. "I'm a virgin. A 32 year old CEO billionaire virgin." My jaw dropped.

"That's not possible. I mean look at you. Your gorgeous. Like just came off the cover of GQ hot." He just smiled. "We'll, thank you for the compliment." I couldn't wrap my head around what he is saying, "why?" He stated at me. "Why am I a virgin? It you thinks it because I have a small...." But I held up my hand to stop him. I saw him in a bathing suit. There is nothing small about him, "no, why me? Im obviously not, I'm a single mom. Far from a virgin."

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "You are way too hard on yourself. You don't see what everyone else does. So what if you are a mom. You've been with one man in the 27 years you've lived. You thought you loved him and that he loved you. But, I think you're like my father. He made a mistake loving my birth mother. He was blinded until he found the real love of his life. But like he always told me, look what he gained out of that mistake. Three kids he loves with all of his heart. And look at what you got out of that heart ache, someone who will always have your heart. Your son."

I practically had tears about to run down my face. How can this amazing man be real? How can he look at me and see this amazing perfect woman for him. But maybe he is right, I really thought I loved Nathan and Vice versa. But when I look back at our relationship, was it really as perfect as I thought? I was young, only 19 when I met him. My parents passed away just under two years prior and then I had this big shot on campus want me. What did we really have in common? I was all about studying and school and he just wanted to party. He got me out of my shell and made me feel beautiful but was it really love? If it was, he would have never dumped me. He would have never been so cruel and left me to raise my kid alone knowing my only family alive was out of state. Knowing I had no parents to support me.

I blinked away my tears. "I think I may be falling in love with you." He gave me the biggest smile ever, he slapped a few hundreds on the table, got up and pulled me out of the restaurant. Once we got into his car he turned to me and gave me the most passionate kiss of my life, "I promise. I will always love you and Ethan. I'm going to make you both the happiest you can be. I will always love you. Just let me." All I could do is nod.

As we head back to my place I realized I had to pick Ethan up soon, even though this was all crazy I wanted Benny to come pick Ethan up with me. We dropped his car off at my place and took my Tesla. "Are you sure about this. I didn't say what I said to rush you, I told you, we can take our time. We don't need to rush anything." I just smiled. "What are we waiting for exactly? I've waited 6 years to find someone who made me happy. For someone who I truly could trust and care for. Why wait more?" He leaned over and kissed me. It was a sweet short kiss.

As they brought the kids out Ethan came running to the car and we he saw Benny he hugged him first. "Benny, you came to pick me up too? I never had a dad who showed up to pick me up from school. This is the best first day of school ever!" I was shocked but hid it with a smile. Benny looked at me for permission and I nodded as he scooped my son up and helped him into his car seat.

On the way back home Ethan was talking a mile a minute about his new friends and his teacher and all the stuff they did. He didn't stop talking until we got inside the house and I asked him to go change out of his uniform. "Be right back Benny, please don't leave." Then he wrapped his arms around Benny and ran off.

"Wow, I'm sorry. I didn't expect him to react that way with you coming with me." He just smiled that amazing smile. "Can I be honest? I'm stoked he would be excited to let me be his dad. I'm sorry if that's too much." I bit my lip. "It's not, I mean. He's never had a dad. He has two uncles and his nanny who's like his best friend. But never someone he wanted to call dad." I took a deep breath. "Just... please don't break his heart. Even if you didn't want me anymore, don't hurt him. I just couldn't deal...."

He stopped me with a hug and kiss. "Love, I'm not going anywhere. Ever. Nothing will scare me away."
