《The Good Nurse ✔️》Heartbeat

10 months later.
Becky was sat in the staff room scrolling her phone.
She stopped at a photo of Jack celebrating a goal.
Yes!!! Finally back for a full 90 and back on the scoresheet! ⚽❤️😄
Becky left a comment
You better be taking it easy!
The red dot of a DM popped up in the corner.
I'm being careful, maybe you need to come and check my obs tho?
Becky laughed. They had been exchanging messages since Jack left hospital.
Depending on the time, and if either of them had been drinking the messages were at times a bit flirty.
Other times the messages were like things you'd send a lifelong friend.
It had started to feel like Becky had a new best friend that lived in her phone with the constant messages and photos they sent each other.
Jack sending a picture of a new kettle, proud to be a 'real grown up'.
Becky sending him photos of her cat being a dick.
Jack sending photos of him and John at the game John had gone to after he had finally left hospital.
Becky sending him photos of her new car, excited because it had a DAB radio.
Jack sending her pictures of the 'NHS swear box' they had put in the changing rooms.
Becky sending photos of crocs and Birkenstock rubber shoes asking if either were remotely sexy.
Jack sending regular updates of his chest as the wound healed.
Becky sending full length pictures of her ready to go on a rare night out.
Jack sending sweaty selfies of himself after gym or training sessions.
Becky sending sleepy selfies after 12 hour shifts.
After Jack had left the hospital he had a huge luxury hamper sent to the staff that kitted the staffroom out with tasty treats for months.
He had also donated ten iPads to the ward, to be used by patients as they wanted.
Liam burst into the staffroom.
"So your birthday, I've got me, Tim, Sue, Kirsty and Martina on board, along with the normal riffraff from downstairs"
Becky smiled, the riffraff downstairs was their ex A&E colleagues.
"Excellent, where are we going?"
"That babes is your surprise, but dress glam!"
Liam clocked her phone.
"Jack again?"
She gave him a sideways look "yeah"
"Has he asked you out again?"
"Nooo, but last time I think I made it clear enough that he won't ask again. He's not called me since then, just messages"

"But constant messages! Honestly you message more than me and Tim and we are in a relationship!"
"Liam, even if it was ok -"
" - which it would be, enough time has passed and there's obviously some kind of connection"
"We are too different! I'm an overworked, underpaid nurse and he's a fucking footballer.......Liam it's a different world. There's no place in his world for a nurse exhausted from twelve hour shifts"
"I don't think that's for you to decide Becks......he obviously wants you, honestly Becks you've no idea how much he likes you!"
"What and you do?? Liam, have you been talking to him?"
"Nooo"
"Don't lie! You've not seen him since the day before he left here so how the fuck would you know anything about how much he likes me?"
Liam looked guilty. "I've stayed in touch with him too, nothing like you, but he does occasionally ask how you are"
"Oh great you talk about me?! Go on then what do you say?"
"The truth! That you're good, working too hard, as always"
"I've got to get back to work"

2 weeks later.
Saturday.
The taxi pulls up outside chinawhite.
Liam led them to the VIP line and Becky was amazed when he spoke to the doorman, who checked his list then waved them through.
"Are you kidding me?" Becky asked him.
"Nothing that can't be arranged with a few phonecalls babes!"
They were led to a plush booth, the table was already heaving with bottles of champagne and glasses. "Oh my god! Thank you!" Becky hugged Liam.
"You are worth it all!" He grinned. "now, we dancing?" He grinned at her.
"We're dancing!" She replied her face aching from grinning so widely.
They both necked back a glass of bubbly each before making their way to the dancefloor.
The pre drinks had hit Becky now, the alcohol was diluting her senses, making it easy to move to the music, enjoying the feel of the beat traveling through her body.
She didn't do this nearly enough.
As she danced and allowed Liam to twirl her around, both laughing she had no idea she was being watched.
But she was being watched.
She felt a tapping on her shoulder and spun around to a bouncer standing behind her.
"Miss Hayes?" He leant to her ear "your party has been moved to to our exclusive VIP bar"

"What? Why?" Becky was confused.
"Courtesy of Mr Grealish"
Becky's breath caught in her chest. Instinctively she looked up.
She saw him, leaning over the 3rd floor balcony looking like an actual fucking god and he couldn't take his eyes off her.
Becky walked through the crowd to the stairs in a dreamlike state.
She suspected that this wasn't chance.
She suspected Liam had been in touch with Jack, that it was always the intention that Jack would be here.
Her legs were just carrying her. She reached the top of the final staircase and a bouncer let her past.
Jack had moved away from the balcony.
He was standing near an empty booth.
He was wearing ripped jeans and trainers, because of course he could wear whatever he wanted, who would stop him when he could easily pay the entire bar tab no quibbles. He had a black t-shirt on. His hair was slicked back, and his face, fucking hell his face.
Becky was literally two foot away from him now.
Her hair loose around her shoulders, wearing a short ruched black stain dress with spaghetti straps and silver high heeled sandals she stopped in front of him.
Neither of them spoke a word.
But Jacks eyes, deep and dark, his mouth slightly parted told her he had been waiting for this moment.
She had been waiting for this moment and right now she couldn't care less if it had been engineered by Jack and Liam or if it was a trail of little coincidences that had led her here.
Becky stepped forward and placed her hand on Jack's cheek. He leaned into her palm, sending shockwaves down her arm and straight down to between her legs.
Time stopped.
He placed a hand on her waist.
His eyes flicked from her eyes to her mouth.
Shit.
Butterflies in her tummy fluttured like mad.
Her eyes closed at the deep twinge she felt within her knickers.
Shit.
His head bent down to her.
She leaned up to him.
One hand still on his cheek she placed her other at his chest.
He flexed his long fingers around her waist.
He brought his other hand to her head, to her hair.
They moved closer.
His torso hit against her first.
The tiniest of whimpers escaped her mouth as his hand grabbed at her hair and he brought his lips to meet hers.
At the moment his mouth crashed against hers she knew that whatever happened now her life would never be the same, forever more her life would be defined as before this kiss and after.
He was gentle, but firm. Forceful, but tender.
Soft, but soul destroying.
It took all of approximately seven seconds before her lips parted and his tongue found hers.
She pulled his hair, finally she was able to lose her fingers in his hair, caress the soft short hair at the back of his neck.
He placed a hand at the curve of the small of her back pulling her to him.
She groaned into his mouth, shamelessly she slid a hand underneath his top, running up his smooth warm defined back...
The hand he had in her hair pushed her face to him even more.
Desperate.
Desperate was the only word to describe them now.
She reached down and squeezed his firm arse through his jeans.
He bit at her bottom lip as his hips bucked to her and she loved it, Becky allowed her legs to part slightly and Jack pushed his thigh between between hers.
His arm around her waist all but holding her up now.
Because she was fucked.
And there was no way she wasn't ending this night naked with him.
She pulled him to her and felt his hardness straining against his jeans.
She had never felt like this from a kiss, he knew what he was doing and the way his tongue moved within her mouth made her want to push him to his knees and bring his head between her legs there and then......
The way his fingers clawed at her.......she needed more....
He pulled back slightly, his breath hot against her cheek. Becky knew he was struggling to keep this public friendly as much as she was.
She was kissing his neck now, his mouth was at her ear, suckling at her earlobe, the sensation sending shivers down her spine.
Her heartbeat was ridiculously fast, matching how ridiculously turned on she was.
She pulled away to look at him.
He was wrecked.
He swallowed, panting slightly.
She reached a hand to his chest, feeling his heartbeat. It was just as fast as hers.
She took his hand and placed it over her chest so he could feel her heartbeat too.
"Fuuuuck" Jack muttered, the first word either of them had spoken.
"Yes please....." She traced a finger down his cheek. Before breaking into the most beautiful smile Jack had ever seen in his life.

An entire sea of ink could not adequately describe my feelings towards him. It was almost as if all the stars in the sky were condensed into a single, twinkling one.
