"You what?!" Savannah shrieks with happiness through the phone.

"After Rian and I left the club, we went back to his flat and he started telling me how important I am to him, and that I'm all that he cares about besides his career. Rian means a lot to me, too, so I expressed how I felt and we ended up starting 2016—," I explain, and Savannah gasps.

"Oh, my God! Alex, how was it?" She asks, dying to know more details about our night.

"It was fine, Vannah." I say, trying to hold my contentment inside.

"Oh, I bet it was more than fine." Savannah says in a perverted voice, and I can imagine her wiggling her eyebrows.

There's a brief silence between us, and I can hear her trying to suppress a laugh, and I break out in hysterical giggles.

"Okay, okay, it was perfect!" I squeal, and she does the same.

"I bet it was! Was it romantic?" She asks, and I laugh some more.

"It was romantic, and it was sweaty, and it was kind of adorably awkward in a way. It's just—, too good to explain." I say, sighing of bliss as I plop on the couch.

"I'm really happy for you, Alex. Rian seems like a really good guy, and y'know he won't—,"

"He won't hurt me like Austin did, I know." I say, gritting my teeth.

"Sorry." She says quickly.

"No, no, no, it's fine. He means nothing to me now, Rian's does."

"Good, you finally have your happiness now." Savannah replies, and I can sense her smile.

Her charming smile would cause her eyes look greener than usual, like a box full of the finest emerald jewels. Her smile could almost be blinding, because how bright it is, and it makes you want to smile, too. Savannah and I talk for a few more minutes before I hear the sound of footsteps approaching.

"Vannah, I'll talk to you later. I gotta go, bye!" I say quickly, and I hang up.

I see Rian enter the living room with Bruno walking beside him.

"Girl talk, huh?" Rian asks, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Yeah, it was just girl talk." I reply a little too incredulously, and Rian gives me a playful grin.

"This girl talk was about me, wasn't it?" He asks, amusement in his voice.

He crosses his arms and flashes his teeth at me, and I decide to mirror him. He then lets out a small chuckle once he realizes that I'm mocking him.

"Maybe, maybe not." I say teasingly.

"Oh, come on Alex. Can't I just get one teensy detail?" He asks, making puppy dog eyes at me, followed by a pout.

A smile spreads across my face at how adorable his facial expression is, and how his voice sounds when he begs.

"You're smart enough to put the pieces together without even having to ask, Rian." I say, and I give him a small kiss on his cheek.

Rian lets out a loud laugh, and he pulls my waist closer so that I'm pressed against him. I wrap my hands around the nape of his neck as he smiles at me, and I smile up at him.

"Have I ever told you that I have a thing for tall girls, Alexandrianna?" He says, and I laugh.

"No, really?" I reply sarcastically, and his dimples get deeper.

"It's true, Alex. Those long legs hypnotize me just like your eyes do." He says, and all of a sudden lifts me off of the ground.

I wrap my legs around his waist, and I smile before pressing my mouth against his. A laugh bubbles in my throat, and I smile against his lips.

"I love you." he whispers.

"I love you, too." I reply, and he kisses me again.

A shiver runs through my spine whenever we say that to each other, and it's an enjoyable one. He sets me down on the ground again, still holding my waist.

"That night meant a lot to me, Alex. I wouldn't have spent it with anyone else." He says, looking me directly in the eyes.

"I agree, Rian. It meant so much to finally get close again and be able to love you like you deserve."

"You deserved to be loved, and now you have it. If you need reassurance, I'm not going to hurt you, and I'll remind you everyday until you're sure again. Okay?" Rian asks, holding my hand.

"Okay." I smile, and he kisses my forehead.

"I'll see you when I get home from work, okay?"

"I'm not going anywhere." I reply with a wink.

Rian kisses me again, and says goodbye to Bruno and I before walking out of the door. I sit on the couch, and all of the things that've happened over the past couple of months roam my mind, and my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. My phone brings me out of my daze, and I pick it up to answer.

"Hello?" I sing, and I hear Xiu laughing.

"It's me," she sings back, and we both cackle loudly before regaining our composure.

"Hey Xiu, what's up?"

"Us three should have a sleepover again before we have to go back to school." Xiu says animatedly, and I nod in agreement.

"Yeah, we should. I definitely need to spill to my besties." I say, thinking about my amazing night on New Years.

"When should we come over?" She asks.

"I don't really care what time you come over, just come." I reply insouciantly.

"Okay, Vannah and I will be over soon!" She says, practical bubbling with excitement.

"Okay, I'll see you soon." I say and I hang up.

I play with Bruno while I wait for Xiu and Savannah to get here, and I'm really anxious to tell Xiu what happened between Rian and I. Once the doorbell rings, I spring up from the couch and sprint over to the door. I see Xiu and Savannah, and they both hold a bunch of DVDs.

"We're watching nothing but scary movies tonight!" Savannah cheers, and I smile as they walk inside.

Later on, Savannah sits on the couch while French braiding my hair, and Xiu is painting my nails. We're all complaining about trivial things that won't even matter in a couple of weeks, and gossiping about so many topics that it's difficult to keep track.

"Okay, so what happened on New Years?" Xiu asks inquisitively.

"Savannah didn't tell you?" I say in surprise.

"I wanted it to be a surprise for Xiu." Savannah says with a laugh, and I smile at the expression on Xiu's face.

"Tell me, tell me, tell me!" Xiu demands excitedly.

"They fucked." Savannah says blatantly.

"I thought you weren't gonna tell me, Vannah!" Xiu exclaims and glares at her.

I try to suppress a laugh, and it eventually comes out in hysterics.

"They definitely started the new year off with a bang." Xiu says with a perverted look on her face, and my laughing intensifies.

"Yes, yes, Rian and I did. It was great and really settling to know that he truly loves me even though we haven't been together for that long. This morning before he went to the hospital he told me that he loves me and that he'll remind me everyday that he won't hurt me that I have no reason to worry when I'm with him. I really do love him, more than I've ever really loved anyone." I say, thinking about it.

"I'm really glad that you have true love, you deserve it." Xiu says, giving me a smile.

"Now, onto the important details. How big was he?"

"What?!" Xiu and I say in unison, turning around to look at her.

"What I just want to know! Are we talking four inches, or more than that?" She asks, and I shake my head and laugh.

"It doesn't matter what size he is, I'd love him even if he was small." I say matter of factly, and Xiu nods.

"So he's big! You said even if he was small, so that implies that he isn't." Savannah says, and I groan.

"Okay, he was big. Are you happy now?" I admit, and Savannah's smile widens even more.

"I knew it! I could tell from the second he walked into your hospital room that he was packin' down there." Savannah says, and she has a somewhat devilish grin on her face.

Xiu and I just laugh at her, and we continue to beautify each other and gossip about school, celebrities, the usual teenage chatter. Once it starts getting dark, we're all arguing about which scary movie we should watch first.

"Let's see Insidious Chapter III!" Xiu demands, and Savannah shakes her head.

"No, no, no! We should watch Ouija." Savannah argues.

"Ouija was boring as fuck. Plus, none of us have seen Insidious Chapter III." I say, and Xiu sticks her tongue out at Savannah.

"Fine," Savannah says after rolling her eyes. "Let's watch it."

We turn the lights off and I prepare the popcorn and all of the snacks before we start the movie. Bruno cuddles up next to me, putting his head on top of my thigh. I absentmindedly pet him as my attention draws to the screen because the movie started playing.

"Okay, so far so good." Savannah says through a mouth of popcorn.

Every time the music intensified or we could just sense a jump scare, we'd all huddle together, cover our eyes with either our fingers or blankets. At one point, we screamed so loud that Bruno scurried out of the room because we frightened him.

"Bruno, no! I'm sorry, come here and love me!" I say in a whiny voice, and he just stands in his spot.

"Shhh! I think something good's about to happen." Xiu says, nudging my side.

"Shut up!" Savannah says through a mouth full of gummy worms.

"I just farted." Xiu says, and we all crack up in laughter, becoming oblivious to the movie.

"God, Xiu! What did you eat?" I complain, playfully pinching my nose shut.

"I had some Taco Bell, I'm sorry!" She says defensively, and I bury my nose in the pillow while laughing.

I don't even remember how the movie ended, all I can remember is us talking and taking selfies together before we all fell asleep. In the morning, I see Xiu's foot right in my face, and Savannah's body is splayed across the floor and Bruno sits his fat body on her head, and Savannah's body doesn't even flinch.

I hear the lock of the front door click open, and I see Rian open the door and his eyes go wide in surprise. He looks around the room, and finally at me and I give him a smile.

"It must've been a party when I left," He says, and I chuckle. "What the hell happened?"

"I invited them over, and I'm sorry for not telling you in advance it was kind of last minute." I say, and he shakes his head.

"It's fine, babe. I don't care if they stay over." He replies quickly, throwing his keys on the table.

"You look exhausted." I say, looking him up and down.

He has bags underneath his eyes, and his hair is slightly disheveled. His uniform looks wrinkled, which is strange because it's always crisp and sharp looking. Even in his posture, which is currently lazy and slouched.

"You could say that." He says with a sigh.

"You look like hell, you should go get some sleep." I say, worried about him.

"It's fine, Alex. I'll be okay, I'm used to being drained of my energy." He says flatly.

"So? It's not healthy for you, you should know that because you're a doctor. You look so tired that you could collapse!" I argue, and he gives me a sly grin.

He stands up, and startles me by picking me up bridal style.

"I'm not too tired to lift you up, though." He replies, and we smile at each other.

"What about them?" I ask, looking at Xiu and Savannah's unconscious bodies.

"They'll wake up eventually," He says nonchalantly, and I smile as he walks us upstairs into the bedroom.

He sets me down gently on the bed, and in one swift motion, he takes off his shirt to reveal his godly chest. He slips his pants off as well, and he's wearing a pair of Calvin Klein boxer briefs. As he turns his body to the side, I notice that he has a raging erection.

"R," I say, giving him a small smirk.

"A," He says, mocking my voice, and I throw a pillow at him.

He effortlessly catches it, so I keep throwing pillows at him until there are no more on the bed. A couple pelted his body, and he laughed while holding up his arms as a shield against them. Rian picks up a pillow from the floor, and he whacks me in the side with it. We start laughing heartily while chasing each other around with the pillows, hitting a hit or two in occasionally. I finally manage to hit him more than three times, once in the face, and twice on his rock hard abdomen. He grabs the pillow when I go in for another hit, and he throws it on the floor before we both fall onto the bed.

He buries head into my neck, and I smile as his tongue slowly grazes against it, and electricity shocks my veins. My body instantly heats up, and I lick my lips before pressing my mouth to his neck in return. I feel his large hands trail along my sides, and he starts to tickle me. We both start laughing before we disappear underneath the covers into an abyss of pleasure.
