After the check up the pack Doctor left and I fell asleep. I hated Braxton right now but his bed was sooo comfortable. It was like I was sleeping on a cloud and nothing else mattered.

I heard talking outside of the door but I really couldn't hear much. So I focused a little harder and I heard them talking.

"You need to get over it Braxton. It's been a couple of years man. I'm sorry but she's gone.. Angelica is gone and she's never coming back."

I heard a lamp suddenly break and someone hit the wall.

"You will mind your own business Joshua. You are never to speak of her again! Or So help me god I will kill you myself."

It was quiet until Josh spoke again.

"Look at you. Acting like a child because of something that you can't change! I'm trying to help you here! You need a mate and we need a Luna and you know that. She seems like a nice person, you need to get over Angelica."

With that, I heard footsteps leave and the only sound left was the sound of someone's heavy breathing.

I heard Rosie whimper and I don't blame her. Is that why Braxton won't let me in? Because he's in love with someone else?

"

I didn't know what to say because what she's saying is exactly what I'm thinking. But Hearing the way her voice broke just broke me even more.

"Oh Rosie. It's going to be ok."

I was going to comfort her again until I heard the door nob move. I sat up in bed and waited until they came in. They meaning Braxton.

He wore a white v neck and some sweatpants. His hair looked pretty messy, and he looked really tired. I looked up into his eyes and all I saw was frustration.

"You're awake." It wasn't a question but more like a statement.

I looked away from his eyes and down at my hands that were placed on my lap and that were intertwined with each other.

"Yes."

It was quiet. He stood there with crossed arms as he leaned up against the door.

"I see some of your injuries have healed. You may take a shower, and come down for dinner. I'll have someone bring you..."

I didn't want to stay here any longer then necessary. I just wanted to get home.

"No. I'm fine. If you could just get me some clothes to change into, I'll have no problem getting home by myself."

Again he didn't speak. I looked up to see what he was doing but he had his eyes closed. And his head was laid back against the door.

Finally he opened his eyes and I saw nothing. It was like he had no soul.

"Very well." He got up and started to walk out the door but I stopped him. I had to know.

"Who's Angelica?" I didn't look up, I didn't sound angry but I did sound hurt.

He was gripping the door nob so hard I thought he was going to break it. I was just about to tell him nevermind that he didn't have to tell me but he started to talk.

"She was someone special. She was a women I respected and loved with all my heart. She is the reason I love no one."

With that he left. I didn't know what to say. I didn't know how to feel. I was happy that he opened up to me. But I was hurt because now I know he will never love me like he loved her.

A knock was heard at the door and a girl came in. She looked scared and shy so I offered her a smile to ease her feelings.

"T-the alpha said you needed some clothes."

She walked towards the bed and placed them on the sheets.

"Thanks you...." Then I realized I didn't know her name.

"Jasmine." She said with a smile.

"Jasmine. That's a pretty name. I'm Eva. It's nice to meet you."

She smiled at me and nodded her head.

"You too." She smiled one last time before she turned around and headed out the door.

I got up and realized that Braxton was right. Most of my wounds had heeled. I felt my back and those wounds were gone too. Hmm. That was quick.

I got up, and looked at the clothes that jasmine gave me. Not bad. Black pants, a white long sleeve, and some sandals. I could do without the sandals but I'm not going to be ungrateful.

So I took off Braxton's shirt and threw on the other clothes. I walked into his restroom and looked to see how I looked. The shirt was a little tight on me but I'm not going to complain.

His bathroom fit his personality. It was a dark brown, almost black. He had rugs the match. Everything else was either gold or silver. Not my taste but it looked nice.

I decided to tell him thank you, I wasn't going to be a rude guest even if he was a rude host.

I looked down at the bed and saw his shirt. Should I just give it back to him? Maybe I should wash it first. Then give it back. I mean it is rude...

So I folded the shirt the best I could and walked with it in my hands. Everyone looked at me as I tried to find my way. First off, I don't know why everyone was on his level of the pack house. Isn't it against the rules here?

I saw jasmine and I called out her name. She turned around and waved at. I sped walked to her to see if I could some kind of direction here.

"Do you know where Braxton's at?"

She looked at me shocked but then snapped out of it.

"Sorry I just never heard anyone call him by just his name. Uhh hold on." Her eyes turned into a dull brown until they became brighter.

She's mind linking. So I waited until she was done, playing with the shirt that was in my hands.

"He's in his office. Down the hall, last door on the right." I told her thank you and left.

I kept walking until I found the door. Let's just get this over with.

I don't know why but something caused me not to knock, something just told me to go right on in, so I did.

And when I did my heart broke. There, stood my mate with Jessica on his lap. Jessica, the bitch who claimed my mate as hers.

I stood there stuck. I didn't know what to do. He finally noticed I walked in and pushed Jessica off his lap.

"What the.... Oh hey Eva! Didn't see you there. Alpha Braxton and I were just.... Busy." She winked at me and all I could do was look at Braxton.

"You should have knocked! Have you no respect for privacy?"

Respect. He wants to talk about respect when his MATE is right here being loyal as she could be, when her mate is off screwing MY pack members?

"I came to look for you so I could say thank you for your...... Hospitality. But it seems your busy so I'll be on my way."

I took two steps towards the door before he raced over to me and grabbed my arm.

"Let me take you home." I turned to face him and for once, even if it was for a moment I saw guilt. Then it was gone and replaced by nothing.

"You've done enough." My eyes wondered towards Jessica as she stood there with a smirk on her face.

"You are no longer welcomed in my pack. The moment you return to the pack house expect to have your bags packed." I yanked my arm away from his grip and I heard her laugh.

"You can't be serious!?" She smiled but when she saw my face she knew I meant business.

"You are not my alpha! You can't banish me or kick me out of the pack house."

She had a smirk on her face like she just won. Fool. I've read the laws.

"Since the moment I've stepped foot into the territory you've done nothing but disrespect me, threaten me, and fought me. Braxton may not have marked me or claim me as his but I am still a Luna! You have endangered my pack, and my mate. You have gone against the Code of Mates. Meaning..."

"You can kick me out for endangering the well being of the pack. Because by endangering and threatening you, I'm also hurting the pack because a pack can not function with a Luna."

She finished for me and I swear by the look on her face, I almost felt sorry for her. Almost. She knew she lost and that I have won.

"You can't do this to me! You can't fucking do this!"

I turned away from her and looked towards Braxton. He had an emotion of anger and pride. But I was still showing hurt in my eyes.

"I just did. Goodbye." I pictured myself at the pack house and before I knew it, a gust of wind swirled around me and I was in the dinning room, with everyone who was having breakfast.

They all looked shocked at first except for Alex. He just smiled.

"Show off." He threw a grape at me and I dodge. I almost fell over because I felt light headed but Nate was right there to catch me.

"Woah Eva. You ok? How... How did you do that!?" He was shocked and I guess I should explain.

I walked over to my seat at the table and decided to explain to everyone what I've been doing. Not with unknown but just my research.

"I went into the library one day, and decided to look up what I am. When Nate and I saw mom she told me I was special and that I could do a lot of things if I set my mind to it. So I did. I discovered a lot. I could strengthen my senses, teleport, control elements, and so on. I've been using them a lot lately but it takes a lot of energy to do it, so I get a little light headed but nothing I can't handle."

Everyone stayed quiet and I just realized James was here. With Jeremiah.

"Does Braxton know?" James asked.

"He knows I can teleport. I left his office right now when I caught he and Jessica..."

I left it as that. They can think what they want about what happened. Really doesn't matter. I looked around the table and there were a lot of emotions. The girls gave me sympathetic looks, the guys looked annoyed and angry. My father... I couldn't tell how he felt. But James and Jeremiah they looked disappointed.

"Braxton... He's .."

"Lost. Confused. Needs time. I know. But while I'm here being a loyal mate he's off screwing my pack members. Which is why I banished jessica."

Everyone now looked shocked.

"Eva.. I love you but You're not alpha. You can't just kick out people from my pack without asking me. Even if you did I couldn't kick her out. That's not a good enough reason."

So I told them exactly what I told Jessica and Braxton. Now everyone looked impressed except for Nate, my father, James, and Jeremiah. Ok only the girls were on my side.

"Eva.. I get it. She hurt you and stuff. But it takes two to uhhh cheat? I don't know. But you can't banish her. You want her to be a rogue? To become ruthless? To kill an innocent? Do you really want that blood on your hands?"

I could feel my temperate rising and I knew I was going to explode.

"Why should I feel guilty!? She had no compassion for me or how I felt and neither did he! I have no sympathy towards her because she did what she did at the cost of my feelings so why should I spare hers?!" I slammed my hands on the table and looked at Nate.

"You will sit down! This is not your decision! She is on MY territory! She is MY pack member. And this is MY pack! He doesn't want you? Fine. Be angry but you will not make decisions because you are acting childish!" Nate got up as well and now we were both fuming with rage.

I need to leave.

I grabbed the shirt and teleported towards a lake I know that's not far into the woods.

I found myself on a rock starring at the lake. I knew deep down Nate was right. But it's because he's right that makes me angry.

"Hard day?" I jumped up and saw that it was unknown.

"What... What do you want?"

"An answer. This could be simple and sweet. It's your choice so just play along."

I starred as he got closer to the rock that I was standing on.

"Alpha Braxton. He is your mate?" I didn't know how to answer. What if he already knew and I lied? Who's lives with be on my hands?

But what if he didn't know and just suspected? I hate Braxton but I knew I still cared for him.

"Yes." Was my answer.

Unknown just laughed.

"So you lied? I asked you after you returned from the diner."

"I did it to protect him."

He just smiled and me and shrugged his shoulders.

"I know. Which is why this was a test. I knew Braxton was your mate when he rescued you at the mall. I must admit, he's charming to do so."

I was angry.

"You sent those rogues to kill me!?" I wanted nothing more then to shift and rip his head off.

"Of course. I had my suspicions about the Alpha but I needed to know if I was right. Which I was. "

I didn't know what to say or do. I was shocked. My friends could've been killed, I could've been killed.

"You Said if I kept my word about all of this that my family and I would be safe! That was the deal! Your mutts could've killed us!"

"Tsk tsk tsk. Don't be so over dramatic. Their job was just to injure your friends and you. I needed to figure out who belonged to who."

Now I see it.

"If you lay one more hand on them I swear to god I will.."

"WHAT!? what exactly can you do Evangeline? The way I see

It is, we fight and I die? I can have my rogues attack your pack the second I take my last breath. If I live so does your pack, mate, and everyone else you care about. See? Win win!" He laughed as he started to walk away.

"Just take me now! For the love of god just take me... I can't keep doing this. I just can't." If I could leave with him now they won't come looking for me. They'll think I just ran away or something.

"And why would I do that? I need to take you when the times right! Which is in 2 days time. So enjoy it, please. "

With that he shifted and ran towards the woods. I didn't see him anymore and I really didn't care. I was just sure of 3 things.

1) No matter what I'll always love my family. So I'll just wait until he comes for me. And I'll cherish the time I'll have with my family.

2) no matter how angry I am, I know deep down I won't banish Jessica. She's a mean soul, but not mean enough for me to make her a killer.

And finally...

3) Where ever I go with this sadistic asshole, I'll kill him the moment I get the chance too.
