I just got back from spending the entire day at the lake with Mickey. I'm not going to lie, Braxton was on my mind the whole time. He almost broke the table in half before I left. If that's not a sign I don't know what is.

But then again that could mean a couple of things. Was he jealous because he cares? Or was he jealous because he's just possessive?

The logical side of me is saying that he's just being possessive. A lot of Alphas tend to do that with their mates.

But the mate side of me is hoping that he was jealous because he cared. I know deep down Braxton could be a caring person. He's just had a tough life. Which is why he's so ruthless.

I was broken from thought when a heard two familiar voices come from behind my door.

"Ohhhhhh Eva!!! Let us in" both Destiny, and Athena screamed.

"We brought chocolates, and candy, and soda, and hot Cheetos, and cheese, and pop corn and movies, and crackers and I don't know what else!!!" Said Athena in one breath.

Oh my moon goddess. I sat on my bed and looked at the door trying not to laugh. I could see one of them got on their knees and looked under the door.

"I know you're in there Eva... I can smell you!"

I was about to walk towards the door when it bursts open showing two teenaged girls in pjs carrying a lot of food.

"Come in guys." I rolled my eyes but couldn't stop the smile from showing.

"You took forever and I was getting hungry," Athena shrugged her shoulders and Destiny just nodded her head.

"So to what do I owe the pleasure ladies? " I threw myself on my bed as they dumped all the food onto the bed too.

"We, my friend are having that sleep over!" Destiny said as she flopped down on the bed next to me with a licorice hanging out of her mouth.

"Are we now?" I said smiling at the two.

"We are! And we brought food and stuff! Movie night, with guy talk, sex talks, and over dosing on junk food!"

I had to laugh at that. Maybe having girls that are friends won't be so bad. This might actually help me.

"Wait... Why'd you guys bring cheese?" I said as I looked at the bowl with hot cheese in it.

"For the hot Cheetos?" They both looked at me as if I was stupid. Honestly, that doesn't sound to good.

"Hot Cheetos and cheese? No offense but that sounds gross!"

They both gasped but I had to laugh when Destiny took the cheese and covered it with her hands.

Like if the cheese were a child and she was protecting it from hearing something it shouldn't hear. Drama queen.

"You have never tried hot Cheetos and cheese before!?" Athena all but screamed. Destiny and I both cringed me mostly since I was closer.

"Woahhh keep it down princess. Wolf hearing remember?" Destiny said cleaning her ears out with her fingers. Athena just looked sheepish and apologized.

"But to answer your question, no I haven't. That kind of seems weird to tell you the truth." They both shook their heads. Was it really that good?

Destiny grabbed the chips while Athena grabbed the cheese. They put some chips on a plate and poured cheese all over them. Destiny shoved some in her mouth and made a moaning sound.

Athena followed her lead and she moaned too but this time her eyes rolled to the back of her head.

"Relax guys, this isn't a porno!" The girls turned red and I bursted out laughing

"Hahah you.... Y-you should've seen your f-faces! Goddess you guys are comedy!" They threw pillows at me and that lead to a 30 minute pillow fight. But I made sure we only used the pillows that didn't have the note inside.

It would've been longer but Athena got super aggressive so we stopped. Turns out she's the competitive type. Perfect for Alex!

"Movie time" Athena jumped from the bed and ran towards the movies.

"Let's watch......... A Christmas kiss!"

Athena popped in the movie and we started eating the junk food. Turns out hot Cheetos and cheese isn't so bad. It's probably my favorite snack now.

The rest of the night went uneventful. We watched two other movies and then the girls wanted to talk about the guys.

"I don't know... I feel like Alex was just made for me, you know?"

Athena was currently talking about her and Alex's relationship and how cute she thinks they are together. Honestly, I wasn't to interested because it's my brother. So I just listened without listening.... If that makes sense.

"That's because you guys ARE made for each other. You guys are MATES Athena."

Athena dropped her smile from her face and threw popcorn at Destiny.

"That's not what I meant! Smarty pants! It's not about the mate thing. It's about the fact that I can be with him and it feels like I've known him my entire life. And it's so cute how he gets jealous when other guys look at me! I could just marry the guy." She had this dreamy look on her face and I knew I had to ruin it.

So I made a gagging noise and Destiny busted up laughing which made me laugh and Athena just crossed her arms and huffed like a five year old.

"Ok.... Ok I'm sorry. No more making fun of Alex- pooh and Athenakins" Destiny laughed even harder and I had to join in.

"Yea well at least I got the better twin." Athena smirked when Destiny stopped laughing.

"You did not! Danny is way hotter than Alex! Plus he's the higher rank, and the oldest."'Athena gasped and I knew this was going to get nasty.

"You did not just say that about Alex's rank!" Athena threw herself at Destiny and they both fell off the bed and started wrestling.

I didn't bother stopping the fight so I laid on my stomach and started eating the hot Cheetos and cheese.

It wasn't until Destiny pinned Athena that they both have up.

"Awww that was it!? Booooo you guys suck!" I said rolling over and patting my stomach.

"Dang this food baby is big!" I screamed rubbing my stomach more.

"A what?"'Athena said.

"A food baby. It's when you've eaten so much that you look like you're pregnant. And that's exactly what I look like"

The girls and I started laughing but they both got these blank stares in their faces. Must be using the mind link.

"Sorry Alex wanted know where I was at. Cute huh?"

"Ehhhh he's just nosey." I said popping a popcorn into my mouth.

Destiny was still talking to Danny so it was just Athena and I.

"Shutup Eva." Athena rolled her eyes but started eating my popcorn.

"Sorry Danny wanted to see where I was. Men, so nosey." She grabbed a soda and started drinking it.

I looked towards Athena and smirked. But she just rolled her eyes.

"What did you guys say?"

They both smirked and started laughing. I was lost but I knew they would tell me when they calmed down.

"I told Alex I was at the club with you."

"And I told Danny we went skinny dipping in the lake."

"And did you guys say you guys were kidding? Because they will tare this place apart looking for you two idiots."

I looked between the girls and they just looked amused.

"Nope." They both said.

I laughed knowing my brothers were probably going crazy. Yup I definitely like them now.

"So Eva. Any luck with Alpha Douche bag?" I was midway of putting a hot Cheeto in my mouth when Destiny said that.

I put down the Cheeto and shook my head.

"Nope. Braxton doesn't want me and I'm ok with that now. If he doesn't want a mate then I won't be his."

It was quiet for a bit besides my loud chewing. The girls kept looking at each other and it was starting to bother me.

"Ok. Out with it." I threw the chip on the plate and waited.

"Eva... That spell could kill you." Athena grabbed my hand and looked at me all sad.

"Yea and what will the guys do if you do die? They always talk about how good of a sister you've been to them. How you're the closest thing to a mom. What will that do to them?"

Hearing my brothers talk about the separation spell and how it could kill me kind of made me sad.

My brothers mean more to me than anything. I wouldn't let them be put in harms way, and I'd do anything to protect them from getting hurt. But this? Could I go through with this?

"I love my brothers. They've always been there for me. But now they have you guys. Mates are suppose to keep each other strong, be there for them in time of need. Cherish each other and love them unconditionally. That's what you guys are going to do. And Nate, he'll find his mate soon. I can feel it. As long as you guys stay by their sides they will be fine. "

Athena threw herself to me and hugged me. I could feel her crying and I wanted to do the same. But I was really tired of crying. So I held in the Unshed tears. Athena let me go and Destiny hugged me too.

"Be strong Eva. Don't die ok? We all need you."

"I was dead the moment I knew Braxton could never feel anything for me. I'm alive but I'm not living. Promise you'll keep them safe ok? For me."

I looked towards both of them and the nodded their heads.

They wiped their tears and we all laid back down on the bed and talked aimlessly.

"Hey, what happened after I left the table? Did Braxton break it?" The girls started laughing and that's exactly what I wanted. Nothing's better than the sound of laughter.

"No but he did say he had to get back to his territory so he could take care of business." I smiled at that.

Whether he lied or not he chose that lie for a reason. It means he will always put his pack before him. He could've said he wasn't feeling well, or that he had a meeting but he didn't.

That's a great alpha trait.

"I say another movie!" Destiny jumped up this time and she decided to put in titanic. Great just what I needed.

We were hallway through the movie when I noticed the girls fell asleep.

So I turned off the movie and started to clean up the mess. But then the door busted open and Danny and Alex stood right there with their arms crossed.

The girls jumped awake scared because of the noise but groaned when they saw the boys.

Busted.

"So this is where you guys were!? Do you have any idea how hard we've been trying to find you guys!?"

Athena threw a pillow over her ears and Destiny just shushed Danny.

Athena went to throw the pillow at Danny but the note fell out. My heart rate sped up and I ran to snatch it out of her hands.

"Hey what's..... HEY! It's not nice to snatch Eva!" Athena said trying to get the note back.

"Yea well too bad princess!" I stuffed the note in my bra and Athena stopped.

"Ok you win. I give. But I will read that note missy." She threw herself on the bed and Destiny followed.

Within seconds they were fast asleep.

"What the hell just happened?" Danny said looking at Alex.

"I don't know dude but I can't sleep with out Athena next to me soooo.."

Alex walked in and picked up Athena who curled into his chest.

"Same." Danny did the same to Destiny who looked like a drunk child. Her arms we're falling out everywhere and she was flopping around.

"Your mates weird." Danny just looked at me and smiled.

"Wait why can't you guys sleep without them?" I asked.

"Because it's a mate thing Eva. Once you've slept with your mate next to you. Your wolf gets restless and gets worried. You want and need them next to you. Which is why the girls are sleeping with us." Danny said.

"Right..... Well, you two have amazing mates. I'm glad you guys are happy."

The boys looked down at their mates and then at me. I was happy for my brothers. If I couldn't have a happy ending doesn't mean they couldn't.

"Thanks Eve. See you in the morning?"

"Sure." I nodded at my brothers and they left.

I decided to clean my room and then take a shower. After I was done with the mess I grabbed my towel and about 30 minutes later I was out.

I got changed and went towards my bed but I stopped when I saw someone sitting on it.

"I wouldn't scream if I were you Evangeline. With just a push of a button I can have everyone in the pack under attack. " The voice was rough and deep. It was too dark to see him but I could see the outline of his figure.

"How's the hand?" I didn't bother saying anything and tried to mind link Nate. But I couldn't.

"Mind linking are we? It won't work. My toy helps me do that, but let's call it magic." Still I said nothing.

"Wolf got your tongue?" He walked over to me and with every step he took, I took one back.

But I ran out of room when my back hit the wall.

"Your as beautiful as your mother." He went to touch my face but I moved it out of the way.

"You don't know my mother." He shook his head and went back to the bed.

"Tsk tsk tsk... I should know her. I killed her."

I went to shift but two figures came from the bathroom, grabbed my shoulders and held me down. So that my knees were on the floor and they towered over me.

"Bad move my beauty. But let's cut the small talk shall we? I came for one reason, and one reason only. I heard you're performing the separation spell. Makes me wonder who your mate is. I'll figure it out eventually, but you could possibly die my dear. And we can't have that now can we?"

I tried to move but one of them grabbed my hair and pulled it back. I hissed and the guy that killed my mother snapped at the guy who pulled my hair.

"I told you NOT to hurt her! Are you ok Evangeline?" He tried to touch my face but I spat at him. He wiped the spit from his face and onto his shirt.

"Cute. Very cute. But you will obey me Evangeline. So here are my terms. You will cancel the spell, and leave with me."

"And if I don't?" I was angry. Rosie was angry. But there wasn't anything we could do.

"Then everyone in this pack with die. Look how easy it was to get into your territory. And into your room. We could easily over power everyone here. I'll kill off every single pack member first and then I'll kill your family."

I growled at him and tried to set myself free but the boys held me down.

"Your choice Evangeline. You have 2 weeks to decide. If you take time after two weeks, a person will be killed for each day you don't comply."

I didn't know what to do so I just started crying.

"Don't cry Evangeline. You'll be happy with me, I promise. I'll see you in two weeks ok?"

The guards let me go and I just sat and watched as they jumped out of the window.

"Oh and tell anyone of this and that little girl Emily that you saved will be first to die. And I will know if you spoke of this little encounter. Don't test me Evangeline but if you do, be ready to have blood on your hands. Until we meet again."

And with that he jumped out the window and shifted halfway. They ran out into the woods and I could no longer see them.

So I sat on my room floor and cried. I cried because I didn't know what to do, I cried because my family and pack were in danger and I cried because I finally know who killed my mom.
