"No.... No! NOO!" I yell running over to Shake Nate's shoulder. Nothing. So I run over to Eva's bed to do the same. Nothing.
"Eve wake up! Don't do this to me! Alex help me don't just stand there! Do something!!!" Alex snaps out of it and runs to Nate screaming his name trying to wake him up.
"Dad where the hell is that doctor! Tell him to get his ass over here right now!" My dad snaps out of it but bolts down the stairs and out the house.
"Danny this isn't working!" Alex says screaming still shaking Nate's shoulder.
"Try to get there heart beating again, do CPR!" Alex nods his head and starts working on Nate.
"James! I'm going to need your help." Alex says looking at James who just nods his head.
"Tell me what to do."
" I push, and you hold Nate's head back to open his air ways." And with that they get started on Nate.
"Cmon Eve wake up..." I say whispering while I'm pushing her chest.
"Move. You're doing it wrong." Braxton shoves me out the way and starts working on eve.
"Who the hell do you think you are! This is my sister we're talking about! I know what I'm doing!" I shove him out the way but I end up getting pinned to the wall.
"Exactly, she is your sister. But if you want her to live you'll do as I say! You will not disrespect me again Daniel." His voice leaked venom, and even I had to admit, it scared me a little.
Braxton kept his grip around my neck pretty tight but I wasn't going down without a fight. So I kneed his stomach which got him to loosen his grip around my neck and I shoved him as hard as I could.
He stumbled back and was ready to attack when my father came in with the doctor.
"Enough! You two will stop acting like children fighting over some piece of candy! So help me god if you both don't get your heads out of your ass long enough to realize I might loose a daughter than there WILL be consequences!"
I bowed my head and Braxton nodded his head at my father.
"Now move so Dr.Kilt can help my daughter." My father nodded at the doc and he got to work on Eve.
Braxton stepped aside and I went to lean on the wall looking worriedly at my sister.
"She's going to need CPR! Quick someone push her chest while give her CPR." The doctor screamed yelling at anyone, I went to move but we head a vicious growl.

Alex and I both looked at each other and looked around to see everyone looking at Braxton.
"Did...did you just ... GROWL?" Alex said looking confused at a shaking Braxton, if I thought he was pissed before he was definitely livid.
Braxton just ignored Alex and everyone looking at him and walked around the bed to the docs side.
"You push on her chest, and I'll give her CPR." Braxton said looking down at Eve.
The doctor didn't know whether to look at him or not but he looked at my father expectingly, who was looking at Braxton with accusing yet amazed eyes. What the hell got into him?
"Go!" Braxton yelled and the doctor went on the other side to start pushing.
Beep.... Beep.... Beeeep
I snap my head towards Nate's bed and rush over to him.
"It's working! Cmon Nate wake up!" Alex says now waiting on Nate.
"Uhhhhhhhhh" Nate shoots forward taking a big breath of air like he's been holding his breath forever.
"What the..." Nate looks around at all of us and smiles.
"Dude!" Both Alex and I screamed and went to go and hug Nate at the same time.
"Can't.... Breath..." Nate wheezes outs.
We back up to give him some room. And his face turns to a confuse one when he sees James by his side. When he turns to look at me, he looks pass me to see Eve still on the bed, dying.
"NO! Eva!" He jumps up and runs to her side.
"Dammit Eva wake up! We were suppose to come back together! That was the deal!" Nate screamed looking at her.
"Woah, Nate you need to relax we're trying our best right now to get her back." I said placing my hand on his shoulder.
"Get off of me! this wasn't suppose to happen! We were suppose to come back together! Oh god... Was this what she meant by Eva will soon know her fate?" Nate runs both of his hands through his hair and starts pulling on it.
"Nathaniel who are you talking about?" My dad asked,
I look over at him and he looks just as confused as the rest of us.
"Mom." And with that no one said anything. All you could hear was the doctor counting and the breath in take of Braxton.
Dad looked taken back, then just like that he was livid.
"Don't you dare speak of her with your lies and foolishness. I will NOT stand here and watch you use your mother in vein." He said taking a step forward towards Nate.

"Lies? Foolishness!? You have no idea what Eva And I went through and who we saw, what we did in order to survive! I am the LAST person to ever talk about moms name in Vein so don't YOU DARE try to tell me what is and isn't a lie considering you are the definition of lies!" Nate screamed just as livid as dad was.
By now dad and Nate were shaking.
"You do not understand what I have done to protect this family! So you will hold your tongue Nathaniel!" Dad screamed.
"I will hold nothing! I am not lying!"
"Do you know what? Watever it is that you imagined was a dream. Or fantasy that had your mother in it. That is all Nathaniel now drop it."
"I know who you are." Nate said putting both hands on Eva's bed railing and lowering his head.
"What are you talking about?" My dad asked getting a little frustrated himself.
"You are an Alpha aren't you?" Nate asked barely above a whisper.
My father looked shocked and didn't days anything at first.
"Nathaniel, I ..."
"More specifically you're Alpha David of the Dark Crescent Pack. Mate to Samantha Steins Everlast who was LUNA of the Dark Crescent Pack making us Alpha children and me the next soon to be Alpha." Nate said finally straightening up and looking dead at my father.
My father looked more surprised than I have ever seen him.
"Where did you hear that from?" My father asked. Nate rolled his eyes and looked backed at Eve
"I already told you that." Nate's voice broke.
"Alpha, it isn't working. I'm afraid.... I'm sorry." The doctor stopped but Braxton just continued on with Eve.
"No! Continue to help her or so help me I'll report you to the council for your callous behavior and have your licensed be taken from you!" Braxton yelled.
"Yes Alpha," the doctor bowed his head and took out the electric shocks.
"Clear!" Nothing,
"Clear!" Nothing again.
"Clear!" Nothing,
The doctor looked at my father and shook his head.
"Report me if you'd like but she's gone. There's nothing I can do." The doctor bowed his head and Braxton threw the chair that was next to him against the wall. Then the lamp, the phone, the vase of flowers, and finally he stopped.
"Evangeline." He whispered looking down at her but with such cold eyes.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhh" she shot forward in her bed panting for air.
"Eva!" Nate screamed and ran to her side and scooped her up in his arms.
"Nate." She whispered on the verge of tears.
"She did it. We're back." She whispered.
"Eve!!" Alex and I screamed grabbing our sister and hugging her.
"Danny, Alex! I missed you so much." It broke my heart to hear her cry.
"Evangeline? " we let go of Eva and she ran to my father jumping in his arms.
"Dad. I.... I missed you." She said hugging him.
My father closed his eyes and hugged her just as tight,
"I thought I lost you. I thought I lost both of you." That was the first time I heard my fathers voice crack.
"Never, mom wouldn't let that happen. She wanted us back." Eve said smiling at the mention of our mothers name.
"Well, your mother has always been there to help me when I needed it. I guess she still can but the doctor and Braxton also helped."
Eva let my father go and walked over to the doctor and she gave him a hug.
"Thank you." She whispered,
"It was my pleasure Evangeline."
"You may call me Eva," she said smiling at him. To which he nodded his head at.
She walked over to Braxton who looked like emotionless.
Eva walked nervously to him and stopped right in front of him.
"Mhmm.... I... Well... Just wanted to... C-come... And yea. Thank you Braxton. You brought me back to my family." Eva said looking at all of us.
"You are welcome Evangeline." He says nodding at her.
"You can call me Eva." She said smiling up at him.
"I prefer Evangeline." He says, looking down at her with a slight smile.
Eva just nods her head but they continue to stare at each other.
They break out of the starring contest when my father clears his throat.
"Mhmm well, now that you two are back and seem to be fine, we have a lot to talk about."
And with that we head to the living room to hear a story we'd never forget.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

STEM: The Topical Dungeon
Inspired by CORE: The Volcanic Dungeon by Ace Arriande and a spiritual successor to my writing prompt series Evolution Barricade, STEM is a series following the reincarnation of Kaden into the fantasy world of Brogdar. Reborn as a "DM" and a plant, Kaden tackles the challenges of being the agent of the chaotic god: trying to be his very own dungeon master. However, unlike other stories, Kaden is often making fun of and dealing with disadvantages that the normal reincarnated hero would never have to worry about. A parody of the normal tropes of isekai, STEM is a periodic series that is intended to release a minimum of once per week. There may be times where there is more than one drop, but those would be special occasions. Additionally, the content tags are simply to try and ensure my readers know these stories can encompass a large variety of things. They may not immediately be in focus, but they will all end up appearing!

This is one of my first published stories, hate it if you want, I probably will, but any advice will always be appreciated, if I can improve my writing I will be happy. Cover is temporary, royalty-free image, until I either create or commision someone to create a new one
