"Allons-y!"

The 10th Doctor yells before driving the flying ship down to Earth with his alien friends.

I shoved a handful of popcorn on my mouth, feeling genuinely upset that I can't be one of the Doctor's companion. Why can't Doctor Who be real and why can't I be the Doctor's new companion? I think I'd make a pretty good one. Doctor, oh Doctor, the mad man with the blue box, where are you? Come and take me away from this strange world.

"Drew, do you want to not spill popcorn everywhere maybe?" My best friend arrives in the living room with her laptop and paperwork. "How was work, by the way?"

"I met a werewolf."

She stopped typing for a minute. She just froze. Then she blinked and nodded. "Okay."

I couldn't help but grin at her reaction. Me too, Eva. Me too.

"Update on America and Russia's war -- " I rolled my eyes and switched the channel. I hate seeing the news now. It's not that I don't care about what is happening in the world. I've just grown tired of it. It's the same shit every time. It's all because of countries fighting because they have fucked up government systems and dumb ass presidents. I think people can solve issues if they actually sit down, talk and think for a little bit. Not just act based on their emotions. They need to actually think. They waste so much time, money and resources from the things they're doing now. They could be saving people, money, and basically making the world a better place if they actually think. But are they doing that? Of course not. But, whatever.

"Arizona and California has been increasing the numbers of missing people and sudden deaths within the past three months and nothing has been found why this is happening. The government stated that -- " Next channel. I hate everything. Why is there so much bad things happening the world? Why can't people just be nice?! Still, at least the news is actually reporting about missing people. Sometimes, they don't. Media is biased now a days.

Seeing as there is nothing else good on TV, I turned it off and finally started on my homework. My Anthropology essay. What is the most interesting thing have you seen within the past few months? Very fitting.

I ended up finishing the essay in about two hours, which is the fastest I've written. After eating dinner with Eva and listening on her team's new robot invention, being an engineer and all, I went to take a long shower. In the shower, my mind drifted back to 17, still finding it hard to believe that a werewolf is still alive today. I cannot get those grey eyes out of my head, and how they make me feel all weird inside.

When I got out of the shower, I heard footsteps just outside the door. "Eva, what do you need?" I asked, opening it. She wasn't there. "Eva?" I asked loudly.

"Yeah?" Her voice sounded nowhere near my room. She was still in the living room. There's only two of us in this apartment. Shit.

"Nothing!" I screamed, walking quickly to my bed to get the baseball bat I hide under it. "Who's here?" I asked quietly, walking around my room. Mind you, I'm wearing nothing but a towel, walking around with a bat. Probably not the best attire to fight someone.

I checked everywhere. I even checked the living room, kitchen and every room in the apartment, but I didn't find anyone else. I've just concluded that I may have just imagined it. So, I called it a day and dove straight to my bed. I did notice though, the room is colder than usual. Colder than other rooms.

"Whaddup, spooky." I greeted the tall boy as I took my seat in my Physics class. His name is Ezra but we call him Spooky because he looks like Fox Mulder from The X-Files and he loves spooky stuff. Then again, everyone in this class do. Just now when I walked in, the group is talking about the missing people that was on the news and they're talking about how it may be aliens or something.

"Hello darling." Spooky winks, pulling me in for a hug. "Did you do the homework?"

My eyes widened. "What homework?"

"No? Okay good. None of us did it either." He replies smugly.

Rami waved at me. "Drew! I didn't see you after the incident yesterday at the lab. Are you okay?" I nodded. "We all went home after. I wonder what happened."

I know exactly what happened. "Yeah, same."

"Alright class." Our professor, Doctor Sokolov arrived with her tea as always. "I know none of you did your assignments. I'll extend it until the end of the week. Now, let's begin lecture. We have a lot to go over today. Oh, and spooky, try not to lose your head too much. We'll be talking about wormholes."

Everyone laughed while Spooky grinned. "Sick."

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Rami and I leave school together and go to Silverstein, since we both intern there. First we went to a fast food restaurant and ate lunch. I us to In-N-Out, stayed there for about 30 minutes. Then, we made a quick stop at Rami's house so he can change in professional clothing, as well as my house to do the same, before getting to the research center.

When we arrived, we checked in the reception, with the receptionist Enoch. Once he saw us enter the door, he sighed in relief and grabbed my wrist. "Thank goodness you're finally here. Let's go."

He dragged me to the elevator, with Rami following behind. Enoch used his ID for the elevator scanner, which allows us to go down to the basement? "We're going to the basement why?"

Enoch said nothing and just anxiously tap the elevator wall with his fingers. As soon as it opened, I hear the familiar growling that send shivers down my spine. Enoch pushed me out and guided me further back to the basement, where the growling gets louder. The echoing growl is accompanied by several voices and screams of men, which gives me a pretty good idea of what I'll be coming on to.

"What the actual fuck is that? You guys hiding a monster here or what?" Rami questioned excitedly. "Don't tell me you guys have Bigfoot! That will be so sick! I'm going to tell my mom I -- OH MY GOD."

At the back of the basement, 17 is chained up against the wall, shirtless, blaring his sharp teeth, grey eyes glaring. He is surrounded by scientists and securities, just like when I first saw him.

"He keeps breaking out of his cage." Doctor Rai says, looking at me worriedly. "And only saying one thing. Andromeda."

I felt my face heat up and my heart race as all eyes are focused on me. "Why?"

"We don't know. But what we do know is that he is obviously fond of you."

I cautiously walked towards 17. The men on my way dramatically parted in half. Once I stopped in front of him, he took a sniff and his anger grew. His growl increased its volume and his glare became directed to me. I stepped back and hit someone behind me. Rami. The werewolf also growled at him, though it didn't seem to have any negative effect on Rami. If anything, Rami had looked pretty amazed.

"This is so fucking cool! A werewolf?!"

The boy fixed his glasses to get a better look at 17, grinning like a mad man.

A scientist scowled at Rami. "Who let this kid in here?"

Enoch, who was still standing at the very back of the group, gasped and grabbed on Rami's arm. "Sorry!" He squealed before dragging out the boy, who is now complaining about wanting to say and meet the werewolf.

Doctor Rai had everyone else leave except for Doctor Tarver and me. I've just discovered that they are the two main scientists for 17. The others are just their assistants.

"We need you to give this to him." Tarver handed me a few pills. "He needs to take it but won't because he's a stubborn dog."

I glared at the doctor. "What are they, exactly?"

"Antipsychotics."

I clenched the drugs on my hand and examined 17. He looks so worn out. He deserves better than this. They're treating him as if he's an animal. I mean, technically he is part dog, but still. Not even animals deserve to be treated like this. It's cruel.

"Here." I held up the pills at his mouth, but he didn't do anything. Just stare at me. "Am I suppose to put them in your mouth?" I grimaced. The werewolf raised a brow and his lips curved up the slightest, showing a hint of amusement. "Come on, open up." He did nothing but make me feel stupid and take all my patience. Grunting, I shuffled closer to him. "Just take it, will you? It's good for you."

Nope. Just more staring.

I spun around to the two scientists watching me. "Does he even understand English?"

Rai answered, "More or less. He doesn't speak very much. Only let out a few words to us. Mostly curse words."

I bit my lip to suppress a laughter.

Good boy.

I put my attention back to 17 and grew flustered as I caught his eyes on my lips. I cleared my throat and straightened up. I held the pills close to his mouth. "How about this. If you take these, we'll give you want you want."

In return, I received silence. At least, for a minute. Then, he spoke, for the first time I've heard him.

"You. Stay."

My face heated up again. I hid it by turning back around to Rai and Tarver, who nodded at me with encouragement. "I can't. I'm assigned to Doctor Maxine. I have to go to her -- " Before I could finish, I felt lips on my hand. I was caught off guard, gasping as all the pills disappeared from my hand and went to 17's mouth. He had swallowed it all at once.

"Now stay." He says with his deep, husky voice. My mouth was wide opened, not knowing what to say. He looks at me with mischievous spark in his eyes. With amusement and excitement, but still cold and empty at the same time.

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding. "I'll talk to Maxine and let her know you're with us." Tarver declared before leaving the area. Doctor Rai followed along. "I'm going to go upstairs and take care of a few things. I'll be back in a few. Don't go anywhere. If you need anything, there's a guard outside." And just like that, we were once again left alone.

Biting my lip anxiously, I sat on a desk facing 17. I swung my legs, my feet not touching the ground, as I observed the werewolf. I cannot stop staring at the tattoo by his arm. The same one that I have. "How did you get that tattoo?" I asked, pointing at it. He gave me no answer. I turned slightly and pulled down my long sleeve. "I have the same one." His eyes widened, but still said nothing. How does this not appall him?

I crossed my arms and legs while frowning at him. He wanted me to stay but he won't talk to me. He just wanted to stare at me? Okay then. "So you can't tell me anything about you? Like, what's your name? I'm sure your name isn't 17. What are you? You look like a Bob to me. Nope. Maybe Tom? Chris? Robert? Mark?" He cringed. "Aha! Your name is Jacob Black, isn't it?" He glared at me with annoyance. "Shit. If you're Jacob, there must be an Edward Cullen here somewhere. I was always Team Edward simply because he was in Harry Potter and I love Harry Potter. He was Cedric Diggory, but then he died so, yeah. Tragic. Just like my life because I'm babysitting a werewolf. I should be with Doctor Maxine, pulling some Professor Snape and making cool chemical stuff, researching about new possible creatures and living creatures. I could be eating, I could be sleeping, I could be -- "

"Who did you sleep with?!" I was rudely interrupted by his cold voice.

"Excuse me?!"

He clenched his jaw. "You have a strong scent on you that is not your scent." He looked absolutely furious and I don't know why.

"I didn't sleep with anyone." I replied sternly, not liking his tone.

"Liar." He growled, balling his fists.

I rolled my eyes and paced in front of him. His wrist and ankles are still chained up against the wall.

"Is that all you ever do? Growl?"

He growled even more.

"Oh, Jacob. You are so tiring to babysit." I sigh, picking up my bag that I had set down earlier when I arrived. Before going to Physics, I bought a lot of chocolate because I had some serious craving. I opened a bag of M&M'S and ate while the werewolf watches me. "Are you hungry?"

I wasn't expecting him to answer, but he did. And boy it made my heart race. "Very." He licks his lips as he gazes at me deeply. I quickly shoved a lot of M&MS in his mouth, not knowing what else to do or say. I watched his face go from hungry to confuse, then disgusted.

"What? You don't like it?"

"No."

My mouth dropped over dramatically. I put a hand over my heart. "Who doesn't like chocolate?! Unbelievable." I scoffed, taking a seat on a spinning chair. "I should be up there doing cool science stuff but I'm here babysitting a man who claims to be a werewolf." He gave me another frown. "You look just like any other male I've seen."

"Free me."

Well, at least he's speaking more. Sort of. "Yeah, no."

A few moments after that, Doctor Tarver returned. I had my feet up the desk, but quickly straightened up once he walked in. I could have sworn I heard a chuckle from 17, but it was probably my imagination. Wouldn't be the first time I imagine crazy stuff.

"Ever since yesterday, he refuse to cooperate with us. I mean, he always puts up a fight, but ever since he saw you, he won't even let us near him. Yet here you are. Not a scratch. Are you sure you're not a dog whisperer or something?" The old man paused to laugh at his own joke. Meanwhile, 17 and I shared a look of annoyance. "Anyway, how about you work with us? I do mean work. A job. Not as an intern. We need to make progress with this project and we haven't done much after a year. He seems to work with you, so it would really help if you're in the team. We will pay you."

I couldn't believe what I just heard. I am being offered a job. Here at the research center. Me. A job. Me working at Silverstein Research Center. Not just as an intern. But an actual job and I get money? Am I dreaming?! Is this another one of my imagination playing tricks on me? This is what I've always wanted and I got it after just a few days of internship? It's too good to be true. Then again, my job isn't actually related to actual biology, physics, chemistry kind of thing. I'm being hired to basically take care of a werewolf. I do need money and experience though. And a werewolf? This is a once in a lifetime kind of thing. You know what? Screw it.

"Okay."
