《Those Darn Sexy Kidnappers》Goodbye Store :(

The cool metal pressed against my forehead and everyone around us, including me, froze. This isn't how it's supposed to go.
He leaned down next to my ear and whispered, "Hey, sweetheart, what's up? I'll tell you what's up, I'm going to give you two options, ready?" He spoke with false enthusiasm. "Option one: You come with me willingly and no one gets hurt. Option two: you refuse, I shoot a couple people, and you still come with me, only this time unwillingly. What's it gonna be?"
"Hmmmm," I mused, "What's the third option?"
"CASSIE!" Kenzie shoved her chair back and shouted. Until then, the store-people had been staring at us in a shocked silence, but now people were starting to react, some trying to discreetly reach for their phones while others shot me encouraging looks.
"Get down!" The guy behind me barked. Everyone squatted except her. Lucy was kneeling with a look of pure terror on her face while Justin was dialing 911.
"Make me," Kenz stood her ground. But while I was proud of her for being so brave, I just wanted her to kneel so she didn't get hurt.
The guy smirked and released the safety of the gun. Only then did Kenz begrudgingly kneel, looking like she wanted to murder someone the entire time. I tapped the guy's arm.
"Hey Man, my arm is really uncomfortable when you're holding the gun like that," I said. An eye twitched before he adjusted his arm. With my newly freed arm, I quickly threw back my fist and punched him.
He cried out and while he was distracted I ripped myself away and dove for his gun. I latched into it, but he refused to let the fudging thing go.
"Gimme that gun!" I yelled, trying to wrestle it away from him.

"No!" He cried, yanking it back, "It's mine!"
"Not anymore!" I said and finally jerked it away from him. I sprang forward, but was interrupted by a muscular arm hooking around my waist and pulling me back. I went to point the gun at him, but he causally plucked it out of my grasp.
Kenzie tried to run to me but Justin held her back. We exchanged a look and I gave a weak smile, trying to reassure them when really, I was shaking in my flip flops. What rubbish was this?!
I struggled and struggled against him, but I'd have better luck against iron bars.
"Stop struggling!" He hissed between his teeth.
"Bite my a-"
He cut me off with a dark chuckle and a suggestive eyebrow wiggle.
I gave him a look of utter disbelief and he simply continued dragging me towards the door.
Outside, numerous police cars were pulling up, but none seemed to see us as the kidnapper hauled me over to a black van. The popo spilled out of their cars and rushed into the store.
"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" I shouted after them. The continued jogging. "HOW THE HECK DO YOU NOT SEE ME?!?!"
The guy opened the two back doors and roughly shoved me inside. I crashed against the floor as he slammed the doors and walked over to the wheel.
He started the car and began to drive away while I watched the store grow smaller and smaller until it disappeared completely.
Alone and terrified I peeled my gaze away from the window and leaned my back against it, tucking my knees under my chin. I took several deep calming breaths and focused on trying to stop my shaking. Oh my god. I just got kidnapped.
'Wow, no kidding." My brain responded and I told it to shut up.

The tension was unbearable and after a while I decided to break it, talking always calmed me down.
"Wow. You really know how to show a girl a good time."
There was pause before he answered, "I'm sorry about that. I wouldn't have actually hurt you."
I snorted, "Yeah, say that to gun you had aimed at my head three minutes ago."
He muttered something under his breath and I had an amazing idea.
I balled my hand into fist and punched the glass as hard as I could.
It didn't shatter.
"Ouch!" I shouted, cradling my fist.
"Fail," He smirked in the review mirror.
I shot him a glare. "No one asked for your life story."
He narrowed his eyes, in which I finally noticed that they were two different colors, a sky blue and a grass green, "Don't test me, sweetheart. I have another side that you do not wanna meet."
"I'm sure any side would be better than you."
He growled. Like some kind of creepy demonic animal.
I admit I was pushing it a bit, but when I got scared, I also got really, really angry and my sarcastic side was beginning to kick in.
"So, what's your name," He changed the subject, acting as if our previous conversation hadn't happened. I gave him a disbelieving look.
"Jeff," I drawled and he smiled.
"Nice to meet you Jeff!"
"Why did you kidnap me?" I asked and he frowned.
"Did you really expect me to answer that?"
I shrugged, "It was worth a shot."
"How are you doing?" He asked, his eyes holding a bit of concern.
I snorted again, "Oh, you know, just great. How are you?"
"I'm a little hungry, but overall pretty good," He replied. For a minute it was silent. "Why so quiet?"
I rolled my eyes. This guy just couldn't give it a rest. "Well no one plans a murder out loud."
The guy suddenly held out a blue bandana.
I eyed it suspiciously. "Gee...Thanks."
"It's the least I can do, put it on."
I held it up against my shirt and crinkled my nose. "I think it clashes with my flowers."
"Just put it on," He said. I sighed, my brain reminding me that he was the guy with the weapon, and I wrapped it around my eyes.

Ashes of the Primordial
With the upcoming shutdown of the servers for Ragnarok Games’ deep dive VRMMO, ‘Ashes of the Primordial’, the player log of those online for the final night was depressingly empty-looking. A revolutionary level of realism drove Ashes to the forefront of the games market, billions of players enjoying their journey to power and glory as an avatar of their own creation. The final enemy of the game-world defeated, the company announced, in line with their stance from launch, that they would be shutting down the game exactly six months after the defeat of Sutr, the final boss. Ammanas, the player responsible for Sutr's defeat, stays online until the end. However, as the countdown hits 0, the start-hub of his dive rig (what would typically greet a forced ejection from a game) was no where to be seen and instead darkness greets him as he fades into unconsciousness. Awakening to unfamiliar sights in an unfamiliar body, one which turns out to be a lot more familiar than he first thought, now he must figure out where, how, why and what to do with the new world he finds himself in. Author note: I don't own the cover, just something found through a google search. This is also my first story and the MC will basically be unimaginably OP yet never really utilising his full power. He just wants to find somewhere to fit in to the new world he finds himself in and despite both his nature as a loner and his interests he will find himself forming connections with the denizens of this new realm. Hope you enjoy
