"Right this way," Warren motions his arm inside his room, "Aria."

He says my name in this deep and sensual voice that it made me shiver . I hope I was able to mask it but something tells me that the smile he's wearing on his face says otherwise. On instinct I ran to a door that I assumed was the bathroom. I sigh out of relief that I chose the right door.

After I was done relieving myself I washed up and as I did that I looked at myself in the mirror and said quietly, "What have you gotten yourself into , Aria?"

When I finally got out of the bathroom I had shaken myself into a new resolve . That I will NOT let the Wells family get to me. I'm on a mission and I don't want to let Alex down . We were in it together.

"Feel better?" Warren asks as he's sitting on his bed scrolling through his phone .

I nod at him .

"It's been a long time Aria , 20 years . How did you manage to snag Alex? Are you pretending not to remember us?" His voice is serious with a lace of doubt.

Shock blanketed over my face which signals to Warren that I am , in fact, honest that I don't remember playing with them in my youth . He puts his phone down and gets off the bed , taking a step closer to me . His mere presence makes me nervous .

As he inches closer to me his face softens as his eyes scan me . He looks down , because all the Wells kids are so tall , Warren being the tallest at 6'4 , and he brushes a loose strand of hair off my face . Immediately my body responds to the slightest contact of his finger and the synapses fire all over me.

When he steps back I let out the breath I hadn't realized I was holding , "I wish I could remember my childhood. I vaguely remember you but that could be from the photos my mother showed me."

Warren looks at me again, looks at my lips and then exhales as he steps away , "I'm glad that you're back in our lives." Is all he says as he opens the door of his room and waits for me to walk out. As he guides me back down the hall I spot Alex.

An Alex with a furious look to his normally laid back face . I scrunch my face at him as if to ask if he's okay .

"I've been looking for you!" He says to me as if to scold me .

"I - " I hesitate , "I got lost," I finally admit. To which makes him relax .

"Don't worry little brother , I found her wandering down the hall and she happened to be near the closest one," his tone is unamused and back to being serious .

"Oh okay, I just missed you , that's all," Alex says as he grabs my hand to bring me to the drinking room , where everybody was at. Warren pulls out his phone and excuses himself as he makes a call .

"You can't be wandering off , alone, with my brother. It's not a good look for us," he says to me .

I shake his grip off of me , "I know and I wasn't trying to do anything . I really got lost and then he decided to help me . Of course that was right before he tried to accuse me of something," I say in irritation.

"What do you mean ?" He stops a few feet from the room.

"Let's talk about it later?" Thankfully he nodded in agreement.

The rest of the evening went smoothly and right before we left I got a chance to briefly talk to Trip . He was going to be at my office in the afternoon and I told that he's going to meet with a few people on my team, that meant he had to be on his best behavior .

As soon as we got back in Alex's car he began to hurl question after question at me. "So what happened with Warren? Was he being mean? I know he's intimidating but you can tell me."

"He said something about me taking my amnesia and finding a way of snatching you up," I answer.

"Why would you fake that ? It's a traumatic childhood event . I just can't believe I didn't recognize you when we met again."

I shrug , "I don't know but I am tired now."

"Well , thank you for being a good spot about this. My family is a little complicated, as you can see," he says .

And then I was reminded of his reaction to Penelope's name, "Is the woman you're in love with , Warren's ex?"

He froze , he probably didn't think I would connect it but he forgets what my profession is . Part of it was studying people , knowing sociology and being an expert in body language .

"Uh...." was all he can answer.

I chuckled, "You want to tell me what happened there?"

"How did you -?" He sounds confused.

"I have my ways. "

He glances over at me , "You are truly amazing Aria , how about we have dinner this weekend and we can talk more? I'll have you over at my place this time."

I think about it for a moment, making him wait nervously. And then I say , "Sure. There'll be a lot to talk about , especially after I meet with Trip tomorrow."

"That'll be fun, call me if you need help taming that dragon," he gives a light chuckle.

I laugh and we continue to talk about how well the dinner went and how excited his parents as well as his sisters are that we reconnected . We agreed that we need to come up with a plan for when the families eventually want a full on reunion . I think most everyone is on board except maybe Warren. I don't know why he is so against me while also it seems like he might be interested?

After Alex dropped me off , I had an impatient Sonja waiting for me by the door , "You guys look cozy! Okay, catch me up to speed!!!"

She kept interrupting me every time I mentioned something new and it was always going back to Alex and I. She is convinced that this will turn into something more, that was until I began telling her my encounter with Warren and his brooding . Then I explain the Penelope situation and ended with how I am now suppose to be on Trip.

"Wow, that's a lot to take in. And damn, Warren sounds hot! Is he better looking in person than his photos? Because I drool everytime they have his pictures up. And Trip," she fans herself, "the Wells have good looking genes that's for sure ."

"Well, settle back cowgirl . Things just got a bit more complicated now that we have families involved . At least I know I don't have to worry about Alex getting hung up on me," I say to her.

"Right, that allows you to explore a relationship with Warren," she looks at me.

Shaking my head , "I can't, it'll blow our cover for everything . Honestly, I don't think I need another straw in this messy pile."

"Sure, can you honestly sit there and tell me you're not the least bit attracted to Warren?" She challenges me .

"I didn't say that, things are just so complicated, " I resign.

"Then uncomplicate it . Maybe let Warren know that this thing between you and Alex isn't cracked up to what it seems, don't give it all away but feed him some kind of hope."

"But what if, he isn't interested in me like that?" I worry .

"Are you kidding me? Have you even looked in the mirror? I don't know if you realize how many guys drool after you ."

I scoffed at that statement, "Yeah right."

"I'm serious . You don't even know you're beautiful and that's what makes them even want you more!" She exclaims.

"I don't want to look like that kind of girl, fake relationship and all , I don't want them to think I'm some two timing hussy. I'm better than Dylan and Brittany ," I say to her.

She nods in understanding of my position, "Then don't. There's nothing wrong with being friends with your 'boyfriend's' family."

We end our evening with that thought still firmly stuck in the front of my mind . I suppose leaving the door open to being friends isn't such a bad idea . But why do I feel guilty?

Hello! I hope you are all enjoying the story . We have now reached a point where main characters have been introduced, especially characters that will form a love shape lol . There's more than 2 love interests so it's not a triangle.
