《Falling For His Nanny [Book #1]》Chapter 20

"You fucked her, didn't you?"
Sometimes I hate how well Everett can read me. It's become a super power of his. And an annoying one at that.
"Don't you have something more important you could be doing instead of meddling in my private life?"
"I saw the way you two looked at each other this morning. Even Declan could see it."
"And what exactly did you see?" I asked, curious to hear what he's discovered in the short span of minutes he was at my house dropping Declan off.
"You two horny maggots were giving each other the 'fuck me' eyes. Which means you two already went to pound town or you're on your way."
"You're right," I admit, taking a sip of the coffee my assistant brought me.
Everett shuts my office door, so no one can eavesdrop in our forbidden conversation.
"I love you man, but have you lost your damned mind!?"
"I can assure you that I've never been more sane."
"She's your nanny, Levi. She fucking works for you! The age difference isn't even the issue. Actually, I take that back. You're old! You're a fucking gray ball hair away from living in a nursing home!"
Dramatic much?
He's acting like we aren't the same age. I roll my eyes. Besides, I'm not old just older.
"You hired her to care for your son and now she's taking care of you as well. Are you going to pay her for that too, or is the sex just a bonus for having a hot nanny?"
"Watch your mouth," I snarl. "This isn't that at all."
"So what is it then? Because I am really trying to understand here, Levi." He sifts his fingers through his hair, pacing across the room like a stressed out father. "You have to think about Declan and what will be best for him."
I snapped. "All I've ever done is do what's best for him!" I abruptly stood to my feet, slamming my hands down on my desk. "I can't believe you would say something like that knowing all the shit I've been through!"
His eyes softened, an apologetic expression etching into his features. "I'm sorry. You know I didn't mean it like that."
I exhaled, forcing myself to calm down before I say something I regret and our friendship is damaged. We've been through way too much. Everett is not just my friend, he's my brother.
"I'm sorry." I sat back down in my chair with a sigh. "I promise I'm thinking about Declan. You don't know how careful I've been."
"I'm just trying to understand, Levi. Is it love? Or is it just sexual attraction?"

"I don't know. I'm still trying to figure that out."
"Please be careful. Not just for the sake of Declan and Laurel's heart, but yours especially. Don't forget about your heart."
****
"Hi buddy!" Declan's giggles fill the air as he leaps into my arms. Kissing his cheek, he wraps his arms around my neck and lays his head on my chest.
Walking over to the couch where Laurel is sitting, I sit down with Declan still in my arms.
"How did he do at school today?"
I'm trying to focus on what she's saying, but all I keep thinking about are her lips and how they were just around my cock.
I think about her slender fingers and the way they gently touched me. I think about how her nails dug into my flesh when she was riding me. And I think about how I want to experience that again.
"Levi, are you listening to me?"
"Hm?" I blinked at her, bringing my gaze from her mouth back up to her eyes. "Yeah," I lied.
"You're not a very good liar, you know that?"
"Mhm," I replied, my attention back on her lips. Only this time I had the urge to kiss her.
"Levi, focus."
Hearing the way my name leaves her soft, kissable lips doesn't help the situation either.
"I'm trying."
"There's something I need to show you."
Making note of the serious expression on her face, I push the filthy thoughts of our time together in the limo to the back of my mind.
I watch her go into the kitchen to grab what looks like another one of Declan's drawings, before taking a seat back on the couch.
She hands me the drawing and I stare down at it. I'm not even sure what I'm looking at. Usually I can decipher Declan's drawings, but this one isn't like his usual drawings of us as a family, or his drawings of animals and cars.
I narrow my eyes, staring harder at the drawing. When I realize it's a person with a bunch of scribbles all over it, I point to the person and ask, "is this you, bud?"
He shakes his head. I don't see his muteness as a disability, but at times it can be difficult to communicate with him. I can only use yes or no questions, and because he's so young I have to make sure I'm speaking to him in a way a four year old can understand.
"Is this me?" He shakes his head again. "Is this Laurel?" He gives me another shake of his head, so I change up my question. "Who is this?"

I'm not expecting him to use his voice, but I am hoping that he'll find some way to communicate what he's trying to say to us.
Hopping off my lap, he runs upstairs. Laurel and I share a nervous glance, not sure where this is going as we follow him upstairs.
We thought he'd be in his room, but instead he's in mine, pulling the shoebox I've kept hidden from him out from under my bed.
"Declan-"
Laurel grabs my forearm. "Wait."
We watch Declan in silence as he removes the lid and pulls out the wedding photo of me and his mother. He then points to the picture of his mother, my heart rate increasing and my body stiffening.
I swallow the lump in my throat. I haven't looked in that shoebox in awhile. We looked so happy then.
Anger surges through me as I snatch the picture along with the shoebox out of his hands and dump it in the trashcan near my dresser.
Declan starts to cry, Laurel frowning at me as she kneels down to embrace my upset son. "It's okay Declan." Wiping his tears, she escorts him out of my room.
When she returns ten minutes later, she sits down on the edge of my bed. "We need to call the police."
"I'm not calling anybody, because Declan is not seeing Natalie."
"It would explain all the nightmares and why he acted the way he did the other day."
"So you're telling me that he's been seeing her?"
"I know it sounds crazy but-"
"It's sounds crazy as hell!" I interrupt, attempting and failing to keep myself calm so I don't begin to hyperventilate.
Panting, I clasp my chest, feeling my airways begin to close and my vision to blur. I thought I was going to black out in a second, before I felt Laurel's hands on my face.
"Levi, look at me," she urges, concern flashing in her eyes.
My heart beats loudly in my ears, the sound like a drum as it drowns out Laurel's worried voice.
"I can't- I can't breathe."
Pulling the scrunchie off my wrist, she shoves it up against my nose, demanding me to breathe.
Inhaling deeply, her fresh, flowery scent snaps me out of my panic attack. Breathing heavily, she sighs with relief.
Though relieved, her eyes are wide in astonishment. I think this was her first time really seeing just how obsessed I am of her.
I already know just how unhealthy my obsession is. Everett's made it his mission to remind me at every waking moment.
But I can't help it. I crave her like the air I breath. And without it, I just may die. I shake my head at my outrageous way of thinking.
Who's being the dramatic one now?
"It's late," Laurel says with a yawn, putting the scrunchie back on my wrist before getting into bed. "So this Natalie situation is just going to have to wait until tomorrow."
Making herself comfortable in my bed, she releases another yawn. Pulling off my shirt, her cheeks turn pink. "W-Wait, what are you doing? Put your shirt back on."
"But I always sleep with my shirt off."
"Yes, but this is different." She bites her lip and blood immediately rushes to the head of my dick.
I raised a brow, eyeing her pajama set. She's wearing a pink long sleeved shirt and baggy gray pajama pants. "Is that why you've started covering up around me? Because we fucked in my limo?"
She slowly nods her head, biting her lip again. I simply chuckle, amused by her adorable behavior.
Climbing into bed, I place my hands on either side of her, staring deeply in to her eyes. "Even if you pile on a hundred layers of clothes, it won't stop me from wanting you." I lean in, capturing her lip in between my lips and sucking lightly.
She turns the other cheek, her face more red than pink now. "Everett saw us today."
"He already knows."
She meets my eyes again, only she's looking at me with a surprised expression on her pretty face. "What? I didn't think we were that obvious. Gosh, who else knows?"
"Besides your friend? My driver." Her face heats up from embarrassment at knowing Victor heard us. "You were pretty loud, darling."
"Well why didn't you put your hand over my mouth, or tell me to be quiet?"
"Because I like hearing what kind of beautiful sounds I can draw out of you."
Using all her strength, she shoves me off the bed. Hitting the floor with a thud, a grunt is punched out of me.
She peeks over the bed, and of course she's back to biting that lip. "Oh shit. I'm sorry."
"You're not sorry. Because if you were you'd stop biting your lip."
"I can't help it. You make me nervous."
"And what exactly do you think you do to me?"
Her eyes trail down my chest and stop at my pants. I'm still hard as a rock, which is now made obvious to her. Not that I was trying to hide it anyway.
"Come here," I demand, motioning her to join me on the floor with my index finger.
"We can't. Declan will hear us."
"I guess you're going to have to be quieter then."
"But-"
"No buts, unless your putting it in my face. Now be a good girl and come to daddy."
