"Those two dresses too!" I yell as Hayley places the dresses in their plastic covers. Tonight is my fashion show for my new line. I was nervous but so excited. This wasn't my first fashion show, but it still made me nervous as hell.

"Sophia you're shaking again." Myra says as she places her coffee cup on the table. Am I? I look at my hands and sure enough I'm a bit shaky.

"I'll be fine." I sigh, ticking off the last box in my to-do list.

"Have you been eating?" she asks and I nod.

"Drinking enough water?" I nod again.

"Taking vitamins?"

"I thought Jace was the doctor, not you." She rolls her eyes, throwing a gronala bar at me. Which I quickly unwrap and eat, I'm hungry okay?

"Hey, beautiful idiots." Jace walks into my office.

"Hi, Jacey." I smile at him.

"Hey, jackass," Myra says and I roll my eyes because they're gonna start bickering again.

"It's not even half ten Myra, shut the fuck up." he pushes the bouquet of flowers to me and plops down on my chair.

"Get your ass up Jace." I glare at him. He puts and I let it slide and walk over to the chair next to Myra's.

"Thank you for the flowers that you so kindly threw at me." I rest the bouquet on the glass desk.

"What's wrong?" Amyra and I ask him at the same time.

He rolls his eyes and throw his jacket over his face.

"Jacey, what's wrong?" I ask him, getting up to lift the jacket over his face, but he groans pulling the material over his face.

"Boy you better start talking or I'm going to beat you with that bloody jacket." Amyra says and I chuckle but he removes the jacket and glare at us.

"I feel like Kiara is hiding something from me." he mumbles looking at my ceiling.

"Let me get my slipper we're gonna beat the fuck out-" She stops when I throw my to-do list at her.

"Find, we'll do this Soph's way. But if it fails, I'm throwing hands!" She says and there isn't a hint of tease in it. Jacey is always there for us, like the time Amyra's prom date ditched her, so he walked in with her.

"Why do you think she's hiding something from you?" she asks and we look at him for a answer.

"She's always calling this number, and acting really suspicious." he says and you can hear how exhausted he is.

"Have you been honest and asked her about it?" I ask him and he nods.

"She just shrugs it off." Poor Jacey.

"Well, you're a doctor that make millions in a week, hire a FBI agent or something." Myra sayas and we look at her like 'Really?'

"What? Desperate times call for desperate measure yeah?"

"She's fucking insane." Jace says.

"She's Amyra Singh, isn't that obvious?" I ask him and he sighs throwing his jacket over his face.

"Alright, I have to go, Jace I hope your girl problems are solved, and you." she points at me and I feel like my mom just caught me skipping school.

"Don't be nervous! Your line is amazing, everyone will love the show." she says grabbing her stuff and makes her way to the door.

"See you two later." she yells walking out.

"Bye Myra!" I yell.

"I hope a bee stings you Myra!" Jace yells as Myra raises her middle finger behind her.

I turn to the slightly depressed man in my chair.

"Jacey."

"Hm?"

"Go talk to her again." he takes the jacket off his face and stands up from my chair.

"Alright Soph. Thanks for the advice, I'll send Myra dead flowers to appreciate my gratitude." I laugh, but then I realize he's serious.

"You're gonna do great tonight! Bye Soph." he says walking out my door.

I miss Axton.

I pick my phone up and quickly call him. But I'm met with his voicemail. Ouch.

My door opens and Hayley walks in.

"Sophia, everything is set for the show tonight," I nod, still missing Axton.

"I'm gonna head home, see you tonight Hayley." I flash her a small smile as I walk out my office and into the elevator.

As I'm taken down the floors, I think about tonight, I'm so nervous but excited. What if they hate the dresses? But what if they love it? Okay I need to stop thinking. I clear my mind as I walk out the elevator and through the glass doors. I step out into the warm streets of New York. A loud crowd of chatter runs through the air.

"Sophia, are you nervous for the show tonight?"

"Sophia, is it true Piper Fallon will be attending your show tonight?"

"Your father was spotted being transported to a different jail. When last have you spoken to him?"

"Sophia over here!"

"Sophia you look amazing, you look happy!" I smile at the cameras, even though I'm trying to make my way to my car.

"Be careful!" I try, to yell at one of the reporters, she's standing really close to the busy streets.

"Sophia over here!"

"Sophia, flash that smile!" What is this a toothpaste commercial?

"Sophia over here-" her words are softend as I close the door to my car. I let out a breathe I didn't even realize I was holding.

"They're getting pretty crazy Sophia." Marty say and I nod.

" A little too crazy." I mumble as he pulls away from my building.

After a while, we stop in front of my building, and I get out, good lord there's even more here.

"Sophia!"

"Over here!"

"Did you hear Trey wrote a song about you?" Yikes. I heard that, turns out he did write a song. I'm not sure if it's for me or not.

"Sophia, please tell us who the main model is tonight!"

"Sarah Gremaldi." I smile at the cameras.

"One more question!"

"Sophia one more answer please!"

I quickly rush into the building, escaping their yells and questions.

"Paparazzi is sure as hell bold." the girl at the front desk says and I chuckle.

"Yup." I smile, waiting for the elevator. In less than ten seconds I'm in and being taken to my floor.

I'm freaking starving! I feel like cuddling on the couch with Axton, and reading all day long! I step out the elevator, but my door is open, wide open. Is Axton home early?

I walk up and stand in front of my apartment.

A blood-curling scream escapes from me. I'm frozen on the spot. Tears flow down my cheeks.

I look at my lifeless mother on the floor, a slit through her throat.

"M-mom?" I stutter, somehow my legs walk away from the doorframe and I run to the elevator. I quickly take my phone out, loosing control of my breathe. The entire room is dark and spinning. I press on the screen, activating my emergency mode, which instantly calls Axton. I couldn't focus to find his number.

He picks up on the second ring.

"I'm busy I'll call-" I try not to let my sobs break through, hearing his words. But it's too late.

"What's wrong love?" I lose control of my breathing.

"Alright baby, where are you?"

"My-my apartment." I stutter.

"I'm on my way. Focus on your breathing, I'm right here with you," he says and I try so damn hard to calm down.
