"No, I'm sorry these are the wrong candles." I sigh looking at the shiny white candles.

"I'm sorry ma'am. What color should I get?" The decoration coordinator asks me and I quickly grab my phone to call Piper.

"Hello?" she answers in a snappy tone.

"Hey, is it okay if we switch the candles for the dinner tonight?" I ask her hoping she'll spare the coordinator and myself some time.

"What? No! Angel white, nothing else!"She yells into my ears and I roll my eyes.

I don't even bother replying. I just hang up and turn to the coordinator.

"I'm sorry, these won't work for the bride."

"That's okay Mrs. Rivera. I know Mrs. Fallon is picky." You mean bitchy.

"She is." I chuckle.

"I'll get the other ones." I nod dismissing her.

"Coffee, a hot lawyer, and two assholes are here." I hear Myra's voice. I turn around to see her walking in, with coffee in her hands. Behind her, two devilishly handsome men.

"Hey guys." I walk up to them.

"Reportes from your accident." Axton smacks my face with a file of papers.

"Asshole." I mumble and his eyes meet mine.

It's been a week since the whole gun training thing, and I would mention the number of times I replayed the scene in my head but I lost count. It was constantly on my mind. During meetings, before I went to bed when I woke up. Fuck.

"Sophia!" I turn my attention back to him.

"Hm?" I ask him, clueless to what he was saying.

"I asked if you wanna get lunch after you're done doing this." he scowls pointing to his wedding rehearsal dinner.

"Uh, this." I motion to where several employees were making arrangments for the dinner tonight.

"Is for you." He rolls his eyes.

"Sophia, lunch or no?" He can be so stupid.

"I don't know." I say looking away from him. I was already stressed because planning this wedding has been a pain in the ass, especially since Piper was probably the worst bride ever.

"Oh come on," he says disappointed. Well if you keep being an ass I'm not going anywhere.

"Soph." he says and I walk over to the table, which was strictly labeled to be 'Decorated according to my taste,' words of Piper Fallon McKay.

That name doesn't fit well.

"I'm sorry, it's coming along really well. Proud of you." he says, walking behind me.

"Do you really mean that?" I ask him and he rolls his eyes.

Asshole.

"Of course I do, look at this place, it went from being a boring ass room to this really uh, nice room?" he says and I raise an eyebrow.

"You're really bad at this appraising people thing." I mumble.

"Well, that's cause no one's ever good enough to get my appraisal, but you are."

Don't you dare smile Sophia. Don't you do it.

I drop the clipboard on the table.

"Fine. Let's go." I say and he grins as I grab my purse from the table.

"I'm leaving, you guys take a break, get something to eat, and finish your parts, I'll be back soon," I tell the people decorating and moving stuff around. They all nod as I walk out of the hotel.

"Remember kids, use protection!" Myra yells and I roll my eyes.

The wedding dinner was tonight, basically an extra event for all the close family and friends of the bride and groom. The wedding was in two days.

I was permanently losing him in two days.

No more holding hands just to 'protect me' from the paparazzi. He'd have a wife so that wouldn't be okay. Even if his intentions were truly being a good best friend.

"I like when you boss people around." He smirks and I roll my eyes.

"Shut up Axton."

"Okay mommy." I glare at him and he laughs.

Not the time for your cute laugh.

We walk to his car and he opens the car door for me.

"Thank you." I smile at him, but he just keeps looking at me.

"What?" I ask him chuckling.

"Soph..."

"What?" I ask him and he walks up closing the space between us.

"What's wrong?" I ask him, his hand reaches to my cheek and he passes his thumb over my cheek. His touch sets my body on fire. His eyes drown in mine.

"I can't keep doing this." he mumbles in a low whisper.

Do what?

"Do what?" I ask him.

"I lov- fuck. Never mind." his hand drops from my cheek and I miss his warm touch, even though the summer sun is shining above us. He walks to his side of the car.

"Axton-" he cuts me off.

"Open the file with the papers concerning your accident." he says and I hesitate.

"Okay." I mumble.

"It says that each one of his men were paid a little below a million dollars for the job," I say kind of shocked.

I look up to Axton and his face is clueless.

"Is that a lot of money?" he asks me and my jaw drops.

"Jesus." I mumble.

"For normal people yes Axton!" I yell at him.

"Oh." is all he says. Is this man serious?

"You're crazy." I say.

"Only for you princess." I look away trying not to smile.

My phone rings and I pick it up.

"Hey Hayley." I answer the call, I feel Axton's gaze on me. But I look the other way until he reaches across and pulls the seatbelt over my body.

Shit.

I give him a small smile and he throws a straw wrapper at me. Asshole.

"Soph?" Oops.

"Yeah, I'm listening," I tell her, lying.

"Axton's suit has been sent to McKay Mansion. Piper's dress has been packaged for Saturday." She tells me and my stomach holds a feeling of hurt and anxiety.

"Okay thank you, Hayley, what about my dress?" I ask and she literally squeals.

"Sophia I love it! It'll be sent to your apartment." It's a nice dress, too bad I'll probably burn it after wearing it.

"Okay, Hayley. See you later." I tell her hanging up.

"You okay?" he asks me and I nod.

"Your suit for tonight was sent to your house and everything's set for Saturday. Are you excited?" I ask him, not really wanting to hear his answer.

"You have no idea." I turn to him, flashing him a smile.

"Soph, um, will you like to give a speech?" And breakdown on live television? No thank you.

"Uh-"

"My mom really wants you to, but if you don't want to it's okay. You don't have to do anything you don't want to."

"I'll think about it." I smile at him. He'll probably never get an answer.

"Sophia sit still babe!" Clair says as she applies my make-up.

"I'm sorry," I tell her. I was nervous, what if I break down in front of everyone?

"All done! Go get your dress on!" she encourages me and I smile at her.

"I'm excited for this one." she winks at me.

I laugh walking into my bathroom.

I look into the mirror and I instantly cry. I'm in love with my best friend and he's getting married. It sinks down, I'll never kiss him again. I'll never feel his lips on mines again.

"Crap my make-up." I try to stop crying. My phone rings and I look over to see Myra's name flash across the screen.

"Hey Myra." I try to sound as normal as possible. After all, Axton was her friend too and this was his wedding dinner, I wasn't about to ruin it for her.

"Hi Soph, I called to check in on you. I know tonight will be harder for you than Eleanor." she chuckles and I laugh.

"I'm losing him, Myra," I say, tears threatening to fall out my eyes.

"No babe! You are not crying tonight. Sophia, I promise you, if it's meant for you, it'll work out, in its own way. I know it's hard right now, hang in there okay?" Amyra always knew how to get me through mental breakdowns. She's saved me so many times.

"Okay. I got this." I take in a deep breath.

"I'm gonna change, then I'll meet you and everyone at the hotel." I tell her, fixing my hair.

"Alright Soph, I love you okay?" she says and I smile as if she can see me.

"I love you too Myra, Thank you."

"See you." We end our call and I slip out my silk robe, and into my bronze shimmery gown. It's perfect. Fits well and it's comfortable.

"Okay Sophia, let's see that dress." Clair says and I walk out the room, doing a little twirl for her.

"Oh my Fucking God! Sophia this is stunning!" she gasps and I chuckle.

"Thank you." I laugh. I look at the time on my phone and I'm late. Great.

"Claire, I'm really late! I'll see you Saturday. Thank you, you did an amazing job!" I tell her.

"Wasn't much to do but the money you give me is worth it." she winks as we walk into the elevator.

A few minutes later, I was walking out the doors of my building. Surrounded by security as lights from cameras blind me.

"Sophia you look amazing!"

"Sophia, any word from your dad?"

"Sophia, how was it planning your best friends wedding?"

"Sophia that dress!"

"Sophia over here!"

"Here!"

"Sophia!"

"Answer us!"

"Are you and Trey on good terms?"

"Sophia!"

"Sophia!" This was a lot of paparazzi.

Well it's Axton's wedding dinner,makes sense.

I finally make it to my car.

"Sophia, you look lovely dear." Marty tells me.

"Thank you." I smile as we pull away from my building.
