One week.

It's been one week since Axton and I kissed. It has been so fucking awkward, you can cut the tension with a knife.

After he kissed me, with his lips, very, soft, addicting, lips. Shit focus.

After he kissed me, I literally flee. Like quicker than the memes about Kim Kardashian at the Met this year. I walked out his room and we saw each other that night at the award show, and we both acted like it never happened, or at least we tried. No one knows, okay I think Jace and Myra know something is up. Every time we met after that we just said hey and that was it. I hate it.

What if the kiss meant nothing to him?

What if Piper finds out?

Is this considered homewrecking?

Fuck I'm a home wrecker.

No no, I don't want to be a home wrecker! They aren't married so it doesn't count right?

Do you hear yourself Sophia!?? Of course it counts.

If they had kids they'd be hurt.

But they don't have kids..

God, I need to do something to get my mind off this.

My phone rings.

"You work pretty fast." I look up.

"Hello?" I answer the call, unsure of the caller I.D. because I'm dumb and forgot to check.

"Hey Sophia, a lot of mail for you downstairs." The receptionist tells me and I reply hanging up.

"Let's go get mail," I mumble, closing my door and walking into the elevator.

The elevator takes me down the floors and my mind goes back to the situation I'm avoiding.

What if the kiss meant everything to him, like it did to me.

Oh please, he's getting married for God's sake!

I sigh pulling my sweatshirt sleeve over my fist, no one else does it? Oh okay.

The elevator doors open and I step out into the fairly crowded lobby.

"Hey Soph."

"Here's your mail." the receptionist hands me a pile of letters, and two huge boxes.

"Thank you." I smile, walking into the elevator with my hands filled.

How am I supposed to hit my floor? You're real smart Sophia.

"Here, let me get that for you." A familiar voice flows through the air. I lift my gaze and it drops onto Kira.

"Hey Kira, what are you doing here?" I ask her.

"Well, I live here now," she says hitting my floor. How does she know what floor I'm on?

"I'm on the same floor, Jace told me you're two doors down from me," she says.

"Ohh," I say chuckling, how did I miss that?

"Yeah, sorry I didn't get a chance to tell you."

"Oh, no worries. How do you like it so far?" I ask her, gripping the boxes tighter.

"It's great! I really like the spa." she says and I chuckle laughing.

"It's my escape in life." I tell her and she laughs.

The doors open and we step out.

"Thanks for the help, what are you doing tonight?" I ask her.

"Nothing at all, Jace and Axton are doing some boxing game thingy that I don't want to watch." she says and I laugh.

"How about dinner at mines?" I ask her.

"Okay sure." she smiles, I love making people smile!

"Okay great, see you." I tell her opening my door and resting the boxes on the floor.

I scan through the letter, but my eyes fall on only one thing.

The wedding invitation.

Don't cry. Don't cry. Do not cry, Sophia.

A tear runs down my cheek.

"Since when do I cry over boys?" I mumble, wiping the tear away but another flows right down.

I open the invitation and read through it.

I notice the fonts and address is wrong, Piper is going to have a huge problem with this.

I pick my phone up, about to call Eleanor but Piper is already calling me.

"Sophia, fix that fucking card right now!" she yells.

"Lower your damn voice." I mumble, putting my phone on loudspeaker. I see a notification from Instagram, I open the app to see a picture of Axton kissing Piper's cheek while holding the wedding invitation.

Fuck the tears fall again.

"Sophia!" This bitch isn't helping.

"I'll get it fixed, but I'll have to get to McKay mansion so the printer can come over and make the change. Meet you there." I tell her, hanging up. More tears, I hate this!

I call Marty telling him to get here as quick as possible.

Walking into my closet Amyra calls me.

" 'To celebrate the love of two hearts' my ass." she mumbles and I chuckle,

"Ha- Ha very funny, did you see the mistake though?" I ask her.

"No, I didn't read the fucking card." she says and I laugh.

"Of course you didn't."

"What are you doing tonight?" She asks me as I search my clothing for an outfit.

"Dinner with Kira, wanna join?" I mumble grabbing grey plaid pants, a white sweater, and a black body bag.

"Kira? You mean with Jace?"

"No, she moved into my building so I thought why not invite her over." I say changing.

"Oh, well I would join, but Liam hasn't seen Priyanka Chporas' Bollywood movies, so we're watching them tonight." I gasp.

"Without me Myra?" I pout.

"Oh please, I've had you watch them at least a hundred times." Okay true.

"Well, have fun." I tell her.

"You two Soph, I love you bye!"

"I hope Liam heard that, I love you too bye!" I tell her hanging up.

"Okay, let's go fix this," I mumble walking out of my room and straight out the door.

"Hey Soph." I see Jace.

"Hi Jacey, going to see Kira?" I ask him and he nods.

"Let me guess, you're gonna fix the venue on that invitation?"

"Mhm." I chuckle and he rolls his brown eyes.

"Don't bother correcting it, not like anyone's going to show up."

"Shut up." I mumble walking into the elevator and he throws a rose at me from the bouquet in his hand.

"You can use thorns against Piper!" he yells and I roll my eyes trying not to laugh.

"Jace take the rose!" I yell but the elevator doors close.

"Idiot." I mumble.

---

"Okay, that's all." I tell the printer and she nods.

"Will have the changes made." I smile as she walks away.

"Hey." Axton walks up to me.

"Hey." I say, looking at the floor.

"Can we talk?" he asks and I nod looking at him.

His eyes meet mines and he searches my eyes for God knows what.

"Why have you been crying?" He knows me, better than me.

"I uh," Think Sophia.

"I watched the Notebook again." I say but he shakes his head.

"Nice try, what's wrong."

"It's just my mom." I say to him and he nods, it wasn't totally a lie.

"You wanted to talk.." I mumble.

"About the kiss." he says and I but in.

"Yeah, it meant nothing, I don't have any type of feelings for you." I lie to him. His eyes soften.

"Oh, uh, yeah same." he says and I take in a breathe to not cry.

"G-great." I mumble.

"I- I'm happy for you and Piper," I mumble, I'm so close to crying, I can feel the tears at the brim of my eyes.

"Soph, is there-" Eleanor walks up to us and I quickly look away.

"Sophia what's wrong?"

"Tears of happiness, I can't belive Axton is getting married!" I tell her and hugs me.

"It's okay Sophia." she hugs me tighter and I try not to cry.

"Uh, I have to get going." I mumble, walking out of the house.

He doesn't like me.

He's getting married, of course he doesn't!

"Home." I mumble before Marty can ask.

He nods pulling out the drive way and onto the busy streets of New York.

I have to let him go.

But I can't.

---

My door knocks and I open it to see Kira. My eyes fall to the necklace on her neck.

"Hey!" I smile.

"Hi." she says walking in.

"Nice necklace." I compliment her, but I know that necklace. It's really familiar.

"Dinner's almost ready." I smile as she sits.
