I turn to Axton, for some reason I feel obligated to explain this to him out of everyone.

"It's not-" I begin but he stops me.

"That's why you didn't drink the wine." he mumbles, eyes holding a clear expression of being hurt. Why's he so hurt?

"What? No!"

"Hope I get an invitation to the fucking baby shower." he mumbles, walking to the door. I run after him.

"It's not Trey's child!" What the hell am I saying.

"Then who's child is it?" My mom grabs my hand, stopping me from running after Axton.

"There is no child! What the fuck?" I yell. I don't curse that often, but this situation is screwed up.

"Language!" My mother yells and I feel like knocking her over with my purse. Is she fucking mad?

"You just lied about me being pregnant!"

" I didn't lie!" she yells back and I get that feeling of deja vu, shouting at her as she shouts back. This was how every conversation went with her at a time. Only yelling, nothing else.

"Would you two stop yelling?" Shyla yells and it hits me.

She told mom I'm pregnant to cover for her.

"Sophia, you're not ready for a child." I fold my arms, staring at Shyla, more like glaring.

"I know." I say.

"You're not keeping it." I'm not pregnant but if I was, does she really think I'll listen to her bullshit about the media.

"That's not your choice to make, mother." I walk towards the stairs.

"I am your mother, of course, I have a choice here, where are you going?"

"Shyla, we need to talk," I tell her as I walk up to my room. I take my phone out calling Axton but he doesn't answer me. He thinks I'm freaking pregnant.

"Axton, call me back, I swear it's not what you think, I'm not pregnant," I say into the phone, hoping he listens to my voicemail.

"I'm sorry Soph." Shyla walks in, closing the door.

"Mom saw the test and I was scared to tell her that it's mine, so I used you as my cover, I'm sorry. I know you're probably disappointed in me, I'm pregnant and it's going to affect my career." She says through sobs.

"Mom's going to make this so much worse." she full-on breaks down and I pull her into a hug.

"I'm not disappointed in you Shyla, and don't worry about your career, you have to worry about your health. As for mom, she's going to have to understand, but I promise you, you're not alone, I'm going to be here with you throughout this entire journey, I'll support you in any decision you need. I promise, remember we're sisters. I'm your older sister too, so if adopting you is what we're going to have to do, then pack your bags!" I tell her and she chuckles.

"Also, Trey? Really?" I cringe and she laughs, through her tears.

"I'm sorry, if I had said Axton, mom would probably call Eleanor since they tell each other everything."

"Yeah, you're right." I shake my head. My ringtone flows through the air and I grab my phone,hoping its New York's most handsome billionaire, but it wasn't. It was New York's youngest selfmade lawyer.

"Hey Myra."

"You're fucking pregnant and didn't tell me?" She yells through the phone.

"No mummy. But who told you that?"

"You're not? I'm going to kick Wesley's ass at the party tonight." she says, and I hear papers shuffling in the background.

"Axton probably told Jace, but nope, no baby in me." I chuckle.

"Then where's this from?"

"Shyla's pregnant and used me as her cover," I explain and she gasps.

"Shyla's pregnant? Oh my God, I'm about to be an aunt!" she yells and Shyla laughs.

"Okay, I have to go, but I'll see you at your mom's party tonight right?" She asks me and I hum in response.

"Okay, bye." she hangs up and I stand up from my bed.

"Alright, I have to go to Axton's office, I'll see you tonight okay?" I tell her and pull her into a hug.

"Soph, can you go with me to the doctors tomorrow?" she asks, I can see the nervousness.

"Of course. I'll pick you up okay?" I tell her and she nods. I walk out my old room, into the halls where I'm met by a very happy Sebastian, makes sense, Amanda is with him.

"Hi love birds." I chuckle.

"Hey Sophia." Amanda greets me.

"Hi mummy to be." Sebastian smirks and I glare at him.

"You don't belive that do you?"

"Nope, that's how single you are."

"You're an asshole." I mumble.

"I'll see you two at the party tonight?" They nod and I smile walking away.

"I'll be quick Marty." I tell the kind man as I step out the car and into McKay industries. As I step in, I feel the tension, everyone's rushing and chatting, as if they're panicking?

"Uh, hi Lisa." I walk up to Axton's employee.

"Sophia! Hi, we're kind of in a rush, Axton's being a bigger asshole today, not sure why but we're under a lot of stress. " she says, barely looking at me as she types away.

"Oh, can I go up?" I ask and she nods.

"Lisa, I'm heading out for lunch!" another employee yells and Lisa's eyes snap in realization.

"I didn't have lunch." she mumbles and I frown, pulling a granola bar out my purse.

"Eat something after you're done." I tell her passing her the granola bar.

"Thank you Sophia, you're such an angel."

"A pregnant one." I hear Axton's voice and I glare at him.

"Oh my God!" she yells.

"I'm not pregnant!" I yell before she can say anything.

"Oh." she sits back down in her seat and I turn to the asshole next to me.

"We need to talk," I tell him and he totally ignores me.

"Axton!" Nothing.

"Shyla's pregnant and used me as her cover when my mom found the test." I tell him and he turns to me.

"Oh."

"I'm sorry," he mumbles.

"Fuck. I'm sorry Soph." Idiot.

"Save it," I mumble to him.

"How can I make it up to you?" he asks, running his hands through his soft hair.

"Let these lovely people go home." I scan the very busy office.

Without thinking he starts yelling.

"Everyone can leave! Take the rest of the evening off!" he yells and they stare at him in disbelief.

"Well, go on, leave." he mumbles and they start clearing their desks.

"Sophia, you're a hero." Lisa tells me and I chuckle.

"Am I forgiven?" he asks and I smirk.

"Not quite," I reply.
