Amyra's gaze immediately meets mines. She is the only one that knows my feelings for Axton. My mind still couldn't grasp the fact that he was getting married. I'm pretty sure Jace and Amyra felt the same way.

"You're what?" Jace asks him, laughing. He laughs for everything.

"I'm getting married." He speaks, stern and flat. To who?

"To who?" Jace and I ask at the same time.

"Piper."

"As in Piper Fallon!?" we all ask, in utter shock. She was a bitch. Total bitch.Rude to everyone, paparazzi, fans, friends, sorry minions.

"You're getting married to the wicked witch of the west?" Amyra asks.

"Yup. It was arranged by my dad." his jaw clenches. So does that mean he wasn't willingly marrying her?

"So do you want to marry her?" I ask.

"Of course he wants to. Why would he propose to someone that he doesn't want to marry Sophia?" The deep voice of Denzell McKay flowed through the air. Axton's dad was brutal. He forced Axton to take over his business when he was just nineteen. He drained him emotionally and physically. He wasn't much of a father and it hurts my heart to think about the way Axton was robbed his teenage years. Instead of enjoying his last years of College with friends and going out, living life. He had business deals, papers, folders, and everything business thrown at him. It was a dark time for him. He pushed everyone away, including me. But eventually, we pulled him out of his dark phase, not fully but not as bad as he was. I break away from my thoughts and realize I need to reply to this ruthless man.

"Right. Congratulations!" I stand up walking towards him. I pull him into a hug. Secretly my heart was shattered. I was in love with him. But there wasn't anything I could do.

"Thank you." he hugs me back. Tears threaten to fall from my eyes.

"Well, Axton's getting married!" Jace yells, pulling him into one of those bro hugs.

Amyra's hand grabs my shoulder.

"Sophia are you okay?" she asks, worry clear as ice in her eyes.

"I'm fine Myra." I give her a smile. But she knew I wasn't.

"Always thought you were gonna marry Sophia. Oh well, dreams don't always come through." Jace mumbles. I turn to Axton, as usual, his face was blank.

"I have to go, you guys enjoy lunch. Congratulations again Axton." I smile at him and he smiles back at me.

"I'll come with you." Amyra grabs her purse.

"No, it's alright." she glares at me and sits down because she knew alone time was what I needed.

"Bye Soph" Jace kisses my forehead.

"Bye."

"I'll walk you out." Axton grabs my hand. Even after years whenever we touch my skin sets on fire.

Walking out with him? I might break down crying.

"No thank you." I take his hand off mines. His eyes showed, hurt?

Hey, you're the one getting married. Be happy.

"See you guys." I smile. Walking away.

I walk out the doors, heading straight into my car.

"Marty, can you take me to Starbucks please?" I ask kindly. I always treat my employees good. Unlike most people around me.

He simply nods as we drive away from the McKay mansion.

Piper Fallon.

Piper McKay. It doesn't sound good. I roll my eyes at my jealousy.

Did he actually want to marry her? Or was he being forced to?

Starbucks comes into view and the drive-thru is completely packed. I grab my purse and open the car door. Voices rush towards me.

"Sophia, when is your next line coming out?"

"Are you dating anyone right now?"

"How much were you paid for your photoshoot with Victoria Secret?" Did I mention I also model? Well, I do.

"Did you meet Axton McKay today?"

"Is your dad in town?"

"Why did you and Trey Morgan break up?" I froze. I haven't heard his names in weeks.

"I hope everyone is having a good day, can you guys slow down with the questions, please?" I ask politely.

"Sophia, what are your thoughts on McKay Industries' newest charitable donations?"

"I think it was a pretty wise choice. The New York Cancer-Fighting Community is a very special charity to their hearts." I smile. I knew exactly what she was talking about, Piper could never. Okay, shut up Sophia.

As I push the doors open to Starbucks I practically run in.

I stand in line before a tap on my shoulder makes me turn around.

I see a girl, probably around the age of nine. She was dressed in a cute floral dress and had a channel crossbody bag. Damn girl.

"Hi,"

"Hi, you're Sophia Rivera aren't you?" she asks, shyly.

"Yes, I am. What's your name?" I ask smiling at her.

"I'm Maya. My mom said to be quick so if it's okay, can I have a picture? I really like your clothing line."

"Of course!" She takes a phone out of her bag, we take a selfie, and she thanks me as I hug her.

I love my fans!

The smile on her face was so adorable.

"Next please!" I turn to the counter.

"One caramel latte please." I smile at her.

After I grab my drink, I head back to the car, running away from the paparazzi.

I can't believe he's getting married. I sigh.

I watch as she walks away from me. I don't want to marry Piper. I want to marry that one specific girl who has been the sole owner of my heart all these years.

Sophia.

She wasn't just any girl, she was so sweet and kind and so fucking polite. She's so nice to everyone, even the fucking paparazzi. She could be depressed and she'll still brighten any room up.

But it wasn't that easy.

My dad, the biggest asshole ever, plays everything like it's a fucking game. That's why about four years ago we almost lost McKay Industries, because of him and his playful behavior. He trained my older brother, Corbin just like him. So when they both fucked up and almost lost our company, they threw me in. My nineteen-year-old self worked day and night. I put everything into that company. A percentage of it is still owned by my dad. My brother would have a percentage too, but he fucked up causing dad to cut him off.

Secretly I was working on papers to prove that I should have the company all to me. So far the process has been going well.

Since everything is all fun and games for my dad, he made a deal with me, I marry Piper Fallon for a business deal with her father. My immediate answer was no because I planned on confessing my feelings to Sophia. But somehow he figured out she was going to be a problem so he threaten to kill her. He wasn't bluffing. He had me kill people who didn't hold up their end of business deals.

I was told to marry Piper, act as if I truly wanted to, tell no one and Sophia would be okay. I wasn't sure how I was going to stop this, but it was going to end pretty badly for my dad.

She's the only person I care about.

My phone started ringing so I walked over and grabbed it.

"Sir, we have that man here at the house on the fifth street." One of my employees tells me. Excitement runs through me.

"Guys. I got to um, run." I run out the house, getting into my car I speed down the streets until I reach the abandoned street.

I walk towards a man tied to a chair.

"Axton McKay." he laughs.

I cringe at his wounded face.

"Do you know why you're here?" I ask stenly

"Because I drugged Sophia's coffee." he smiles. Fucker.

"Exactly." I take a pocket knife out my pocket. Slowly dragging it down his cheek.

"No one hurts her and lives." I stab him in the stomach.

"She would never love you, Axton. Especially when I tell her you're doing this." I laugh.

A genuine laugh.

This man is funny.

"What makes you think you'll be alive to even see her again?"

I stab him again.

"Rick. Let him bleed to death." I drop the knife onto the ground.

Wiping my hand.

Motherfucker thought he was gonna live. Humorous.
