《Intentions》Chapter 46

"To where are we going?" Cleo had asked, a look of confusion on her face.
"You'll see." I spoke briefly, on purpose of making this as a surprise date for her but knowing it makes her anxious I just have to hurry up and wait for her to see.
"Thanks, for making me anxious." She sarcastically responds, rolling her eyes at me.
I chuckle, kissing her forehead.
"Now go, I'll wait."
She grins as she looks back at me, then turns on her heel walking away to take the stairs and get herself ready.
We ended work on an early schedule, we somehow managed to close all deals and finish our transactions, giving me the time to go home and be with her. Making a plan to take her on a date, I would like to surprise her and give her the best experience. But before I went home, I came to talk to Celia and to not give her the benefit of the doubt I asked permission, casually telling her that Cleo wanted to help me meet a couple of interior designers on Malibu since she's been loving interior designing lately. Though I could not quite read her expression, she happily agreed then I was off outside, headed straight right home.
Taking a seat on the couch, waiting for her. I was good to go, as I had a minute to get ready and prepare for the plan. While she was still in the midst of making herself as she said presentable, as she took her time though I couldn't understand when she already looked stunning and beautiful, but still I waited patiently. After a minute, she came downstairs and the sight of her made me want to kiss her right here and now. She was breathtaking, while she had a tight-lipped smile and a look of question plastered across her face. It never hindered her beauty to stand out and I was too busy gazing at her. She was so natural, she was not forcing herself to be anything else and that made me love her.
As I ponder, I'm one fucking lucky man. To see her before me with a lovely smile on her face made it all too good, I just could not believe it.
"What?" She giggles.
I smile to myself, lightly shaking my head. Reaching out for her hand and wrapping my arms around her, taking her by surprise but she slowly eases into my arms, hugging me back.
"Let's go." I mutter and we went outside, a feeling of excitement came from the plan.
Going on our way, the road stretches forward. Through our tinted windows, are vast fields with the view of the sun, setting down as we soaked in its rays. As I let my eyes run over each hue, admiring it all at once. The more we went further, the more her eyes seemed to scanned the area, perplexed of the whole idea as to where we were off to.
"I think this is the part, where you take me away and kill me in a deserted area." She playfully spoke, as she pursed her lips and her eyebrows creased.

I chuckle, amused of her thought at this point of time. "You've been watching a hell lot of those horror movies." I comment.
Which was true, when I go to work she was left alone in the house and whenever I get to call her, either she's eating or watching another horror movie. As it became her habit, now she was having thoughts about it.
"Will you tell me where are we going? please." She pleads with a pout on her face, leaning back on her chair while looking at me.
"Patience." I reminded her, as I heard a faint grunt and huff on her part as she failed to take an answer out of me.
You'll see babygirl.
Finally, the place came into view and we came just in time while I parked my car. I took a glance at her direction and she already had a puzzled look on her face. A small smile came through me, while I hurriedly climbed out of the car and opening the door to her side. She took my hand as I lead her towards the venue and as soon as she saw, the look on her face said it all.
She was rendered speechless with admiration as she saw the view. She stood agape, as her eyes were trying to comprehend the sight before her.
"Wow." She spoke, stunned.
I chortle, a big smile on my face as the reaction that came out from her was not that I'd expected. The staff had kindly greeted us both and I gave a court nod, while I continue to lead her to our table as she linked her arms.
Hidden near the mountains, the restaurant overlooks the city and the coast. The establishment is quite secluded, reservations are needed and it might be half an hour drive away, it was all worth the experience. As the outdoor terrace made her fascinated and the sun set gave all different rays and colors to admire with, I definitely had brought her to the right place.
"I love this." She spoke out a thought, a twinkle on her eye as she gaze at the sight and back on me.
"Were you surprised?" I respond with a wry smile on my face while I lay my eyes on her, she was as beautiful as the view.
She adoringly smiles back at me and laughs wholeheartedly. "Of course, you did. Like you always do asshole, it's amazing up here."
Laughter escaped my throat, never getting tired of her feisty attitude and how she always makes a light out of the situation. Relief flooded through me as I achieved a goal on this plan, truly did she loved it. We took our orders as the restaurant served a menu of modern Mediterranean choices. We sat on the cosy chairs as the place was well lit, with soft glowing lights and the calm sea breeze, this was where we just needed to be.
"You love me, right?" She asked out of the blue, surprised that I didn't expected.

"Are you still having doubts?" I seriously asked, perplex of the whole situation.
"I'm just making .." She stops, taking a breath.
"Sure? for reassurance?" I suggested, while she kept quiet paying attention.
"Don't be, because I promised and I don't want to hurt you again. I'm a man of my word, Cleo." I spoke with sincerity and I don't have to further explain, I will let my actions speak to itself for it will prove more than words do as I meant what I've said.
She gives me a small smile and slowly nods in agreement for a reply and I smiled back. We might be less on the talk but our eyes and gestures show affection and understanding towards each other. Away from the idea of a strong relationship, taking one step at a time and though it might be slow, we were still making progress.
Continuing the day, dining good food and engrossed as our date went amazingly well. I wanted to make this a new experience for her, considering whenever a date comes in to mind, it was the usual fine dining restaurant with a lot of formality so to take a breather a date at the top of California would be pretty good. The sun's golden hour made it all too dramatic and perfect and I was mentally doing a fucking fist pump for I was ecstatic, as everything that I had envisioned was going according to plan. By the time we finished, the sun was about to finally set and with the last plan that I had in mind, I needed to show her.
"I've got to show you something." I spoke in a serious manner.
"Let me guess, your junk?" She replied playing and earning a chuckle from me.
"Believe me, I would like to but it's not." I playfully shake my head disagreeing and teasing her whilst smiling mischievously.
"Bummer." She grumbles and pouts.
To tease her this time, I bite my lower lip, staring hard in her direction and she rolls her eyes at me as she was basically trying to suppress her reaction, trying to avoid my attention that it was making her bothered. Minutes in, we stood and made our way outside.
"You are really going to give me a heart attack at the end of this day." She said, lightly laughing as the feeling of her joy and her laughter were music to my ears.
"You'll love this, come on lazy ass." I encourage her as we walked going to get on my car.
The drive was short given it was just a minute away from the restaurant. It was a cliff and was primarily used for sunset viewing, as I carefully park my car we both then went outside and was greeted by the waves crashing in and the breeze that came from it. I sat on the hood of the car, lightly tapping on the material to grab her attention as she was caught gazing at the sight.
"Sit beside me." I spoke.
With no hesitations, she did as she settled beside me leaning into my body. She exhales, closing her eyes like she was feeling the moment. I put my arms around her shoulders and she snuggles closer to my body.
"I like this." She utter, her eyes gazing from afar.
I broadly smile, pleased to hear it coming from her. "But I like it better when it's with you." I replied and she instantly looks up at me.
"You've been here a couple of times, huh?" She bluntly responds, rolling her eyes at me.
Oh, the attitude. Couldn't blame her in the first place anyway.
"What's with the tone?" I asked, looking down to meet her eyes.
"What?" She chuckles and innocently flutters her eyelashes, making it seem like it was unintentional.
A wry smile came over my features, smirking as I find the situation amusing. "It's not what you think, alright."
"I said, what? that's all ..." She musters up a straight face but I gave her a look of warning and she breaks, laughing and snorting at the same time.
I lean in and as a surprise, I tickle up and down her sides gently poking and wiggling my fingers around her body.
"Mat!" She squeals, laughing hysterically.
I continue to do so while I was laughing evilly the entire time, watching her helpless as she was busy laughing and giggling like crazy. I place my hand on her hips to steady her for she was writhing from the jolts on her body, she was in between laughing and screaming her lungs out.
"You fucker!" A high pitched cry came from her lips, making me stop while I couldn't stop myself laughing from her state at the moment.
She grunts, laughing along with me as I pull her against me gently brushing the slope of her neck, giving her feather-like kisses.
"No but seriously, I come here to think and relax the view up here is amazing." I explained, as she leans into my chest while I wrap my arms around her body.
"And I'm the first one?" She chirps, a hint playful smile on her mouth.
"And definitely the last one." I respond as soon as possible and she blushes smiling to herself as she was in thought of something.
"I'll count on that." She replied, laughing softly after.
Smirking, I kiss the top of her head and deep inside, I already know. As we spent the rest of the hour gazing the sun set filled with laughter and us both kissing like hormonal teenagers. But the idea was left in my mind and as I thought.
Hopefully, Cleo.
Hopefully.
