《Intentions》Chapter 29

Surprisingly, the function for the day was short and it entailed that the company was ready for the project launching this month. The board of members have already approved, giving us credit to our exemplary work like we always did. Co-workers were filing out of the function room delighted of the good news, eager to head home or were out for drinks. A few had invited but I kindly refused as I stood fixing my coat, ready to head out but a nagging thought came into mind. Used to my working hours I needed something to do, I wasn't in the mood to go home and wait for the rest of my night to pass by.
"Mat, you coming?" Eric, a classmate in college and now a co-worker tried to ask stopping me on my tracks curious of what he had to stay.
"To where?" I asked briefly.
"At the run down airport. An event is held for two weeks, a few of friends in college are coming too see actually. You in?" He stated as his words seemed to be inviting.
"Sure." I willingly replied, whilst startled by my behavior. As if I was drawn to the idea of hanging out and take a visit, my gut feeling was telling me to go.
"Great!" He exclaimed, excited as well.
We both went outside and took our cars as we were on the way. The run down airport had been popular way back, used for an adrenaline when it comes to car racing. The place was a mile away from the city but the drive is short if shortcuts are taken. As teenagers, we used to hang out and at times participate in the race but mostly we gamble from the load of money that we could get. It's been quite some time I haven't visited, and I haven't heard a word but not until now.
This could be a good idea, as my mind insisted so.
I speed up my car after countless of trees blurred as I passed by taken a way far from the buzzing city. I have finally arrived and my co-workers were trailing along just in time too see a race that was about to begin. The place was crowded, a distant hazy chatter could be heard while the fine vibrations of cars soothed the runway. I took off my coat placing it inside my vehicle and I went near the area, while the crowd was as loud as they can be taking their bets and conversing how good the game was going to get whilst my eyes roamed taking in my surroundings, observing the race that about to set before my eyes.

"Man, I heard some chicks were racing on tonight. I wonder if I could bang one after." A typical teenage boy bragged, I've heard beside me laughing like idiots after.
They looked and sound pathetic, but what had picked my interest was the fact that girls were on for the night, it was quite unusual and I rarely have seen one. Proved that my gut was right, I'd be having a good time watching them both battle at it.
Some blonde with her skin tight clothing took her place on the center of the runway, carefully adjusting herself at the front with flags at both hands. The race was about to start.
"1,2,3 Go!" She bellowed, as her raised flags were down at the second she said go.
Both cars took off, smoke blasting out from the speed and force that was put into the vehicle. Gathering everybody's attention they cheered as they raced down the runway. The screeching of tires can be heard whilst they change gears and so far so good. The loud roaring of their vehicles spurs challenging who could make it first while I had my eyes on the black car, a Mustang GT. Doubtful that it could make it but what caught us all by surprise. Her speed accelerated, as it ran like the wind while she weaved through the way passing her opponent and punching the gas pedal for more, she was definitely on her track and she played us along. As dangerous as it was, she was already on her way to the finish line.
The crowd erupted into cheers while they hollered, a good game well played. People swarmed the vehicle like ants, congratulating the driver who won. While I wonder who she was, it was impressive. I crossed my arms and was about to go after but what left me astound was when I saw a familiar figure.
Cleo.
All along it was her, the driver who was in for a heck of a dangerous ride. Surprised would be an understatement, I wouldn't know if I would laugh or frown from how risky it was or how she's always had been a ball of fire. Genuinely smiling from the crowd from her victory and the attention, she had her hair up and on the same outfit that I had fucked her in, always looking so goddamn attractive. She smiles, greets a few friends back and says thank you's because of her, they're going back home with cash tonight. Her eyes coincidentally searched the crowd and for an instant, her eyes found mine.

Her smile died down for a bit, excusing herself from the regulator and comes my way. I cocked my head to the side, a lopsided smile etched into my face.
"Hey." She shyly said, hesitant of what she'd do.
"I see you're all in for some dangerous shit." I stated, brows furrowed but my eyes contradicted as I looked at her with astonishment.
"Well ..." She laughs trailing off and casting her eyes down, anxious that she was caught.
"Just please don't tell mom." Her eyes pleaded, biting her lower lip and licking it in the process.
Why does she has to make everything look sexy
My cock stirred, turned on for it was more like she was seducing rather than pleading. I tried my best to muster up a serious expression, clearing my throat as to speak.
"Go home with me." I spoke, her eyes softened for a moment calmed from her worries.
This wasn't the place to have a conversation with and from the look of her eyes she needed tranquility. With a silent nod, she did what I said but while we were about to. The mechanic came, interrupting us both and I clenched my jaw to calm myself this time, hoping I'd be in my best behavior.
"Cleo, you didn't told me you were coming I could have joined you." He spoke whilst eyeing me with a defiant manner.
Look who's getting all alpha
"Sorry Jack, it was actually on the spot. I just came here unprepared and needed one to race." Cleo casually explained, oblivious to our gestures.
"It's fine, how about we hang out? Most of the visitors wanted to talk to you and I bought a new set for the car, you'd be thrilled." He showed a smile, hoping he could sweep her off.
Pathetic.
"I-"
"She can't, we actually have plans before this and I came to take her home." I interrupted what she was about to say, irritated at the moment.
Her eyes widened, startled she was but she recovered. Shocked by my blatant behavior.
"Is that so, babe." He had the nerve to fucking call her and chuckle, feeling amused at the situation while his eyes were hard on me.
I forced a laughter, ready to fucking knock him out and wipe that stupid smile off his face.
"Cleo, let's go." I sternly said, turning on my heel.
"Oh, is that what she really wants?" He asked at the last minute, draining my patience.
I turned around and in an instant I was on his face, too close to start a fight. I stare him down as I clenched my jaw from the temper with a sly smile.
"Don't fight it, you're not what she fucking wants." I growled as I lost my temper.
"Guys, you don't have to fight just please calm down." Her hands were on my chest, the second she saw the heated argument while she was trying to get between us to stop.
The fucking idiot couldn't speak, but a grin that I would like to wipe off of his face was still evident pleased that he got the reaction that he'd wanted.
"Theo, please." He adds, her voice was soft and inviting. Easing the temper and heat off of my body, I let go with a sadistic smile on my face, turning around as I've noticed a crowd had gathered around us to witness, walking away as I did.
"I'm sorry." I hear her utter, walking away from him as she followed me.
I clenched my fists, taking a deep breathe as I try to get myself to calm down easing out my temper. She looked worried but quite, observant of my behavior. I closed the doors, started the engine, ready to head home and forget this stupidity had ever happened.
