I know I am, so here it is. Chapter 6! I hope you like it.
Happy reading!!!
Unedited.
------
"Paisley!" I hear my dad yell from down the hall.
It's been two hours since we found out Jamie was taken and still nothing. We've contacted everyone we could think of, sent out all of our best trackers, and even notified the local police station which is something we wolves rarely do. But we're desperate right now and will do anything and everything to find Jamie and bring him back home safely.
Dad even called in a few of the neighboring Alphas to help with the search. They were of course more than happy to help and now they're here helping us try and locate Jamie.
"Did they find him?" I run into his office and ask with hopeful eyes.
"We believe so. Alpha Jarrod here said his trackers followed a scent similar to Jamie's all the way to Bennett's territory." Dad says with murderous eyes.
"Bennett? Are you serious?"
"Yes." Dad growls. He's beyond pissed off and for good reason.
Bennett used to be my dad's beta before he was mysteriously kicked out of the pack and labeled as a rogue.
A rogue is a wolf who has left his or her pack for whatever reason. Most rogues are bloodthirsty and dangerous due to the lack of structure and protection only a pack can provide.
"The bastard has been looking for a way to get revenge since the day I had to kick him out of the pack." Dad snarls and I take a step back. I know he wouldn't hurt me on purpose but an angry wolf is not a wolf in control of himself or his actions.

My dad never told me what happened and why he was kicked out of the pack, but he was.
The sound of the doorbell brings me out of my thoughts.
"Paisley sweetie will you go let whoever that is in? It's probably Alpha Mason. He's the only one we're waiting on." Dad says and it feels like my heart stops beating inside my chest.
"Alpha Mason?" I ask timidly.
"Yes. Is that a problem?" He raises his brow at me while a suspicious expression takes over his face.
"No not all." I answer before stepping out of the room.
Calm down Paisley and get your shit together. It's just Mason. I mentally prepare myself for the encounter as I come to a stop at the front door. I take a deep breath in before grabbing the door handle and turning it. I swing open the door to reveal a concerned-looking Mason.
"Sorry I couldn't get here sooner, traffic was a bitch." He says. "Oh it's you." He says when he realizes it's me.
"Yeah it's me." I say while standing there awkwardly.
"Are you okay? I know how close you are with Jamie and I know how hard this must be for you." He says sympathetically while staring at me with those gorgeous brown eyes.
"I'm about as well as can be expected. I guess I'm just more pissed off than anything and I want my little brother back."
"We'll get him back Paisley I promise." He reassures me by pulling me into his strong arms. I feel those pleasurable tingles only your mate can bring and I hesitantly wrap my arms around his waist. I can feel him smile into my hair and pull me tighter against him.
It's when I hear footsteps coming our way that I freak out and pull away from him. I take a few steps back just as my dad and the other visiting Alphas walk into the room.

"Alpha Mason thank you for coming. We really appreciate your help." My dad says before shaking hands with Mason.
"I'm sorry I'm late. Traffic was terrible." Mason apologizes.
"Oh it's not a problem. Paisley and I are just glad you're here." Dad says and Mason shoots me a heated looked.
"Of course. There's no where else I'd rather be." My face heats up at the obvious double meaning behind his statement.
The men make their way into my father's office to decide how they will go about getting Jamie back.
I personally would go in guns blazing but that's probably not the best strategy in this situation.
Mason falls in last and stops at me while the others walk ahead.
"I am happy to see you though. I just wish it could have been under different circumstances." He says and shows off his pearly whites.
Damn! Even his teeth are gorgeous!
"Well I wish I could say the same." I snap and begin to walk away.
Mason grabs my arms and pulls me back to him.
The tingling sensation takes over but I know I have to stay focused.
I look down at Mason's grip on my arm and then back up at him.
He lets go and apologizes.
"Paisley I'm really trying here." He sends me a pleading look and I instantly feel guilty.
"Mason let's go. The others are waiting." I hear my dad call from his office. Mason sends me one last look before walking off leaving me feeling worse than before.
A little later we've finally located Bennett and have come up with a plan.
"Okay, we have word on Bennett. He is in his territory for sure but we're not positive on how long he'll be there. Let's go get my son back." My dad says and kisses the top of my head.
We all rush out outside and shift into our wolves.
Stay near me at all times. Got it? My dad mindlinks me.
Got it.
Wolves can talk to each other through mindlink. We use this in battles or if we ever need each other. When you find your mate, the mindlink becomes more powerful. You can hear each others thoughts and feel each other's feelings.
I know your scared for Jamie, but he will be okay.
Who is that?
I look over and see a midnight black wolf with blue eyes staring me down.
Mason.
Thank you.
With that we all take off sprinting towards Bennett's territory.
About ten minutes later we arrive.
We're all on high alert and I know the smallest thing will set any of us off. We are ready for a fight.
Do you smell that? I mindlink Jack, one of my best friends and my dad's new beta's son.
Rogues. He links back and makes a face full of disgust.
Yeah rouges do smell pretty bad.
But they're not the only thing I can smell.
The other scent is so faint but smells so familiar. It's smells like lollipops and leaves.
Jamie!
But I also smell...blood?
Shit.

Author's note:
Poor Jamie!!!
Anyways, what do we think of Mason's sweet side or Paisley's attitude?
They are so cute, am I right?
I will be updating tomorrow, so I won't be leaving you guessing long. I just hate when that happens!
