"What about Todd?" he questioned, I frowned at the terrible name.

"Landon that is so bad." I smiled when he pouted, then I started to laugh, "Todd really?"

"Shush." he pecked my lips quickly, catching my eyes with his, "I thought it was cute." he grumbled to himself.

"You're cute." I mumbled, bringing him back to me for a longer kiss.

"You're cuter, my love." he whispered against my lips with a smile before sitting back beside me.

We had been going over baby names for over an hour and have only found a handful. Which were mostly boy names and a couple girl ones I picked. But, they didn't have a spark to them, like they weren't meant to be.

"Sam?" he suggested, that one didn't sound half bad and was gender neutral.

"I actually really like that one." I smiled up at him and he grinned.

"Me too." he replied, leaning over to kiss me again which made me smile even more.

He's been a lot more touchy lately, not letting himself go ten minutes without my lips on his. Or our bodies together, it made me feel really loved. I could tell how much our wolves liked it.

"Okay." he pulled away slowly leaving me breathless, "We have to visit my mom now." he said against my lips.

Mia grumbled, I couldn't agree more.

I leaned in to connect our lips in one more hard, sweet filled kiss. Then I pulled away, watching his lips lift into a smirk. And I could feel how warm my cheeks got and tingles shot all throughout my body.

"Come on." he mumbled, turning around to get off the bed and I followed along.

First I leant over to slip my shoes on before getting up from the bed. He held his hand out to me and I slipped my small one into his big one. Then he laced our fingers together before leading us downstairs to the front door. Once we were outside the fresh air slipped through my nose and I felt content. We walked down the pathway until we were in view of other pack members who greeted us nicely.

The walk was short and sweet, Landon making sure to keep me close. He would also move me if a male walked past me, specifically unmated. He's never done that before as we've already mated. But, I assumed it was because, of the pup I was carrying. It made me feel safe and I knew in my heart he was going to be such a great father.

Once we made it to the house, Landon didn't get the chance to knock as Audrey had opened the door with a smile.

"You're here." she beamed, inviting us in before hugging Landon then me even longer, "I can't believe this." her hand made it's way to my stomach and I smiled.

But, when I looked to Audrey's eyes they were flickering with a bit of sadness, "What's wrong?" I asked, glancing to Landon questionably.

He also seemed sad, "Ugh." he blew out a breath and suddenly I felt how hurt he was.

"It's just William won't be here to meet them." she spoke softly still staring at my belly, "He would have loved them so much." her eyes glossed over and my heart clenched at the words.

She was right, my pup wouldn't get to meet their grandfather, I've never thought about that and how it might make Landon feel. I looked to his also

glossed over eyes, his facial features looking troubled with somber. Audrey seemed to sense my instinct to go to him because, she stepped back. And once she did I walked over to Landon to pull him into my arms. He hugged me back tightly while I gave his mark a light kiss.

That's what made his body relax into me, "I baked some cookies." Audrey stated as I slowly pulled myself from Landon's arms.

He was looking at his mom but, he had a small smile. "What kind?" he asked.

The idea of cookies seemed to lighten up the mood in the room. And soon we were having a nice conversation over cookies. We talked about the new pack house being built starting next week. Landon hasn't had time to make the announcement with everything going on though.

"I'm sure that you could announce it after you've announced the pregnancy of the pup to the pack." I listened to Audrey state to Landon as I ate my fourth cookie.

I'm starting to eat more than usual and what I eat usually isn't much. I wasn't one to complain especially when Landon loves to feed me himself.

"Yeah, that doesn't seem like a bad idea, what do you think love?" I looked beside me to Landon who's eyes were watching my every move with a softness to them.

"Um, sounds good." I nodded my head and he smiled, leaning over to place a gentle kiss against my head.

While I continued to munch on my cookie, these were really good.

"Bye, thank you for the cookies." I smiled sheepishly at the fact that I almost ate all of them.

"Of course, come by anytime." Audrey said, pulling from our hug, the coconut aroma she had wafting away from me.

She gave Landon a hug and then we left, his hand was in mine as we walked. The sun was shining bright today and the sky was as blue as ever.

"I think that went really well." Landon said, with a smile on his lips and I nodded in agreement.

"Yeah I like her cookies." I mumbled and laughter spewed from his lips which inevitably made me laugh.

"I know I seen that." he replied.

Stopping us in the middle of the pack grounds and cupping my face. Pushing away any hair that was in my eyes. Then he leaned down kissing me slowly, igniting sparks to flow throughout my body. I lifted my hands to grasp around his wrists to steady me as I kissed him back. We kissed slowly and softly, until he pulled away his brown eyes lit with happiness.

"I'm going to have to make you some cookies then huh?" he asked and I about melted.

I nodded my head with a smile on my face and he pecked my lips quickly before turning to leave me. I followed after him with a little laughter when I seen him take off in a jog. I sped up but, when we passed a familiar spot, my footing made me stop. The tree was standing tall and the white ribbon hung loosely, almost falling off from the winds. I smiled at the memory of him before I was pushed from my thoughts.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Landon touched my lower back and followed my line of view to the oak tree, "I'll give you a minute, I'll be over here." he kissed my cheek softly before leaving me.

With that I walked over into the forest, leaves crunching underneath my shoes. Just as I had reached the tree the ribbon had almost flew off but, I caught it. Then I tied it around the tree feeling my eyes well up a bit.

"There you go." I whispered, double knotting it so it wouldn't fly away again.

My eyes caught the words engraved in the tree,

In loving memory of Chester Davis. I brought my hand up to run my fingertips across the nicely written words. I smiled sadly, placing my other hand against my belly.

"Thank you." I stated, "I'm sorry I haven't been to visit." I mentally scolded myself for that.

I brought my hands to the white ribbon rubbing the silk fabric between my fingers. I sighed at how sad the air was so I tried to give it some more positive energy.

"I'm pregnant, I probably wouldn't be if you hadn't saved me, I probably wouldn't even be here." I released a breath, "Landon actually thought Todd was a good name." I smiled and shook my head.

The wind had picked up a bit and I went on, "But, I told him it wasn't obviously, you'd probably have a good name." I mumbled.

The wind blew some more making my hair fly in my face and I'd like to think that it was Chester talking back to me.

"I've made arrangements for their to be an announcement for the pup tomorrow." Landon kisses my shoulder and I smiled at him when I locked eyes with him in the mirror.

His arms were around my waist, his thumbs running back and forth against my belly. I wasn't that big but, I just knew when I was, Landon would be touching my belly a lot more. I couldn't quite see myself being so big because, of how small I was but, I would love it nonetheless. As I looked at myself, I realized I didn't quite have the time to actually realize that I'm having this pup. Of course I know but, it's the mere shock seeping in I guess.

Now I was actually scared, scared that I was actually going to be a mother, "You okay?" he questioned, his facial features showing concern.

"What if I'm not a good mom?" I asked quietly, zeroing in on my stomach.

He dropped his hands to my hips to swiftly turn me around, my hands falling to his chest, "You will be an amazing mother, Layla." he spoke with certainty in his every word, placing a hand against my cheek, "I know you will be because, you're already amazing."

I gripped his shirt in my hand, allowing a smile to slip onto my lips, "You don't have a bad bone in your body and you are so strong, my love," his thumb caressed my cheek softly, "That's why I know you'll be a great mother." he finished with giving me a short slow kiss.

And when he pulled away he leaned his head against mine, "Also, I'm here with you and we can do this together like we always do everything right?" he questioned with pure love in his eyes, Mia was happily bouncing around in my head.

"Right." I breathed, leaning up to kiss his lips that responded upon impact.

They moved together slowly and in sync and I felt Mia push through to take over the kiss. As well as Jake on Landon's end of the kiss. Which is why it got rough towards the end. He picked us up to place us on the counter to deepen the kiss. His hands roaming greedily along my body.

With his lips on us I realized one other inevitable thing about me. I could quite possibly get through anything in the entire world. If I had Landon, my mate by my side all of the time.

If I didn't I don't have a clue what I would.
