"Isn't Landon so hot?"

I was just on my way to go on a run when I stopped in my tracks at Donna's voice. You have to past through the living room area to get to the backdoor which was cruel. I most definitely came at the wrong time, sucking it up I turned inside the living room, trying to avoid their gazes.

"Yeah he's so sexy, did you see him when he was working out in the gym yesterday?" Sara's voice echoed as a reply to Donna while I spotted them on the couch.

They definitely seen me since they both stopped talking once I passed by the couches and stood up simultaneously.

"Hey runt." Donna yelled, catching my attention as I looked their way, "Don't you think Landon is just the most hottest guy ever." she sneered, with a smirk on her face.

Did they always have to embarrass me. There was a couple boys playing the foosball table who glanced our way but, said nothing. Nor did they do anything, there had also been some girls at the other end of the couch talking.

"Does she speak?" Sara giggled, while Donna's smirk grew.

"I um." I stuttered looking down, feeling my palms become sweaty from the embarrassment.

"I um" Sara mocked, with a condescending tone in her voice while stepping around the coffee table to come closer with Donna.

Mia growled, while I agreed, we had just turned sixteen and it wasn't going to be the best week I could tell.

Suddenly something happened that I had never expected did, "Why don't you girls just leave her alone?" A girl that was sitting on the couch said quietly but, she said it.

Donna spun around so quick she almost fell, "And who's going to stop us if we don't you?" she laughed.

"Just quite being such bitches." I couldn't believe my ears, she said that her eyes locked with mine as I took her image in, she had a bob cut, brunette hair, with brown eyes.

It all happened so fast I couldn't comprehend one moment from the next. Donna rushed the girl slapping her right across the face and she fell clutching it. Just as that happened the boys came into the living room, by now everyone was staring at the scene before them.

"Woah woah woah, what do we have here?" Brad's voice rumbled, throughout the room, appearing infront of me along with the others.

"Just some girl trying to stick up for the runt." Sara said nonchalantly.

"Oh, we can't have that.." My chin was gripped roughly by Brad and I closed my eyes, "Can we?" he let me go just as roughly, while I backed away.

Brad turned his form looking at everyone in the living room, "If anyone wants to act as a hero for this little waste of space, they can be treated exactly as her, I hope we're clear on that." he finished before turning around and punching me in the gut, I bended over in pain.

Just like that, that was the last time anyone ever stood up for me.

My face grew red from embarrassment while looking down. All movement stopped, her words lingering in the air.

"Well you must be hungry look at how skinny you are." Sara had said bitterly, her once friendly facade melted away.

Obviously mad because, of Landon and I. Meanwhile Landon's growl boomed throughout the kitchen walls, no doubt gaining everyone's attention. Even managing to make me jump slightly at the loud sound. I had no desire to look up whatsoever, I was too embarrassed. My hair fell over my face thankfully, acting as a shield.

"YOU WILL NEVER AND I MEAN EVER SPEAK TO YOUR LUNA LIKE THAT AGAIN DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" Landon's voice was deeper than ever his tone enraged, meaning it was probably Jake.

I couldn't help but, feel somewhat better that he was protecting me. On the other hand I was downright shocked he addressed me as his Luna to the pack. At this statement I heard a few gasps and no doubt people probably putting their heads down in submission.

"I um." I heard Sara muttering next to me sounding just like I did when they put me in that embarrassing situation, humiliated.

"Do you, understand me?" he growled out the last part, the alpha tone clearly visible.

"Y-yes, alpha." she muttered, while I sat there not knowing what to do now, it was like my eyes were stuck to the tile ground.

All I really wanted was to run to my room and hide but, I couldn't. Though suddenly sparks were felt on my thigh, without hesitation I knew who it was and I grabbed his hand for comfort. Without lifting my head I inhaled his scent releasing a sigh at how I seemed to relax.

"That goes for everyone in this pack and I hope you all understand me." his voice was firm letting everyone know he was not to be messed with.

The hand I was holding went up to my chin forcing my head up and I let it. My eyes met his dark black ones as he caressed my cheek lightly.

"Come on baby." he whispered, his hand slipping from my face to grab my hand again.

I got up from the stool, glancing at some people on the way out to see them already looking at me. Some people seemed shocked others seemed disgusted and some people's heads were even bowed to show submission to there alpha. Once we were out of the kitchen we didn't take the same route to my room so I started to panic.

Now where were we going?

Again as if hearing me, he turned around his eyes a shade lighter, "I'm taking you to my house." he gave me a reassuring smile one that made my insides twist.

With a nod, I let him lead me outside of the pack house as the sunlight hit my skin, in what seems like forever. He guided me and I seen pack members watching us, making me grip his hand. We walked into the forest, where a dirt trail was and took a turn before a long path led to a huge house. It was beautiful;

As we walked it was silent until he stopped us in our tracks turning to face me.

"Are you okay?" his concerned eyes met mine, scanning my emotionless face.

Was I okay, of course, I'm fine.

"I'm okay." I replied rather than fine, people know what fine means, the complete opposite.

His eyes seemed to narrow while I looked away and into the forest behind him. Trees, leaves of red, yellow and green scattered the dirt, as well as broken twigs. Mia would definitely love this sight, she loved the fall. I wish she was here, she would definitely be a big help with, well everything.

'She doesn't look okay' A deep voice echoed in my head but, I barely caught it as my thoughts of Mia drifted away my new focus on the voice.

Did he say something, was he talking to me this whole time?

My eyes met his again, his eyebrows drawn together while looking at me, "D-did you say something?" I asked nervously, I find it weird to hear my own voice sometimes.

"No, love." he asked in a confused tone his eyebrows drawing together more in a concerning manner, my face heated from embarrassment.

Great now I'm hearing things.
