《All Our Flaws Are Aligned [COMPLETED]》Combat

"NO!" You yelled as Tony's car flipped over itself and skidded across the road. Bucky swerved, trying to brake as quickly as he could without flipping your own car over, your words swallowed by the sound of the explosion crashing through the air as the scene before you glowed red.

You pulled on the door.

"LET ME OUT!" You shouted when you realised it was locked. You heard the screeching of tires behind and in front of you. Your car finally jolted to a stop, and Bucky twisted, reaching his arm to the back seats, and pulling a gun out.

"Stay." He ordered, before unclipping his seatbelt and leaving the car. You launched forward to go through his door as well, but he slammed it shut just as your seatbelt snapped you back. You grunted, rushing to undo it, then climbed over to his door, but he'd already locked it. You whipped your head round, watching the rest of the team running around your car towards Tony's.

You hadn't seen him come out yet.

His car was upside down, the bottom being slowly swarmed by flickering flames. Bucky was in front of the hood of the car you were in, his gun drawn as he looked around the darkness.

Suddenly, your car jolted, as if someone was rocking it. The radio crackled on and off. You frantically looked through all the windows, but couldn't see anyone in your panic.

You looked back to the front when you started hearing gunshots.

You saw the team starting to fight, numerous black clothed agents swarming from the trees, the red symbol on their jackets undeniable. Again, you tried your own door, then the driver door, even climbing into the back and trying those. Everything was locked.

Where the hell was Tony?

You watched Nat get thrown to the ground. You watched Sam dodge bullets as he whizzed through the air. You watched Steve take a punch to the face.

This was your fault.

You swore loudly, pulling the door handle again and again, then yelled at the inanimate object in frustration as you pulled as hard as you could.

The entire car let out a series of loud, mechanical clicks, then all the internal lights went out, and you fell forwards as the door finally gave way, the noises of battle suddenly louder as the fresh air hit your face.

"GET BACK IN THE CAR!" Bucky yelled at you, but you ignored him, jumping down from the car and throwing the door shut so hard it bent a little from the impact. Your anger was coursing through you, and you stormed past him.

He grabbed your arm, cursing when the heat of your skin burned his hand, then switched to his metal hand to grab you again and whirl you round towards him.

"Get back in the fucking car!" He yelled again, before spinning you round and squashing you between the side of the car and his body, holding his left arm up to protect you from a spray of bullets heading your way.

"I said get..." His words trailed off as he looked at you, seeing that your eyes were now glowing white, the brown, rainbow irises he'd become so attached to long gone. Your teeth were clenched, your breathing was erratic. It made him step back.

Then he noticed your arms had white lines trailing down them as well, like it was in your veins, moving through your body.

'Bucky' came Steve's voice in his earpiece. 'What the hell are you doing, grab her and go!'

Bucky couldn't respond. He was staring at you, and he couldn't look away. He did nothing as you stormed past him once again, heading towards Tony's car, your veins glowing whiter and whiter by the second. You could barely hear the team whisper in shock as you passed them, the sizzle of your skin, of your powers too loud for you to register anything else. You vaguely noticed some shouts of 'She's here!', but you didn't care. You didn't care about anything other than getting Tony.

You ran up to the car, grabbing the door and ripping it off.

It was empty. No Tony. No Rhodey.

Next thing you knew, something wrapped around your arm, like a thick whip. You looked down at it, then looked behind you.

A poor, pathetic Hydra agent was holding the other end with both hands, his eyes wide as he watched you turn round to him. Your pulse spiked again, and the whip sizzled where it made contact with your skin.

"Where is he?" You spat. The Hydra agent gulped, then tugged on the whip. You didn't move.

You grabbed it, the crackle echoing over the road, wrapped your hand round it, and pulled, dragging the useless drone closer to you. You could see the waves of heat rolling off you, his face screwing up slightly as he tried to lean away.

You clenched your teeth, staring at his dull eyes, then the electricity travelled from your hand, down the whip, into his body.

He shook chaotically, and you just watched his body convulse, his eyes glowing as your power snaked through him, before slumping to the ground. You shook the whip off and threw it to the ground beside him.

You looked up to see six more agents stepping towards you, guns drawn, forgetting the Avengers behind them. You screwed your eyes shut, letting your emotions consume you, screaming into the air as you fell to your knees, electrical tendrils crackling through the air, surging from your body to each agent, as the rest of the team watched them meet the same fate as the one before, their eyes wide.

You breathed after hearing their bodies hit the floor, trying to reign your powers back in when you heard-

"Kid."

You snapped your head up to see Iron Man walking up to you, the team parting to let him through, and you stood quickly as relief washed over you. You felt your powers starting to dial back down as he wrapped something around you then hugged you.

"Where-you weren't-" You stuttered, your voice croaky and strained.

"You think I didn't have my suit?" He said as his mask flipped up. "Ye of little faith." You closed your eyes and let your head fall to his chest as he spoke over you. "Take her. Now." You felt yourself be passed over to someone else, and then you were being rushed away.

"What-hey!" You said as you looked to your right to see Bucky herding you to the car, his arm carefully around your blanket wrapped body. "I can't leave, I need to go back and-"

"Get in." Bucky said, pulling the door open.

"I'm not getting in I need-"

"Get in!" He repeated, his voice rising to a shout. You snapped your mouth shut watching him glare at you. When you said nothing, when you did nothing, he grabbed your arm and moved you into the seat, slamming the door behind you as soon as he knew your feet were out of the way.

He rubbed his face as he walked away from the car, towards the team.

"Dude..." Sam said first as they gathered in a circle.

"Did you know she could do that?" Nat asked Bucky from beside him as he stared at the floor.

"Barnes," Bucky finally looked up at Tony. "Take her as planned. We'll clear this and fly the jets over to meet you at the safehouse by the end of the week."

"Tony," Steve said suddenly. "I know you said we couldn't ask questions until this was over. But we need answers. Now."

Tony looked up at the team, seeing them nodding in agreement, waiting for the truth.

"Fine. After we clear this and get somewhere safe." He yielded, then looked back at Bucky. "Take her now."

Bucky walked back to the car, catching your eyes through the windscreen. He felt angry, but he wasn't too sure what he was angry about. He got into the driver's seat without saying a word. He could feel that you were angry too.

He tried to start the car. It spluttered. He tried again. He slammed his hand onto the wheel when it spluttered once more. Then he gripped the wheel, breathing deeply.

"Turn it on." He said quietly, so quietly that you almost missed it.

"Where are we going?"

"Turn the fucking car on Luka." He turned to you.

"Tell me where we're going! Why aren't they coming with us?!"

"Because they need to make sure we aren't being followed, and clean up the 7 agents that YOU just killed!" He shouted back.

"I saved your lives!"

"You were reckless, Tony can look after himself!"

"And I can't?! Did you fail to see what I just did?!"

The internal lights flickered on with your words, and the dashboard lit up. Then it started going haywire, with various beeps, blinking lights, the radio cutting in and out.

"Is that better?" You spat. "You wanted the car on, it's fucking on."

"Stop!" He hissed. "Luka STOP!" He saw your face angry, your eyes narrowed at him, your shoulders tensed as the car acted more chaotically around you. He couldn't think of anything else to do at that moment, he couldn't think of any other way to shut you up, other than to grab your face.

And kiss you.

The beeps, the flickering lights, they all dulled down the second his lips pressed to yours. Once the car was silent again, he pulled back. His breath was shaky as he slowly took his hands from your face.

He shifted back in his seat, ignoring the heat crawling up his body, and ignoring you staring at him, and turned the car on. It started on the first try. He looked up, ready to start driving, and he caught the eyes of his team members. Licking his bottom lip, he ignored them as well, putting the car in drive and sped off down the road.
