[Nea's POV]

Waking up next to Adam in our room has never failed to make me smile early in the morning. His grunts in sleep and scrunch nose in between, all I found cute. I move strands of his hair that covers his eyes as his hair is getting longer.

I'm losing out my sanity day by day, all because of Adam.

I wake up at 6 am today and I sit in my usual chair by the window as I look at the rising sun and the skies. I didn't realize how long I stare at the sky until a hand snake around my neck, giving warmth.

"You always beat me every morning wifey, how did you get up so early?" Adam kisses my cheek and smiles. I smile and reach out to Adam's neck, pulling him as I kiss his cheek and he grunts.

"God, don't make my heart race so early in the morning, baby. I can die early you know." Adam put a hand to his chest while closing his eyes and I giggles.

"It's almost 7, want to go for a run? I mean you will be cycling and I will be running." Adam suggests as he makes a pitiful face.

I make a thinking hard expression before I break into a grin as I nod, "Sure!"

"Really? Okay, let's get ready now." Adam pulls me straight to the bathroom and my eyes widen.

"No! No. I'll wash up myself." I pull my hands away, but Adam pulls me in one tug and picks me up on his shoulder, "No, let's wash up together." He says as he laughs evilly and I yell as he teases me towards the bathroom.

-----

Both of us are back from our morning run and Adam is wet as he's sweating from the long run. Upon arriving in the front yard of the house, he pulls out of his running tee and he's now only in his running short. His abs look great and I can feel my face turns redder, he smiles when he sees me avoiding him.

I glance at him and I saw his eyes glinting with mischiefs as he slowly walks up to me and trapped me between his hand as I pushed to the wall. He leans in slowly and I can feel my heart races as his face getting closer and closer.

A cough makes us jumps in surprise and we turn around to find Lucas standing a few feet away from us as he covers his eyes with his hand, "I know you guys can't get enough of each other, but I would appreciate it if you guys keep your PDA in private instead of public like in front of your damn house."

"And what are you, a stranger doing in our front yard early in the morning?" Adam replies sarcastically as I hold out a smile and hiding behind Adam's back.

Lucas stands up straight as he proudly says, "As of yesterday, I may be the future son-in-law of the family, so I'm not a stranger anymore."

Adam scoffs, but then he smiles widely, "Took you guys long enough to make it official huh?"

Lucas laughs, but there's a hint of shyness in his laugh, "I'm happy for you both." I say as I smile widely.

"Thank you, my future sister-in-law." Lucas bows a bit and Adam hugs him cheerfully. We walk inside the house together, then find Mr. and Mrs. Clark having breakfast in the kitchen island.

We go and take a bath as we both are sweating from the morning exercise while Lucas went to Sara's room to wake her up. Then all of us have breakfast together before we went our separate ways to spend our holiday meaningfully.

-----

Adam is on the phone with Alex in his study room, discussing their business that is still growing. I spend my time finding a book to read in his private library which connected to the study room.

"There's a lot of books here and I can't decide which one to read first. It's frustrating!" I say as I pout and I heard Adam laugh, "Take your time, you got forever to read each one of it."

Forever. Why do I feel scared whenever he says it? What if we don't have forever?

I didn't notice Adam is standing in front of me until he cupped my face, making my eyes turn to him, "What are you thinking?"

I gulped down air as I try to hide my thoughts, "These books. They are all amazing and I'm afraid I will be stuck here for a lot of time here instead of going out to socialize."

Adam's eyes pierce mine as he tries to find my actual thoughts. I push his hands slowly as I smile, "Arent's you supposed to be discussing with the Alex for your business?"

His face shows unsatisfied with my change of topic, but he sighs slowly, "Alex is on the way here since we have a few things to discuss. Same goes to Will, Noah, and Lucas."

I nod understandingly, "Where's Sara?"

"She has some things to do about her assignments, so she's with her friends probably." I nod again as I scan the books carefully.

"Will you be okay?" Adam leans to the bookshelves as he looks at me.

"Hey, I'm okay. These *pointing at the books* is my eternal best friends. And I also got this *pointing at my phone and earphone* so my day will definitely be better. So no need to worry, I'll not die of boredom." I say convincingly to Adam and he smiles as he ruffles my hair.

"Tell me if you got bored, anytime okay?" Adam walks backward and winks at me as I squint my eyes.

I heard the door open and the boys' voices rang out in the living room. Adam probably led them to the study room when they come to my side saying hi before they got back to the serious mode of the meeting.

I'm still scanning the books when my eyes found a specific book of poems, Her Favorite Color Was Yellow by Edgar Holmes. I open the book to read its contents when a few papers fall out and I quickly pick it up.

My hands stop when I see a picture of a girl and a boy hugging happily. The second picture seems a bit newer than the last picture, the girl is on the boy's lap as they kiss each other and it is a Polaroid picture. The third picture shows the boy back hugging the girl as he kisses her neck making her laugh beautifully.

I pick up the pictures and the first page of the book is scribbled, 'To my love, Adam Nicholas Clark. Happy 20th Birthday, I'll always love you - Lots of Love, Emily.' There are other scribbles under the first scribbles that say, 'Thank you, my love, you will always be my first love and you're my world'.

This is Emily, Adam's first love and the one in his heart. She's his first love and she's his world.

I can feel my heart getting heavier as my hands shaking. My heart aches and I need to take a breather so I get out of the library through another door, slowly not to distract their discussion. I walk aimlessly as I think hard, I didn't even realize the book is still in my hand.

I sit on a bench near the pool and my mind remembers what Adam had told me on our first day of marriage and after the honeymoon. My heart aches and unknowingly my tear rolls down as I look at their pictures, they look happy.

I've never seen Adam this happy. He must have loved her deeply for him to be able to smile like that. God, I wish I didn't see this.

I smile defeatedly as I sigh and slump onto the table covering my head with my hands.
