"Emily, I'm rushing to work don't forget to eat, okay?" My Dad shouted from the other side of my bedroom door.

"Okay." I sounded sleepy but I knew he heard me.

"See you later, I love you." He said and I heard him descending down the stairs.

"Love you too." I responded even though he couldn't hear me.

My Dad had been acting weird since the mysterious business trip, he constantly took these sudden trips and whispered on the phone a lot and he was being secretive about literally everything. I did ask him about it but he called it was nothing so I let it go.

I groaned at the throbbing headache I felt once I got out of bed, I drank too much at the bonfire party. I remembered puking in Charlie's car as he was driving me home since my boyfriend Adrian disappeared with a certain blonde girl. I wasn't mad at him though, I was just disappointed.

I stood in front of my long length mirror, a smile grew on my face when I noticed that I was wearing Charlie's oversized t-shirt, it only covered my butt but I loved it.

Charlie used to leave a lot of things when he spent the night, and I was not ashamed of keeping the t-shirts and returning the rest.

I was gonna throw them away after we broke up but we clicked again and I was drunk when I decided to wear his shirt to bed.

"DUDE!" My door flew open, I spun around and saw Adrian standing by my door_holding the doorknob.

His eyes trailed down my body and I swear to chocolate that I had never felt so exposed.

"Damn." He whispered more to himself as he flattered his lashes at my appearance.

"Don't you knock!" I picked a sock from the floor and threw it at him.

"Sorry." He covered his eyes with his hand and let himself inside my room, closing the door behind him. He blindly walked to my bed and took a sit. I grabbed my leggings and quickly slipped them on while Adrian's eyes were closed.

I noticed that he was still in the clothes he had on at the party.

"What are you doing here so early anyway?" I asked.

"Can I look now?"

"I guess." I sounded annoyed.

He quickly looked at me, I moved to plop down on the bed, sitting next to him.

"I didn't know you had sexy long legs." He playfully put his hand on my thigh, my whole leg stiffened at his touch, I slapped it and he rubbed his hand.

Jesus.

"Shut up. tell me why.. you're here so early." I stuttered while I shifted in my seat.

What the actual fuck.

He chuckled a little,"I was just on my way home and I decided to pass by and your Dad let me in. He really looked happy to see me." His ego boosted.

"Did you not go home last night?" I tucked loose strands of hair behind my ear and he watched every movement I made. It almost made me feel so... Seen.

"No." He played with my bangs, my breath immediately hitched on its own and my throat felt dry and that was the only reason why I swallowed... nothing, my mouth was dry too.

"But you left the party pretty early." I tried to act casual.

"Jen and I went carpooling." He smiled at the memory. A weird feeling twisted in my gut. I kinda wished he went carpooling with me.

"Sounds fun." I forced myself to sound happy for him.

"That surprising kiss of yours surprisingly earned me my moment in paradise." He suddenly turned and laid his body on my bed and his head on my lap, Directly looking up at my face.

Why why why why why! Why was he making everything seem so difficult for me?

"So she fucked you because I kissed you?" I tried not look bothered by his actions as I looked everywhere but his face.

"No, dear fake girlfriend, she fucked me because she wanted to." He said.

I couldn't help but picture them having sex. I was becoming out of control.

I rolled my eyes and huffed, "Whatever."

"Oh and Emily? We're not repeating last night ever again." He said.

Feeling lost and confused, I asked. "What do you mean?"

"That kiss, all that moaning and groaning and hair pulling. It almost turned me on." He whispered the last part.

Almost turned him on? Almost?

I glanced down at him and found his eyes closed.

Just thinking about that kiss gave me butterflies.

I felt so uncomfortable around him all of the sudden. It was weird but staring at his angelic face which was peacefully laying on my lap, I thought, what if my aunt was right? What if I ended up falling for Adrian and he didn't. What would I do then?

It would be like a one sided love type of shit and I didn't want that to happen. Not again atleast.

"Glad it didn't." I finally responded to his statement. He hummed softly, sounding sleepy. "Dude you gotta go home."

"As my girlfriend you have to make me breakfast." He said with his eyes still closed.

"Okay then let's go have breakfast!" I only said those words because I wanted him off my lap.

He finally sat up straight and rubbed his eye like there was something in it. I stood and strolled to my door, we walked out, rushing down the stairs_he followed closely behind me.

I stopped walking at the bottom of the stairs, Adrian bumped into my back and I stumbled forward but he placed his hands on my hips to steady me.

"Jesus." We said in Union, I turned around to face him, he had a smile on his face. I blushed and continue walking towards the kitchen.

Stepping into the kitchen I saw that my Dad had left two sandwiches on the counter, I scowled. My Dad's sandwiches tasted like shit but I never told him about it so he assumed i liked them.

I watched as Adrian grabbed one and had a bite, he closed his eyes and moaned at the thing, I liked how his jaw moved while he chewed slowly.

I had no idea why I found that hot.

"C'mon AD, it's not that nice." I said to him.

"Are you kidding me? This is the best sandwich I've ever had." He had another bite.

"Ugh, men are disgusting." I said as I opened the fridge and poured myself some juice. Adrian moved to where I was standing, he brought the sandwich to my lips and waited for me to take a bite. I looked at him with lazy eyes, keeping my mouth sealed. He brushed the food against my lips and I felt the mayonnaise dripping on my lower lip, he retrieved the sandwich and cleaned my lip with his thumb, bringing it to his mouth and sucking on it. I died.

Well...damn. Adrian, that type of stuff didn't even affect him in any way but it affected me. In every way possible.

"I'm gonna tell your Dad that you don't like his sandwiches." He said with his mouth full.

"Please do." I leaned on the counter and took a sip of my juice.

"Oh and I almost forgot to ask, how did things go with Charlie last night? I saw you walking side by side on the beach. I almost threw a tantrum but I decided against it." He sat on top of the counter and continued eating his sandwich.

His question threw me off guard and was that why he had to leave with Jen?

"Uhm.. it was... different." I stared down at the glass cup.

"Different how?" He sounded interested.

"We just talked about serious stuff." I said, meeting his gaze. he nodded off in understanding.

"Let me guess. He told you he was still in love with you and he told you he hated the fact that you were with me and not him and he tried to spoil my name." He guessed right which was not bad for a person who did not know Charlie at all.

"Well, not exactly."

"Don't believe what he says. He manipulates people and you should really move on from him once and for all." He advised.

"It's not like I'm not trying." I pointed out, taking another sip.

"You're not. I bet you are even thinking about getting back with him." He said.

"Then what am I supposed to do?" I snapped, "I've been trying to get over him every day but I just can't and feelings are not this on and off switch so excuse me for not switching them off." I blurted out angrily.

"It's not like anyone wants you to switch them off, Emily, it's just that you're not even trying to get over the guy." He raised his tone.

"I'm fake dating you, that means I'm trying." I shrugged, he shook his head and looked elsewhere.

"You're fake dating me just so you could get back with him." He looked back at me.

"Maybe I am! But so what? It's not any of your business right?" I asked, reminding him of his own words.

"It's not but as your fake boyfriend and a guy who knows Charlie, I feel like I should tell you that he doesn't fucking deserve you, there are so many good guys who you can go out with and probably fall in love with out there." He said, I couldn't help but feel a pit in my stomach.

"Thank you but no thank you." I said calmly shaking my head.

"What's that supposed to mean?" He toned down.

"Nothing." I looked away from him.

"Emily." He called my name.

"Adrian." I called back.

"Don't dig your own grave." He said.

"I'm not." I rolled my eyes to the ceiling.

He got down from the counter and stood near me, I refused to look at him.

"Look at me." He ordered calmly. I picked up the glass from the counter and navigated it in my hand. Totally ignoring him. He snatched the glass from my grasp and sat it back down then he placed his hands on my shoulders and turned my whole body, making me look at him.

"You should leave now." I looked at the exit.

"All because I talked about Charlie?" He asked, I narrowed my eyes at him.

"No, because you just have to leave." I said.

"Okay I'll leave but I'm also done helping you." He said seriously.

"Done helping me?" I snapped my brows together.

"Yes, I can't fake date you anymore." He dropped the bomb. I widened my eyes at him.

"What? Why?" I asked him, meeting his eyes glancingly.

"Believe it or not but some part of me actually cares about you and I can't stand seeing you get fucked over again." He said, shoving his hands into his pockets.

"Adrian, I'm not going to get back with him." I assured him.

"You keep saying that but I know better." He raised his shoulders.

"No you don't, and what about your grades? What are you going to do about that?" I reminded him.

"No offense but you're a shitty tutor." He uttered offensively.

"Fuck you Adrian, I've been trying my best to help you, hell I even force your ass to study and-"

"And I didn't ask you to do all of that." He cut me off, he was right, maybe I was really pushing him.

I scoffed, "Get the hell out of my house." I pointed to the exit.

"Of course, and I'll make sure that we never cross paths ever again, yeah?" He asked.

"Yeah." I pulled out my middle finger with a fake smile on my face. He just shook his head at me and grabbed the last sandwich on the counter before walking out of the kitchen.

"Damnit, what am I gonna do now?"
