Sit beside someone who knows the answers
Practically Jungkook needed to sit beside someone smart and he already knew who it was. It was his crush, you.
He was all prepared. He came to the class early just to hold the seat beside you. It was a MCQ where he just needed to tick the right answers, it would be difficult to peep a little and do that. And if you agree to cooperate it would be the easiest fetch for him to copy.
His eyes followed you from the morning assembly and now to the math class. You took your usual spot which was beside the window. Jungkook liked the main character vibe that you radiated, quiet and mysterious, all by yourself, doing your own business while looking like a model. Probably the sister of Light Yagami but nicer, he concluded. He was no close to L so he would be your Misa instead. That's all anime, he needed to focus now.
You took your seat and Jungkook slyly came walking, dodging everyone around.
"Hi" You looked up at once when you heard his voice. Your heart jumped for a moment, Jungkook usually never camps in front of your desk, you thought he probably found your identity.
"Yes?" You were nervous but didn't express, Jungkook still had a smile on his face. You didn't quite understand, did he really caught you? But he was too dumb for that....
"Can I sit?" He asked and small frown appeared, strange. Other days it was not like he noticed you much, he just spoke to you once at Taehyung's house and never again. And suddenly now when you have a math exam after a few moments which he was going to fail.
You suspected that he might came for something, perhaps cheating.

"Yeah sure" you were not that hesitant, atleast in front of him. You talk to him day and night and he was probably there for help. What a coincidence!
"So I was wondering..." he settled at the seat beside, "actually, you know I am not really a math person... so..."
"You need help right?" His eyes popped for a moment. You were right and he need not explain further.
"Yeah exactly, I am sorry, I would study harder next time, hope you don't mind" you could see the hint of embarrassment on his face, it was kinda cute.
"It's okay, I won't cover the sheet. How much you can see it's upto you" you replied and now it made Jungkook nervous.
"Is cheating a turn off for you?" You didn't expect that question all of a sudden.
"Why does it matter to you?" You ask and he was taken aback.
"No... actually I mean, if it made you mad?" He was really acting like a scared cat.
"No it isn't" you knew he was just a goofball and he doesn't really do anything which was severely bad or lies. It was just his math was a bit weak and he can't help it. "It's okay Jungkook, I don't mind, it just a terminal exam" you shrugged and he smiled.
"Thanks"
The teacher came in the greeting ritual was over. After that he distributed the papers among the students. Four sheets full of multiple choice questions, time one hour.
You continued with the answer and Jungkook continued peeping. You didn't cover your sheet infact tilted the paper slightly to help him cheat.
Jungkook was good with the sly eye game, the teacher didn't even suspect while he copied almost every single thing from your paper.
Your heart jumped at times when moved closer or when his hands touched yours. You moved further towards the wall and the window. Jungkook completely sandwiched you, and the teacher was too occupied to notice how he was almost on your lap, maybe he didn't care to notice.

You breathed out a sigh of relief when the exam was over. You were sure it was Jungkook's best math exam of his entire life. The confident smile on his face when he submitted the sheet, the way he trusted you enough to copy every single thing you marked believing it was correct made you amazed. He thought of you too highly.
He turned around with the same smile at you and muttered, "Thanks a lot!"

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
