《Forced To Buy A Vampire Slave》Valentines Day

February 14th

3:02 P.M.

"This is a non-existent holiday. It does not exist." Corey stated, taking a drink from the coffee in his hands.

The white mug was filled to the brim with black, steaming coffee.

We had just woken up several minutes ago.

I leaned over the counter, clothed in a loose black T-shirt and plaid jeans.

"You're just bitter because of last Valentines Day." I joked.

He gave me a look. "Uh, no. I just hate this holiday. It shouldn't even be a holiday. It's beyond idiotic."

"It's celebrating love."

"It's celebrating spending money on pointless gifts needed to prove your love." He retorted, his rich brown hair sticking up in the back, the loose curls haywire.

He scuffed around the kitchen in black, well-fitted jeans, shirtless and revealing all his tattoos, and gray suede moccasin slippers.

The gold-chained necklace he'd gotten for Christmas hung nicely against his bare chest.

His newest tattoo was on his left arm, a poison bottle with a skull and cross bones on it, a candle flame at the top from the bottle, melting into the body of it and vines wrapped around the entire thing.

It was mostly black but tinged in red, the vines weaving into the roses he had underneath, surrounding my name.

I shrugged.

Maybe he was right.

I just liked arguing with him.

"So, we're pretending it doesn't exist, right?" He confirmed, holding the mug close to his lips.

"If we do that you won't get your gift." I smiled coyly, turning to lean up against the counter.

His eyes narrowed slightly. "What gift?"

I pointed at myself.

"Oh, you're finally putting out?" He smirked.

"I was going to but you don't want to acknowledge the holiday, so." I shrugged.

"That's not fair. You can't do that."

"I can." I said smugly.

He made a noise of discontent and I stifled my laughter.

Drake bounded into the room, dressed in his pajamas.

"I'm in love!" He exclaimed, grinning.

"With who?" I questioned, puzzled.

He started dancing around me, humming.

"Drake," I grabbed and stilled him. "What are you talking about?"

"This girl I've been seeing. She's the one, Bells. I found my soulmate. I finally know what you and Corey have been prattling on about."

I made a face at that. "Uh huh, that's great. What's her name?"

"Adeline."

I pursed my lips, my arms crossed.

"You have to meet her. We'll do a double date, tonight."

"Aw, hell no." Corey muttered, drinking his coffee.

"I don't know..." I trailed off.

"Please?" Drake pleaded.

I sighed, not able to resist.

"Fine."

He beamed. "I'll go make plans now. Yay!" He darted off, out of the kitchen.

"Do I have to?" Corey whined.

"I can take Reaver as my date instead." I commented slyly.

"No." He said quickly. "I'll go."

I smiled. "That's what I thought."

8:04 P.M.

"Stop fooling with the radio." I smacked his hand away.

"There's never anything good on." Corey complained, putting his hand back to the wheel.

He was dressed in his black jeans still, but with a ruffle, white tuxedo shirt tucked in, unbuttoned loosely at the top, and his black boots.

I loved the shirt on him, it fit him well, showing off his toned arms and slim waist.

He had black Ray-Ban sunglasses on, covering his bright green eyes, and his dark hair was the usual messy waves.

A cigarette dangled from his cherry-red lips, sending smoke into the already stuffy car.

"At least put in a CD for me?" He complained, swerving the car as it almost rear-ended someone, and darting out into traffic.

He drove like a god-damn maniac.

But he looked sexy while he did it.

"Which one?" I inquired, glancing around.

We were driving the vintage Mustang, his favorite recently.

"Uh..." He drawled, shifting the car's gears.

"Sex Pistols." He pointed at a CD jammed into a crack.

I wedged it out, putting the disc in.

I sat back, exhaling in content.

We were on our way to the restaurant to meet Drake and Adeline, his supposed soulmate.

Wonder how long this will last.

I was dressed in black skinny jeans, hugging my long, slender legs snuggly, and a black Bess NYC vintage T-shirt, hanging loosely over my lanky frame.

I had studded, high-heeled boots on and a black, well-fitted blazer.

My black hair was straight, my bangs falling messily around my face.

"I'm not looking forward to this." Corey noted cynically, looking behind him as he cut in front of cars, swerving in and out of lanes at 80 miles per hour.

"I know." I replied over the music. "Just be pleasant."

He scoffed, pulling the mirror down to check himself out in it.

"I don't know how to be." He claimed, flipping the mirror back up and puffing smoke out into the air.

"Sure you do, just don't be rude."

He made a face, that I saw.

I laughed to myself.

People honked their horns at us, tires screeching.

"Will you calm down with the insane driving?" I smiled. "You're going to hit someone."

"Hit and run." He commented, attention on the road and his lunatic driving.

"And then hit again." He muttered under his breath, turning the wheel to make a sharp turn into the parking lot of the restaurant.

I shook my head faintly, smiling.

I saw Drake out front, with a girl standing by his side.

She was his height, in heels.

Her hair was bright red, naturally it looked, and cut a few inches past her shoulders with long, side-swept bangs.

Her skin was ivory, with light freckles over her face.

She was dressed in a black dress, fishnet tights and red heels.

Her arms were covered in tattoos, but not completely, and her makeup was subtle but her eyeliner thick.

"Fucking kill me now." Corey muttered before getting out of the car.

I took in a breath, stepping out of the vehicle.

Corey drew on the end of his cigarette, walking by my side as we headed towards them.

He already looked arrogant and bored.

"This better not take long." He said.

"It won't." I assured.

He grimaced, as if not believing me.

"Hey, guys," Drake smiled. "This is Adeline."

I smiled. "Hey,"

"Adeline, this is my sister, Arabelle."

"Hi," She shook my hand."I've heard so much about you."

I nodded. "Thanks."

I couldn't say the same.

"And this is Corey, Arabelle's long-lost love."

She smiled, holding out her hand."Hi,"

Corey ignored the gesture, taking a drag on the cigarette.

"Hey," He said, his rough voice laced in utter boredom.

I rolled my eyes.

Adeline took back her hand, still smiling faintly.

"Don't mind him," I assured. "He's in a bad mood because he hates Valentines Day."

He turned his gaze to me, pouty and arrogant.

"Am not."

"Are too." I smiled, taking the cigarette from his lips.

I tossed it. "Should we head in?" I suggested.

"Yeah," Drake agreed, ushering Adeline towards the door with him.

Corey followed me, his lips set in a pout and his arms crossed.

"Stop pouting." I smiled.

"You took my cigarette." He mumbled, not looking at me.

I stifled a laugh. "You can't smoke in restaurants."

He exhaled shortly in disdain.

"I know, I know, you hate it, it's stupid, but save the complaining for later." I pushed him into the doors.

The dinner was spent with idle chatter, mostly from Drake going on about Adeline, and when we could her and I exchanged words.

Corey said nothing, sitting back in his chair, his leanly muscled arms crossed, white sleeves rolled up and revealing his tattoos.

He kept his sunglasses on and I couldn't tell what he was glaring at.

Though, I was sure he was glaring.

"I'm gonna go out for a smoke before dessert." Drake stated, getting up from his chair.

"Corey, you wanna come?"

Corey immediately got to his feet. "Yes."

Drake gave a little smile to Adeline who returned it.

"Be right back." He kissed her cheek.

Corey leaned down beside me, his back to them and his palm on the table.

"Hey, you wanna have sex in the bathroom when I get back?"

He smirked, talking lowly.

I held back my smile, rolling my eyes. "Our first time is definitely not going to be in a restaurant bathroom."

"Why not? It's memorable."

I shook my head, pushing him lightly to get moving.

"Go smoke."

He stood up straight. "Fine."

Drake and him walked out, I watched until they rounded the corner and were out of sight.

"Wow," Adeline said, breathing a laugh.

"Your boyfriend is hot!" She smiled.

My eyebrows rose slightly. "Uh-yeah, yeah he's good-looking."

"That's an understatement. Wish I could get a guy like that."

My lips pressed together. "You have Drake."

"Well yeah," She smiled. "And he's sweet and all but it's not like he's top-notch, you know, it gets better."

"I'm sorry, what?" I leaned forward.

"How long have you two been together? You and Corey?"

"We're not actually together anymore." I claimed, slightly affronted.

"Really?" She questioned, her tone high. "Huh,"

"Yeah," I said sarcastically, my arms crossed.

She didn't seem to notice, lost in thought.

Drake and Corey came back in and we ordered dessert.

I noticed Adeline shooting glances to Corey throughout the rest of dinner.

I was glad when we finally left, more than willing to get out of there.

Drake and I stood out on the sidewalk, giving each other a hug goodbye.

"Hey, Adeline's talking to Corey."

Drake noted.

I pulled back, glancing over to them.

Adeline smiled flirtatiously, saying something I couldn't overhear.

I watched as Corey took off his sunglasses, his eyes dark.

He said something then smiled slowly, looking a bit evil.

I saw Adeline's expression go blank, her gaze going to his fangs.

She mumbled something, stumbling back.

She turned, striding quickly to Drake's car.

"Huh," Drake uttered, exchanging glances with me.

I smiled. "See you later, Drake."

He nodded, his expression puzzled. "Yeah,"

"And break-up with her. She's probably cheating on you."

He pursed his lips.

I walked off, over to the Mustang.

I got in the passenger side, exhaling lightly.

Corey was sitting behind the wheel, sunglasses back on.

"What'd you say to her?" I inquired curiously.

He simply smiled, putting the car in reverse and backing out.

When we got back to the house it was basically straight upstairs, to my room.

Reaver was out again, in the demon universe.

Apparently he had a job there.

A real-estate agent, he said.

I was standing by the closet, kicking off my high-heeled boots.

The light clicked off, leaving the room dim.

I paused, glancing behind me.

Corey came up, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I believe you owe me a present." He stated lowly.

"Do I?"

He turned me around to face him, our eyes meeting.

He moved forward, pushing my back to the wall.

"Yes," His lips met mine in a slow, tantalizing kiss.

"-You do."

My knees went weak.

Resisting was already seeming out of the option.

His lips went back to mine, his hands pulling off my jacket and tossing it to the floor.

My hands were at his waist, moving up to unbutton his shirt.

"Arabelle," He breathed, pulling back enough to speak.

"-I love you so much."

I smiled, slipping his shirt off.

"I love you too."

He grinned and picked me up, moving us to the bed.

I gazed into his green eyes from under him.

"You're gorgeous." I smiled.

His lips tilted at the end in a smirk.

"You're more gorgeous."

Our lips met again and we continued where we left off.
