Chapter 46:
I couldn't imagine ever wanting to do this with anyone besides Corey.
But was right now really the best time?
I mean if we're going to have sex for the first time I kind of want it to be for other reason besides we really want to.
We're not even together anymore, how is this is going to effect us? Does this mean we're back together?
Sure it's going to be amazingly blissful at the time but what about afterwards?
I was extremely confused by how he was acting, he broke up with me on our wedding day and yet now we're going to have sex?
This doesn't make sense.
I was struggling to keep my mind focused as Corey's lips caressed my skin.
It's so tempting to just give in and let things flow as they will and not worry or think about anything until after all it's done with.
But then I won't be able to do anything about it.
Why is it much easier to not make decisions and to not care then it is to actually deliberate something and decide what's best.
And I knew that if I did it now I would feel guilty; really guilty.
As if perfect timing there was a quick knock on the door to my bedroom.
Corey looked up at me with a sigh. "Do the people in this house ever leave you alone?"
I shrugged lightly.
There was another knock and Drake's voice came from the other side; "Bells, I'm sorry if you're busy, oh who am I kidding you're not busy. I thought you'd want to come say bye to Mom and Dad. Hello? Anyone in there?"
Corey got off of me, looking slightly irritated.
I looked around the dim room for my clothes.
"Where are my clothes?" I asked, my eyes straining to find a familiar piece of clothing.
"I don't know." Corey said nonchalantly. "Just get some from the closet."
Drake knocked on the door again. "Hello-o-o-o-o?!"
"I'm coming, Drake!" I replied, sliding off the bed and heading for my closet, dressed only in my underwear.
"Okay, what are you doing to take so long?"
I ignored him and walked into my closet.

I grabbed a loose black T-shirt and slid it on over my bare chest and yanked on a pair of dark blue skinny jeans.
I turned to leave the closet and ran into Corey.
His arms wrapped around me and I looked up at him.
He kissed me lightly and said: "We're going to continue this later, right?"
"Uh...yeah." I replied.
I meant to say no; I thought to myself.
"Good. I love you."
"Yeah," I broke out of his grasp and walked away.
I think he wanted me to say it back. Why didn't I?
I pushed away the thought and opened the door; Drake was standing there looking extremely impatient.
"What are you doing?" He asked suspiciously.
"Nothing, god." I responded, sounding defensive and somewhat annoyed even though I wasn't.
"Okay, jeez."
I started absentmindedly biting my nails.
"Hey, where's your purity ring?" He inquired, looking at my hand.
I couldn't stop the look of alarm that passed over my face at first.
I looked down for a moment. "Uh, it fell off. I'm looking for it."
I put my hand in my pocket, biting my lower lip as I glanced around awkwardly.
"Oh god, Bells don't tell me-
Corey appeared beside me in the doorway, now fully dressed.
"What are you guys talking about?" He questioned.
"Arabelle's purity ring, she's not wearing it." Drake stated. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about that would you?" He questioned scathingly.
"Actually-
My eyes widened slightly. Was he going to tell Drake?
What would he tell him?
Corey lifted up his hand, a silver ring between his fingers. "I found it on the floor, must have fallen off."
He handed it to me.
I took it and looked up at him. "Thanks."
He nodded.
I slipped it back on my finger then looked back at Drake who was watching us skeptically.
"Anyways," Drake spoke. "Mom and Dad are leaving for a few days, and then I think they're going to find a house somewhere else. So it's just going to be us living here-well and that Reaver guy."
"Oh," I said.
I didn't think they'd be leaving this soon.

"Yeah, so we should go say goodbye before they leave."
I nodded and followed Drake as he headed down the hall to Mom and Dad's room.
Mom was packing things into a suitcase on the bed and Dad was in the doorway of their walk-in closet.
"Mommy!" Drake exclaimed jumping onto the maroon clad bed.
Mom laughed, shaking her head slightly.
I breathed a laugh.
"Come on, Arabelle." Drake said. "Let's get Dad."
I shook my head.
"Aw come on, why are you always like this?" He whined.
He got off the bed and took my hand, dragging me along.
He collided into Dad, giving him a hug.
Dad chuckled.
"Come on, Bells, join in." Drake encouraged.
I sighed and wrapped my arms around my Dad's tall, thin frame, feeling extremely short compared to him; though I was the shortest in the family.
"Mom! Mommy!" Drake called. "Get over here!"
Mom came over and wrapped her arms around Dad and Drake, making me in the middle.
"Eh, I'm getting squished." I said.
I don't think anybody heard me.
"Hey Corey, come on. Get in on this." I heard Drake say.
"Uh, no, no thanks. I don't think that would be appropriate." Corey replied softly.
"Aw man, it's totally appropiate. You're like a brother to me."
"Aw," I muttered, not being able to help myself.
Drake can be so sweet sometimes.
I wish I could see Corey's reaction to that.
"Come on, Corey." Drake pleaded. "Please, please, please."
"No, I-I really, I can't."
"I will drag you, I swear to god."
Corey didn't say anything.
"That's it." Drake broke away and went over to Corey.
I let go of my Dad, Drake gripped Corey's arm and literally dragged him over to where the rest of us were standing.
"Now, Join in. Arabelle, don't break the hug damn it." Drake said.
"Okay, God." I replied.
Drake wrapped an arm around Corey and one around Dad.
Corey kind of stood there awkwardly; Drake took Corey's arm and slung it around his shoulder.
My Mom who was standing next to Corey wrapped an arm around him.
Drake grinned. "See, everyone's happy now." He started singing 'We're a happy family' by the Ramones.
Corey didnt' look any less uncomfortable
I was happily surprised by how nice everyone was being, I mean I really didn't expect for my Mom to hug Corey but I did kind of expect Drake to.
Drake stopped singing and sighed. "This is nice. So um...Dad, can I have ten thousand dollars?"
"For what?" Dad asked, surprised.
"I want to make my own brand of alcohol. I'm in the testing stages right now; I need more money for ingredients."
Dad sighed. "We'll talk about it later."
"Okay!" Drake looked over at Corey. "Ya' like alcohol?"
"Uh, yeah." Corey replied.
"Good. You're my tester."
Drake broke away from the hug. "Okay, I guess I'll let everyone get back to their lives now."
Mom and Dad went back to packing.
Drake looked at me and whispered; "I'll let you have some booze too."
I breathed a laugh.
"I'm gonna have you two both drunker than two bunnies in a bar." He smiled at me and Corey. "Meet me in the kitchen in an hour. I need to go get my ingredients. Oh this is so exciting!" He ran out of the room.
Corey and I walked out, making our way back to my room.
"I'm-uh-I'm sorry if Drake made you uncomfortable earlier." I said to Corey.
"No, it's fine. Maybe I shouldn't have been so uncomfortable to begin with but I-I'm just not used to...group hugs, I guess. I-I'm just not comfortable around people to begin with so..." He breathed a laugh.
We walked into my room; Corey closed the door to my bedroom and I stood in the middle of my room, my back to him as I looked around.
I forget sometimes how it must really be uncomfortable for Corey a lot of the time in social situations, I mean I can only imagine the way he sees us, humans after everything he's been through...
I felt Corey's arms wrap around me, pulling me against him and it broke me out of my thoughts.
I felt his lips against my neck. "So why don't we finish what we were doing earlier..."
