Chapter 45:
I walked out of the office with Reaver by my side.
I saw Drake and William standing in the main room talking while Corey stood by end of the staircase.
Reaver turned to me; "I should speak to your parents about this, just so they know."
I nodded. "Yeah, that's a good idea."
He smiled and kissed my cheek. "I'll see you later."
He exited the room and I walked over towards Drake and William.
"Who was that?" Drake asked.
"His names Reaver." I replied. "He's going to be staying here."
"What?" Drake asked. "I'm confused. Do you know him?"
"I do now."
"But you didn't ten minutes ago?"
"Yeah,"
"So why's he living with us?"
"He's going to be helping me while I'm Queen."
"Oh...okay. How old is he?"
"20..."
I saw Corey walk past me.
"Where are you going?" I asked him curiously.
He stopped and turned around. "I was, um, I was just going to...um, I was just walking. Why? Do you need me to stay here?"
"No." I said.
He turned and continued out of the room.
"What's going on with you and Corey, Bells?" Drake asked.
"Nothing." I stated casually. "Oh you mean, yeah, he's my slave."
Drake's eyes widened slightly. "Really? Like for real?"
"Yeah, it was his choice."
"Well I can see why he would choose that. It's the best option plus he gets to still be around you."
"I don't think he's worried about being around me, Drake. He did break up with me."
"Yeah, but he still loves you."
"You don't know that."
"I know everything."
I shook my head.
"Well I think I should be going." William said, heading for the door.
"Oh, thanks for coming. And for the record I do like you. You're a lot nicer than I thought you were." I said to him.
He smiled. "Thanks, love. I like you too."
I smiled.
Drake coughed trying to cover a laugh.
"You haven't forgotten about what I said before, about the revolt? 'Cause since you're Queen now you should be thinking about that." William said.
I nodded. "Right, yeah, I remember."
"Good. Well, I'll see you around."
"Um, when will I see you again?" I inquired.
"Oh trust me I'll be sure to become a nuisance."
I breathed a laugh. "Okay."
He left; after the door closed I turned to Drake who was grinning.
"What?" I asked.
"You like the vampire slayer. That's a huge step forward from a vampire." He said.
"I don't like him."
"You just said you did."
"I meant in a friend way, he knows that."
"Does he? 'Cause I think he meant that he liked you in more than a friend way."

I shook my head. "I highly doubt he likes me in that way, I'm just not his type."
"What's his type then?"
"Not me."
"Whatevs. I'm always right." He stated simply.
"Hardly."
"Go do something Queen-ish, I have coffee to tend to."
"Oh just go." I said jokingly.
He stuck his tongue out at me and headed towards the kitchen.
"This is why you couldn't be King." I called to him.
He waved a dismissive hand and disappeared from the room.
Shortly after he left Reaver appeared. "Everything's set. I'll be back tonight." He said to me.
I nodded. "Good."
"I really look forward to working with you, your majesty."
"Yeah,"
He took my hand and lightly kissed it then left.
I sprinted upstairs and to my room, I turned in the door way to close the door behind me.
I almost jumped when I saw Corey standing directly behind me. "Will you make noise or something? I hate it when you do that." I said.
I could tell he was trying not to laugh. "Sorry."
"No your not. You think it's funny."
He shrugged and continued to look at me.
"Are you going to come in so I can close the door?" I asked.
"Oh! Yeah." He walked inside.
I shook my head.
"Can I talk to you about something?" He asked.
"I don't know can you? Or is it against the rules for a slave to talk to someone?" I said sarcastically.
"That's not funny."
"I wasn't trying to be funny, I was trying to make fun of you." I stated.
"You're really mad at me aren't you?"
"Yeah," I replied obviously."But that's okay because since you're my slave I can make you do anything I want you to so I can get revenge."
"You know how you can get revenge?"
"How?"
"If you make me have sex with you." He stated with a grin.
I tried to hold back a smile. "Well then if you don't have sex with me I'll throw you in the dungeon."
"What is this dungeon you always speak of?" he asked.
"There's a secret door that leads to it."
"Where's the secret door?"
"Under the bed." I said, pointing to it.
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah." I replied. "And there's a hobbit that guards the door."
"OMG." He said with mock astonishment.
I fell to my knees laughing when he said that.
I leaned back against the wall when I was finally done laughing.
He came over and sat down in front of me. "Now can we be serious for a few seconds?"
I nodded, regaining my composure.
"Okay, so about this Reaver guy."
"Oh god." I groaned.
"Just listen, I really think you should consider this a little bit more. He seems...weird. I don't know how to explain it, there's something about him that's off."

"You're just paranoid." I said.
"No, no listen to me. I'm serious there's something really wrong about him."
"Like what?"
"I don't know..."
"You don't know? Well gee, that's really convincing, Corey."
He sighed. "Does he at least have to live here?"
"It will make things easier if he does."
"You don't think there's something weird about him at all?" he questioned.
"No, I like him."
"You like just about anybody don't you?"
"Unless they give me a reason not to."
"Huh, I just automatically hate everyone."
"I've noticed."
"I don't hate you." He stated. "That's something that wont change."
"Unless I throw you in the dungeon."
"Well then I'll just have to kill you."
"Ha."
He just stared at me.
"Wait are you serious?" I asked.
"No."
"You look really serious."
"I'm not." He stated.
"Okay then..."
"So about Reaver-"
"Oh my god." I stood up. "Enough about Reaver."
He stood up as well. "Fine." He said, crossing his arms.
"Oh my god, don't sulk."
"I'm not." He muttered darkly.
"Uh huh, now make yourself useful and do something."
He scoffed. "Like what?"
"Ummm, clean this room."
He started cleaning and I went to my computer.
I looked over at him as he picked up stuff off the floor, I saw him put a piece of small red clothing in his back pocket.
"What was that?" I asked.
He looked at me. "What?"
"What did you put in your pocket?"
"Huh? Nothing." He said.
"I saw you put something in your pocket."
He shook his head. "No, I don't know what you're talking about."
He looked away and I saw him grin briefly.
I tried to think of what he could've put in his pocket. The only things that were over there were the clothes I changed out of yesterday.
What the hell did he have?
"Seriously what do you have?" I asked him.
"Nothing I don't know what you're talking about."
"Yes you do. You have to tell me, you're my slave."
"Well then punish me." He stated casually. "'Cause I'm not going to tell you."
I turned back to my computer. "You're annoying."
"So are you."
I glared at the computer screen. "I wish I could hurt you."
"You can, just use something besides your own hands. Or get a cross. I know you have some."
I tried to ignore him, leaning closer to the screen.
"I could get something for you if you want. A knife, cross, hammer..."
why won't he just shut up?
"Fire," He offered. "That hurts."
After a minute of him still going on I looked at him; "You know I'm not listening, right?"
"Screwdriver-I could tell. So no matter how mad I make you you're not going to do anything to me?"
I shrugged.
"I want blood." He stated.
"Okay, you know where it is."
"Yeah, right in front of me."
I looked at him cynically. "That's it; I'm getting this dungeon built."
He smiled, walking over to me.
"Do not." I warned.
He leaned closer to me, putting his hands on the back of my chair.
"Did I tell you how good your blood was?" He inquired. "'Cause it was really good. It'd be a shame if I only had it once." He leaned even closer and I stood up, which just made me closer to him.
My mind searched for a way to distract him or stop him.
Suddenly a thought sparked; this was either going to work and distract him or make him really mad.
I pressed my lips against his with as much passion as I could muster.
This had distracted him before so hopefully it will again though a small part of me doubted that it would.
I could tell he was very much surprised by my unexpected kiss.
He tried to break away but I didn't let him.
I tightly wrapped my arms around his neck and he started kissing me back.
I smiled on the inside. Maybe this will work after all.
He pulled away, "Stop-"
I cut him off and went back to kissing him.
He backed up against the wall, he pulled away again. "Please, stop, seriously." He breathed.
"No." My lips went back to his and my hand glided up his stomach.
He broke away yet again. "Seriously, I have no self control. For love of god-"
He cut off when my fingers trailed across the lower part of his stomach, directly above the line of his jeans.
He made a noise that was close to a moan but not quite and he fell to his knees.
"You okay?" I asked him, looking down.
He shook his head.
"What's wrong?"
He wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his head against my stomach, with his eyes closed.
He took in a shaky breath.
I was starting to get slightly worried.
"I love you." He breathed. "I love you, I love you."
His hands slid to my jeans where he unbuttoned them. "I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you." He muttered.
"Corey, are you okay?" I asked.
"I love when you say my name." He moaned.
"Um, but are you okay?"
"I love your voice."
"Seriously, are you okay?"
"I don't know." He slid up my shirt and began lightly kissing my stomach. "I can't think about anything except you...just you. Which isn't that different from any other time. You're so intoxicating."
"Are you having a breakdown or something?" I asked.
He breathed a laugh. "It's very likely. But I don't care."
"I can tell."
He looked up at me. "I want you. No, I need you. Right now."
I looked at him for a moment before I kneeled down and kissed him.
"Thank you." He said when we broke apart. "Take off the ring."
I slipped off the purity ring and tossed it across the room.
He smiled and crashed his lips against mine.
