"First stop, slayer." Nick said.

We stood in a cemetery just a few miles from the house.

Trey and I followed Nick inside the crypt, it was dark but the place was lit by candles so you could actually see. There was a figure sitting on a big wooden chest, they're back turned to us.

Trey hesitated, not going any further.

"Haven't you ever heard of knocking?" Came a british voice.

They turned: it was a guy, he looked fairly young. He had wavy bleach blonde hair- the type that was practically white that was somewhat short but had longer pieces in the front swept to one side, falling slightly in his eyes. His skin was pale and he had very prominent cheekbones, giving him that pouting look. He was dressed in black jeans and a black T-shirt along with black worn out combat boots.

"Yeah, sorry about that." Nick said simply. "I brought someone to see you."

He hopped off the chest, a book in his hand and walked forward, his eyes on me. "Is this...the princess?" He asked with a wry smile.

"Yep." Nick replied.

"And what is the princess doing here? In my humble home?"

"Well I thought since your trying to kill her faincee she should at least meet you."

My eyes widened but I quickly cleared my expression.

"Arabelle, this is William: the slayer." Nick introduced.

William came closer to me, he trailed a finger along my jawline. "So princess, where is your faincee?"

I took a step away from him.

"He's at their house." Nick said.

William smiled. "I think my jobs going to be easier than I thought."

"And what exactly is your job?" I asked him.

"Well as of right now, its killing your vampire."

"Why?"

"What do you mean why? You're marrying him. That means he's going to be King. Of the country. We can't have a vampire as the King. Its not gonna happen. Not to mention, there is a lot of people in the...underworld that want him dead."

"What underworld?" I asked.

"What you think its just vampires? There's all kinds of things that you don't know about."

Nick was grinning and Trey was standing by the door.

"Nick, why exactly are you hanging out with a...slayer?" I asked him. "Oh well-"

William interjected. "He came to me. He said he knew where I could find Corey, help me kill him."

I looked at Nick. "Wow you never stop being a jackass do you?"

Nick looked guilty. "I'm only doing what's best for you."

"Shut up." I told him.

William chuckled. "So, princess-"

"Arabelle." I stated.

"Mind taking me to your house so I can finish the job?" he continued. "I got a lot of money waiting for me."

"Uh, no, actually I think I'll be leaving now." I swiftly headed towards the door. "Arabelle," Nick pleaded. "What are you doing? Are you going to walk home?"

"Yeah, 'cause I sure as hell don't want to be in the same car as you." I replied.

I walked out of the crypt, swiftly making my way through the cemetery 'till I found the small gate.

I climbed over it and began walking quickly down the road.

I can't believe I agreed to go with him.

"Hey," I heard a voice call.

It wasn't Nick 'cause he didn't have a british accent.

William caught up to me, he now had a long black leather coat on that reached almost to the ground. "You can't walk home by yourself, little girl." He said.

"I think I'll be okay." I replied mockingly.

"Oh you don't understand. This place is crawling with the little buggers-vampires that is. And their planning a revolt."

"What? How do you know this?"

"You hear a lot in my type of work."

"What kind of revolt?" I asked.

"The kind where they massacre the whole bloody town." He replied. "Including you and your little boy toy."

"When?"

He shrugged. "Lots of talk going around, they're pulling in more resources. Demons, mostly. My guess is probably within the next month."

I was stunned. "Well what's going to happen when they do?"

"One word: chaos. They're gonna take over the whole town. Then the next, then the next-"

"I get it." I interrupted.

"So, now you see what I mean about it not being safe for you to walk home alone. If one 'em sees you walking around, they're not gonna hesitate to kill you."

We continued walking, me being too wrapped up in my thoughts to notice much as else.

"Look, I don't really wanna hurt you." William spoke. "But I'm going to kill Corey. I just hope you don't try to stop me because you won't be able to. This has to happen."

"Why would I let you kill the love of my life?" I asked.

"Love of your life, ay?" He placed a cigarette between his lips and lit it with a metal zippo lighter. "I just thought you were marrying him to get attention."

I stopped walking. "Why the hell would I want that kind of attention?"

He shrugged. "Whatever you get kicks out of, doesn't bother me. I just didn't believe someone actually liked a vampire." He spoke with the cigarette still in his mouth. "Guess I was wrong, huh?"

"Yeah." I replied.

"Ya know I got my car, we don't have to walk."

"No thanks."

"Aw come on, its not like I'm gonna hurt you. I'm not after you." He stated. "Besides, the cars right up there." He pointed up a small rode beside the cemetery.

I sighed. "Fine."

I followed him up the road, to a black, beat-up Ford Thunderbird.

As he walked around to the other side I got in the passenger seat.

I noticed that the windows and wind sheald were blacked-out except for a small clearing in the wind sheald.

"What's up with the windows?" I asked him.

"Its so I can drive in the sun." He replied.

"What do you mean?"

"The sun, birdie, it does quite a bit of damage on me."

"Really? So you can't go out in the sun?"

"Well I still do-though it takes technique. I have to make sure the sun doesn't touch my skin or it'll burn like bloody hell." He rolled down the window a bit and flicked his ciggarette.

"What exactly are you? Are you human?" I asked.

He glanced at me while driving. "No. I'm...a vampire."

"But you said you were a vampire slayer."

"I know. I got turned into a vampire a long time ago by one of the vamps I was trying to kill. I was already a slayer at the time so I figured I'd just conitnue, since I was devoted to it. It's my life. I wasn't about to give it up because I made one mistake."

"But I thought vampires not being able to go in the sun was just a myth." I said.

"No. Sun hurts the older vamps. The newer ones have a resistance."

"Oh."

"Yup."

"But how can you kill something you are?" I asked.

"I'm not like them. I'm a still slayer. I'm just even stronger now." He gave a small closed-lip smile. "So where's ya house at?"

"Um, you know what you can just drop me off here." I said, noticing we were only about a half a mile from my house.

"There's no use in avoiding it, I'm gonna find out where you live. Most likely very soon. I could follow you if I dropped you off here. Or I could get Nick to tell me. Or-"

"Okay, I get it. There's no avoiding you founding out where I live. Just keep going up this road. You won't miss it, it's huge."

He nodded.

We continued driving and reached the house a minute later.

He stopped the car on the side of the road, just before the start of the driveway. I opened the car door.

"I'll be seeing you very soon, little girl." He smiled at me, his fangs were hardly noticable, just a bit more pointy than the rest of his teeth.

I looked at him briefly before getting out of the car and walking inside. I trudged up the steps to my room.

How the hell am I gonna explain all this to Corey?
