《King of The Vamps》Chores

Amaryllis was woken up in the early morning by a knocking at the door. She got out of bed and cringed when her feet met the cold stone floor. She was right, the thin cover did nothing to keep her body heat in; she was freezing all throughout the night.
When Amaryllis opened the door she came face to face with a young looking girl. She was pleased to see a human rather than a bloodthirsty vampire that she thought was knocking at the door.
The girl was around her height with light brown hair. Her eyes were green but did not have a red ring around them, showing that she was a human.
She must be a human servant, Amaryllis thought to herself.
"Hi," the girl said. "My name is Cameron. King Ulric has ordered me to give you these clothes and escort you to the dining area where you will be given your chores for the day." Cameron handed Amaryllis the clothes, a pair of black pants and a white t-shirt.
"Come out when you get dressed and I will take you to the King," Cameron told her and then shut the door, giving Amaryllis privacy to change.
Amaryllis stripped her clothes off that she had been wearing from the day before at the Harvest. She slid on her new clothes and then quickly opened the door. She didn't want to leave her little cell, but she figured it would be best if she didn't leave the King waiting for too long.
Cameron started walking back up the stairs that Amaryllis had walked down last night. "Excuse me?" Amaryllis said timidly, scared a vampire would hear her speaking.
The girl turned around and smiled at Amaryllis, telling her to continue. "Where are the other girls?" She asked.
"They were taken to a different building. It's a part of the Kingdom that is closed off from the castle, it only connects to the castle from underground tunnels. That is where I, as well as every human, sleep. I don't know why the King demanded you sleep in the dungeons. My quarters aren't great, as the King doesn't like humans, but mine is much better than where you are." Cameron gave her a sympathetic look but continued walking on.
How nice, Amaryllis thought to herself. The king hates me and I have no idea why.
"How long have you been here?" Amaryllis asked Cameron. Amaryllis wasn't a talkative or a very social person, but she needed to talk to another human to get her mind off of things.

"I've been here for a year. I came from a town about an hour away. I was chosen at the Harvest," Cameron replied. "Being here isn't that bad. It's scary at first, but you get used to it. Just don't disrespect the vampires or walk alone at night and you should be fine." Cameron gave Amaryllis a smile, but that didn't help calm her nerves.
Amaryllis made a mental note to never walk alone, but she had apparently already disrespected a vampire. Not just a normal vampire, she had supposedly disrespected the King Vampire.
"We are here," Cameron said. She pulled the two large wooden doors open to reveal a grand dining room. There were circular tables set up, as well as a singular rectangle table. Amaryllis assumed the rectangular table was for the Royals.
Cameron pushed Amaryllis into the room and then walked away after giving Amaryllis a thumbs up. Amaryllis walked into the room and took a seat on the floor next to Kayla; Kayla just sneered at her.
Amaryllis wondered why the girls were sitting on the floor. She assumed the King did not want such disgraceful creatures touching his things.
All of the girls were dressed in the same clothes. Kayla did not like the clothing apparently because Amaryllis heard her complaining about them to the girl beside her.
Amaryllis didn't mind the clothes. At least they got clothes and weren't forced to wear rags or go nude.
The doors to the dining room soon slammed shut and all hushed whispers from the girls around her were silenced.
Amaryllis peaked her head up and noticed a large man walking toward the group. She immediately recognized him as the King because her body began to buzz.
Some guards also walked in behind the King. Amaryllis figured they would take the girls to their assigned positions.
The King walked in front of the group of girls and stood still, his eyes analyzing the creatures in front of him.
While he was a vampire, he did not have any craving to dig into any of these women because he had learned restraint many centuries ago. All vampires are taught to restrain themselves.
He did, however, have trouble keeping his gaze from the strawberry blonde sitting at the end of the line. She was the girl that tried to hide at the reaping the day before. The same girl that made his body buzz and his hands burn to touch her. The same girl that he wanted to sink his fangs into in order to have just one taste.

He knew what this might mean, but he was in denial. He was the vampire King; King of the greatest species on Earth. He did not need a mate, especially not a human mate.
He knew he needed to stay away from the girl. He could not risk other vampires finding out about her.
He refused to be a mated man. And he refused to tolerate a disrespectful human. After hiding herself at the Harvest, he knew he needed to punish her. He would make her sleep in the dungeons while the other humans have their own quarters designated for the human servants. The King refused to have such blatant disrespect ignored.
Amaryllis took note of what he was wearing. He was dressed in a black t-shirt that clung nicely to his defined muscles. She could see the ridges of his arms and torso under the shirt. He was also wearing a black leather jacket and dark blue jeans that fit his muscled legs nicely. His feet were clad in steel-toed boots and his hands were resting behind his back.
Amaryllis breathed in his masculine, woodsy scent as he walked past. She thought he smelled amazing. She was also amazed by his inhuman height. She had never seen such a tall human, let alone vampire in her entire life.
Amaryllis could not stop staring into his eyes. She was entranced by his eyes; beautiful silver rings wrapped around his black pupils. She could see little slivers of color racing through the black pupils. Beautiful, she thought.
He displayed such a raw, masculine beauty that she couldn't help but be ridiculously attracted to. She could tell the other girls were attracted to him as well, and she felt a tinge of jealousy.
That alarmed Amaryllis as she had never been jealous of others before. Besides, why should she be jealous anyway? He wasn't hers. Why would she want to be with him anyway? He was a monster.
Even though she knew he was a monster, she couldn't help but wonder why her skin tingled and her heart rate accelerated every time she saw him.
"I'm King Ulric," the man boomed. "I have selected all of you to serve me and my people in some way." His voice was deep and husky. Amaryllis felt herself shiver in delight at the sound of his voice.
"You," the King pointed to the girl at the opposite end of the line. The girl was named Mackenzie. She was in the grade below Amaryllis in school. She was a very pretty girl, standing a few inches shorter than Amaryllis with dark brown hair and blue eyes.
"You will work in the kitchen," King Ulric said and nodded to a guard standing behind us. The guard then moved from his position and dragged Mackenzie up and told her to follow him.
Amaryllis knew that vampires ate other things than blood. She had seen vampires eating other foods when they were in her town. Blood was just the only thing that could satisfy their hunger.
Soon, Danielle was told to work in the stables, and Heather and Amanda were told to work as maids. Then it was down to Kayla and Amaryllis.
"The both of you will work as my personal servants. You will come when I tell you and you will meet my demands. Do you understand?" Both girls nodded.
Kayla looked happy to be his personal servant as she had a very seductive smile on her face. Amaryllis was disgusted that she was even thinking about such activities when they were just ripped away from their homes by the man standing in front of them. She was also slightly jealous.
He told the girls to come with him, so they both quickly got up to follow him. Amaryllis had to practically jog to keep up with his fast pace.
They got to a secluded part of the castle that was entered into by its own double doors.
"I have my own wing of the castle that the other workers are not allowed in. Blonde girl, you will do my laundry and it will be done by the middle of the day. Fold everything and leave the baskets on the counter," he said, referring to Kayla. "You," he said pointing at Amaryllis. "I want the floors swept and mopped, and the hallways dusted by the middle of the day."
"There is a closet full of cleaning supplies outside of the doors and down the hallway," he said to Amaryllis. "My laundry room is down that hallway. The last door on the left," he said to Kayla. The King then walked down the hallway and out of the double doors.
We were standing in front of another door which led to the King's bedroom, but he told us not to go in there. He also locked the door with a key, so we couldn't get in even if we wanted to.
Amaryllis did not think her chore was that bad, but she would rather do his laundry. All Kayla had to do was put clothes in and take them out, and then she gets to just lounge around until its time to fold them. Amaryllis wondered why she was being punished.

Sarsaparilla's Scary Super Power. Completed
Sarsaparilla is an older teenage girl living on Mars. And, like many other young people around her, she has a super power. Or, rather, she is supposed to have a super power. Only she has never been able to activate it, she doesn’t even know what her super power is. This annoys her, tremendously. But she hides this behind a really sweet smile. Adalace is another teenage girl, also on Mars. She knows what her own super power is, and it is quite a good one. She is also really cute… so long has she keeps her feelings under control and doesn’t let out anything from her dark past. Teylon is a man, currently living on Earth. He likes to think of himself as still young, even if he is over fifty. He’s a bit smug about his successful career and is thinking of retiring… until a sadly unfortunate event leads him to the conclusion that he had better immigrate to Mars. Immediately. Apparently, meeting one’s own Angel of Death tends to cause people to make profound changes to their lives… Mars society had better brace itself, because once these three people, plus another three also not so quite stable individuals, collide with each other, the resulting explosion is not going to leave anyone on Mars unaffected. This is another Esmeralda, the Angel of Death, story. It follows on from my previous two such stories, but it is in no way dependent on the previous stories. They can be read in any order. It is fully written and proof read (using Word for Windows, no real editor touched this transcript) and comes to about 247,000 words (about 895 Royal Road pages). It is organized into 50 chapters and I will be publishing them roughly one per day. In my writing, there are multiple characters and multiple points of view. Each change in a point of view is introduced by a header, giving the viewpoint character’s name first, and possibly a title. Inside a Point of View section, dialog in italics represents the Point of View character’s thoughts, while dialog between quotes represent normal spoken dialog. This story is very much inspired by the anime A Certain Scientific Railgun. However I have only taken some elements from the anime, and changed everything I took to make my own story, and so it does not count as fanfiction. Yeah, I know, the book cover page isn’t very good. It’s the best I could do, by tracing over a stock image. The two ladies shown are supposed to be Adalace and Sarsaparilla. Ideally I would have liked there to be two images of this pair, one where they are smiling sweetly and looking cute, and one where they are looking really angry and dangerous. But that totally exceeds my graphics abilities. You will just have to imagine it.
