Xander finished his food before me but told me not to rush because he just eats fast.

I only eat about half of my burger and fries before feeling full.

"I'm full," I say pushing my plate forward a little.

"You ate more than I thought," he mumbles, trying not to laugh.

I give him a playful glare then a laugh escapes my lips.

"Well, I might be small but I can still eat," I say crossing my arms with a raised eyebrow.

"Mmhmm. Let's go," he says standing up. He places a tip on the table and we walk out of the diner.

"Thank you for tonight its been nice," I say as we get into the car.

"You're welcome, but do you think that's all I have planned?" He says a smirk playing on his lips.

"Where are we going?" I question.

"It's a surprise," is all he says. I reluctantly nodded my head slowly looking to the front.

The drive seemed longer not knowing where we are going. I'm so lost in my thoughts I didn't even know we arrived.

"We're here," he says. I look at the building and see it as an arcade. I almost squeal with excitement. I've never been to one before.

"Hope this is alright,"

"Way better than alright!" I say with a wide smile on my face.

We step out of the car and head to the entrance.

We enter the building and the atmosphere feels different. It's dark but has blue lights making the neon color brighten the room.

I follow Xander and we step up to this atm looking thing.

"Okay, I already have a card for this place so we can put some money on it," he swipes the card and pushes some buttons then grabs the card.

"Alright, let's get started. Anything catching your eye?" He asks looking down at me. I look around don't really know.

"I-I don't really know," I say honestly. He nods his head.

"Follow me," he says. I walk alongside him. He stops and points to the game.

"Can't go wrong with skee-ball," he says.

"Wanna try?" He asks.

"Yeah, sure," I say. I watch as he swipes the card for two lanes.

"Just swing back and roll it down to land it in one of the holes," he says. He rolls the ball getting it in the number 40.

Can't be hard right? I grab a ball and roll it making it go up the thing and it missed landing in 10.

"Hey, your new at this so its okay," he shrugs while chuckling.

I grab it again and get 10. I frown with discontent. I suck.

I look over and see Xander get anything but 10.

"I suck,"

"It's your first time, it's alright. I play a lot with Tony and Adam, and also Izzy," he says with a shrug. I sigh before going again. Only getting tens!

We finished the game and of course he beat me.

"That was fun, even though I'm terrible at it," I say with a laugh.

"Yeah, you're right," he says nonchalantly. I look over at him with a playful glare.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He laughs.

I mumble a 'mmhmm' before we go looking around again.

"How about this?" He asks pointing to the fun things that have pictures of zombies on it.

"Sure," I say. He swipes the card and the game begins.

"Just aim and shoot to kill," he says picking up the plastic gun. I do the same and ready my aim.

The zombies start coming to the screen and I shoot them. I aimed and killed one. I actually did it!

"There you go! Just keep doing that," he says also shooting.

"Yeah, Yeah. I got it," I say with some confidence in myself.

----

"See you weren't bad. You could definitely beat Tony at a shooting game," He says with a slight nudge to my shoulder.

"Yeah, sure," I say with a shrug. Today was the greatest. We played tons of different games and I really enjoyed it.

"We gotta go spend our tickets," he says. I give him a confused look.

"What tickets?" I ask.

"Oh yeah. Instead of actually tickets they load onto this card. Which makes it so much easier than it use to be," He says. I nod my head and walk alongside him as we walk up to the counter.

"Alright you got...exactly 300 tickets," the girl behind the counter says giving us a bored expression.

"Anything you want?" He asks. I look around at the items and see a little-stuffed wolf. I don't really want to get it because its all our tickets and I'm pretty sure he earned most of them.

"Not re-"

"I'll take that one," Xander interjects, pointing to the little-stuffed wolf I was looking at.

"Alright," the girl says stepping up on a stool to grab it.

"Here ya go," She says handing it to Xander. He grabs it and starts to walk out of the arcade. I follow behind him till we reach the door.

"Here you go Emilia," He says handing me the stuffed animal. I slowly take from him looking at the cute little face it has.

"Thank you, but you didn't have to you know. You did probably earn most of the tickets," I say.

"Even so you did do better than I expected," He says with a small shoulder shrug.

"Hey!" I say giving him a small push.

"Ow, that hurt reallybad," He says jokingly. I roll my eyes at him.

"Good," I say before we get to the car. Xander let's out a laugh before we get into the car.

He pulls out of the parking lot and heads to the house.

----

He parks the car in his driveway and turns off the engine.

"Goodnight Xander," I say starting to grab the door handle till Xander stops me.

"Wait," He says gently grabbing my shoulder. I look up at him with a confusion.

"Emilia...uh...I...," He pauses and lets out a long sigh rubbing his forehead.

"What's wrong?" I ask starting to get slightly worried.

"Nevermind...uh...It's nothing...bye," He says practically sprinting to his house. I stay still for a moment stunned. I shake my head and walk up to my house. I look back at him to see he has already entered his house.

I look down at my self with a sorrowful feeling washing over me. What happened? Did I do something wrong? My heart clenches at the thought.

I enter the house and see its 11:00. I notice the lights are off and Grandma is probably in bed. I shut the door and head to my room.

I thought the night was great but I must have been completely off about the feeling. Maybe I'm seeing things that aren't there?

I look over at the window to see Xander pacing around his room looking frustrated as he runs his hands through his hair. I let out a shaky breathe trying not be upset about it. I forcefully shut the curtain and feel the sadness wash over me.

I try calming my racing mind as everything I did plays in my head over again looking for any flaw and skimming through every detail of everything I've done tonight. I look down at the stuffed animal. I thought it was fun. I thought he enjoyed himself too.

I sigh putting it on the nightstand.

I knew it was too good to be true. Maybe after tonight he finally got to know me more and doesn't like what he has gotten into. Maybe he was faking the whole night and actually didn't enjoy it. Maybe he was going to tell me he didn't want to hang out anymore or didn't want to be my friend anymore.

He probably finally realized after tonight how annoying I really am.

Why should I care though? He's just a guy. I shouldn't be upset about it, right? I guess I'm used to it by now. I sigh before heading over to my closet.

I strip out of my clothes and grab a pair of sweatpants and a sweater. I catch a glance at myself in the mirror and I scoff at the reflection in the mirror. Who would like me anyway? Who would want to be around me? I don't even want to be around myself.

I sigh and head over to my bed flopping onto it.

I turn over on the bed hugging my pillow for some comfort. I keep rethinking everything from the night. Maybe I joked to much or just wasted his time with my presence or aren't pretty enough. I look at the stuffed wolf and let the silent tears stream down my face.

I soon feel fatigue wash over me and I fall asleep.
