《Unveiling the Arcane》Sage

The next morning, I was on my way to class when an arm slid around my shoulders. I looked up to see one of the twins. His green hair shined bright in the sun. "Where's your brother?" I asked skeptically.
He smiled and my brow furrowed even more. "He's right behind us."
I turned my head to see that the black-haired guy was indeed walking right behind us. Stopping in my tracks I turned to stare at them both. "What is going on?" I asked, hands on my hips.
"We're walking you to class like we always do." The green-haired boy spoke and gave me a bright smile.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "But you're acting weird and stop it with that smile it's creepy."
He frowned at me, and I calmed down a bit; that was more like it. I nodded my head and looked at the black-haired boy. "What the hell are you two doing?"
"What do you mean?" He said in a deep voice I felt to my toes.
I narrowed my eyes at both. "Well for starters he's smiling and you're not." I pointed from the green-haired boy to the black-haired one before continuing. "Then there is the fact that you switched hair colors. Why exactly? I don't get it." I looked between them expectantly.
They both stared at me for a long moment before looking at each other. I could tell they were communicating in some way, but I was unsure how. When they turned towards me Aiden was the one to speak now in his normal voice which just sounded weird coming from Caden's face. "How did you know?" He looked lost for a moment.
I shrugged my shoulders. "I just knew. You two aren't hard to tell apart at all."
Caden scoffed in a very unlike him way. He had obviously decided to stay in character. I wanted to curse him when he spoke in Aiden's voice. My libido couldn't handle them both talking in that tone. "Nobody can ever tell us apart."
I tilted my head assessing them both. "Really?" I asked.
They both nodded and I furrowed my brows. "I don't think you guys are that unidentifiable. There is just something about you that is completely different from the other." I tried to explain but I felt it came out more confusing than I meant it.
Aiden threw his arm around my shoulder again and started leading me towards our building. "Do you have to work tonight?" He asked.
My heart jumped at the memory of what had happened the night before after work. "No, I don't."
Caden wrapped his arm around my shoulders as well stacking his arm on top of Aiden's. "Then you are coming to our room for a movie marathon tonight," Caden said confidently.
"I don't know," I answered noncommittally.
"Please? It's an off day tomorrow so we can stay up late." Caden batted his eyes at me.
I rolled mine at him in response and looked away. "Please?" Aiden added batting his eyes as well.

I stared at him for a moment. "Fine but only if you promise to never do that again."
"Deal." He held his hand out and I shook it.
I had learned over the past week that the guys had rooms on the same floor as me. They were all in a row down the hall. Caden had been sure to tell me that in case I ever needed something. We hadn't spent much time together outside of school hours and work. They came to the cafe often. Mandy said that they had always gone infrequently before but that they had amped up after I started working there. They had never done anything to make me feel uncomfortable, so I decided to just go with it. I would text Cara and let her know my plans so she could call if I sent the secret phrase. Plus, I could talk to them about the weird classes while I was there.
The day went by slowly all the guys seemed extra vigilant around me like I wouldn't notice one of them in the vicinity of my presence at all moments. Walking through the quad to get to Calculus. Dante just happened to trail behind me from Psychology until he could see me enter the room with Aiden. Aiden and Caden made no secret of their stalking me. They both just openly walked me to the next class if we shared one. Maddox walking me to art had been anything but subtle. The man was a mountain for starters so I had no idea how he thought he could stay incognito. After a few steps, I rolled my eyes at him and signed for him to just walk with me instead of being a creeper.
After Gym the twins and I exited the locker rooms in our street clothes. I was wearing a pair of comfortable high-waisted leggings and a red cropped sweater. Aiden and Caden always dressed similarly in everything but color. I wasn't sure if they planned it but if Aiden was wearing black sweats Caden was wearing the same in color. Today they were both wearing jeans and tee shirts. Though this time it was Caden in all black including his hair and Aiden wearing color. Caden wore black ripped skinny jeans and a black band tee that I didn't know. Aiden was wearing light wash skinny jeans with a soft green shirt. "This is just weird. Can you go back yet?"
They both smiled in eerie unison, "Nope, the guys haven't noticed yet."
My mouth fell open, "Seriously? How have they not noticed yet?"
Aiden shrugged his shoulder, and I could almost imagine his deep smokey voice saying "beats me". Caden didn't even bother with an answer just taking the lead back towards the dorms. "What do you like on your pizza?" Aiden asked with his phone out.
"Anything really, just not olives or fish." a shiver went down my spine at the thought.
Aiden smirked and typed into his phone. We stopped by my dorm room so I could drop off my school stuff and change my shoes. Admitting to myself I had no shame at all I put on my fox slippers. Cara and I had gotten matching ones after we had fallen in love with the song What does the fox say.

Caden looked down at my feet when I stepped back into the hallway. To say he laughed out loud was an understatement. He had to use his hands to keep him steady against the wall. I looked down at my feet. "What? Foxes are cute."
Aiden smirked, "Yes, they are. I'm sure the other guys will love them."
I frowned at both of them. I didn't find anything funny about my slippers. I found myself glad I hadn't worn the speckled crochet lion slippers my mom had made me. They were cute but my mom didn't stick to crochet considering she was never that great at it, to begin with. Her hands just weren't steady enough to keep to it. It would have hurt my feelings to have this kind of reaction over those. I pushed them both down the hallway and followed with my arms crossed over my chest in not-so-subtle contempt. Aiden opened the door and Caden slipped his arm around me. "Don't be upset, Flower. They are cute. It's just that Dante has a thing about foxes."
"Like a phobia?" I asked.
"No, he likes foxes," Aiden added.
I think Caden could see the shock on my face that alluded to my thought process. "Not like that. He just likes foxes. In a completely platonic way." Caden reassured me.
My back relaxed; I hadn't even realized it when I stiffened. "Come on, let's put the beds together and set up the projector." Aiden interrupted us.
He directed us in moving the two beds towards the middle of the room facing the wall. After that Caden and I grabbed pillows and blankets from the closet and threw them onto the bed in a heap. While we did this Aiden set out the projector and connected it to a laptop. I sat down next to Aiden on one of the beds and wrapped my arms around my knees. A knock sounded at the door and Caden went to go answer it. "What are we watching?" I asked Aiden looking over his shoulder.
It was still strange to see him with his bright green hair and colorful clothes. When he answered he looked up at me and I realized just how close I had been sitting. "Mad max. We like to watch all of the movies in a row, but it'll take over six hours. To watch them all. Think you can take it?"
His last sentence came out husky and dripping in lust. If that wasn't the moment that Maddox had entered the room with pizza boxes in his arms, I might have decided to just mount Aiden right here right now. I blinked those thoughts away. He's a friend. Not food. I chided myself. Maddox smiled at me as he set the pizza down on the dresser and He and Caden went about getting their food. I was surprised when Caden brought me a plate before he went back to make another one for himself. I looked over at Aiden and saw the shock on his face. I mean it was a nice thing for him to do but I hadn't thought it was that crazy for someone to be so thoughtful. Maddox quirked a brow but otherwise seemed unfazed. Another knock was answered by Aiden as he got up from the spot beside me. Caden made quick work of stealing the open spot with a shifty grin on his face.
Aiden let Dante in before they also went to grab plates of pizza before settling on the beds. Aiden narrowed his eyes at his brother before grabbing a pillow and putting it on my crossed legs and leaning back against it. I looked around and realized there was no other room with the other guys' larger frames. I shrugged and Aiden started the movie. We all ate in silence. Caden took my and Aiden's plates when we were finished and set them on the floor to be dealt with later.
About halfway through the movie, my legs were starting to get uncomfortable from the weight of Aiden against them. I didn't want to ask him to sit on the floor and I didn't want to sit on the floor either, so I leaned down to whisper in his ear trying not to disturb the others.
"Can we trade places? My legs are falling asleep." He looked up at me for a moment before answering with a nod.
Carefully we tried to trade places without being too disruptive but there wasn't that much room to maneuver. When I almost tipped right over Caden's legs and towards the floor Aiden grasped my hips and pulled them towards him to steady me. It was at that moment that I looked up into Caden's eyes and saw them trailing over my position with what looked like lust in his eyes that I realized how exactly we were positioned. I was on my hands and knees over Caden's legs while Aiden held my hips flush against his. My face flushed instantly and I almost squeaked when Aiden's hands tightened around my hips as he too seemed to realize how we looked. I could have almost sworn that he had started to harden against me before he was pulling away and scrambling into the empty spot I had mostly fallen out of. He put the pillow on his lap but I wasn't sure if that was because of what he was trying to hide or him preparing to cross his legs for me. I grabbed his ankle and pushed his legs open a little wider as I sat between them his legs around my ribs as my head rested back against his chest. I looked up at him before speaking in ASL. "Is this okay? I thought it would be more comfortable for you."
Aiden bit his lower lip and nodded. I settled back against him and watched the rest of the movie.
