I tip toed to the bottom of the stairs, went into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water before walking towards the front door .

" Where are you going at this time of the night ? You know Ciara left so you don't have to leave Amanda. " Pablo said, his voice coming from the dimly lit living room.

" Mary mother of Jesus ! You freaking scared me, do you want me to give birth now nigga ? " I said with my hand on my chest.

" I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I thought I was the only one up . " he said emerging from the darkness of the living room, damn this man is good looking.

" Well obviously you're not, what are you doing sitting in the dark anyway ? " I asked before walking towards the coat closet and grabbing my fur coat .

" Just reminiscing, where are you going at this time of the night pretty lady ?" he asked while leaning on the wall opposite me, staring at me.

" So you think I'm pretty ? " I asked teasingly with a smirk .

" Of course, who doesn't ? You're beauty is undeniable . " he said shrugging showing his pearly white teeth and I turned my face away to hide my blush.

" Thank you , well I'm craving some KFC so I was going to grab some and besides I didn't really eat last night because of... you know who . " I said shrugging.

" Pregnancy cravings really be hitting that hard that you gotta get up at 2 AM ?! Yikes but let me drive you though . " he said before grabbing his jacket and car keys .

" No its fine really, we have a rental so I can drive myself ." I said taking the keys of our rental off the the key hook.

" I honestly don't mind Amanda, I don't have anything better to do anyway and besides the rain is pouring heavy outside, I doubt you'd wanna drive in that . " he said reassuring me before opening the door and just like he said it was raining cats and dogs .

" Okayyy, I'll leave the driving up to you mister ! You got this. " I said chuckling before setting the rental keys down . We walked out of the house and he locked the door and we took off running to the car, the rain wasn't playing at all and the wind made it even worse.

" That was crazy ! Why did you have to park so far from the house ? " I said laughing when we finally entered the car .

" The driveway was full when I got here ." he chuckled before turning the heat up to warm both of us up .

" Bet ! " I said while putting my seat belt on and he simply just chuckled before pulling off. The drive to the KFC drive through was fun, we sang along to August Alsina which was my favorite and we had small talks here and there until we reached KFC .

" I've been in the military for 3 years, I forgot the menu so I don't know what the hell to order for myself." he said scratching the back of his head.

" Lean backwards, I gotchu boo ." I said leaning forward to the speaker .

" Bet ." he said leaning back on his seat with his hands up making room for me.

" Shut up ! " I said and we both chuckled .

" Hello welcome to KFC, what can I get you ? " the lady on the speaker said.

" Uhmm hey, good morning. Can I please have 2 double chicken burgers, one spicy and one mild along with 20 piece fried chicken nuggets and a 5 piece Kentucky fried chicken mini bucket. " I said placing our orders and I heard Pablo gasp everytime I listed an item making me laugh.

" Will that's be all ma'am ? " she asked and I then remembered that I forgot to order drinks.

" Can I also get a strawberry lemonade and a... " I turned and looked at Pablo and he mouthed ' Coke '.

" and a coke please ." I said before sitting back on my seat again, out of breath .

" Will that be all ? " the lady asked and Pablo answered her. I don't even know what the total is, me and pooh are ready to eat .

" Here are your orders ! Have a good morning. " the guy from the window say before handing us our food which btw smelled good .

" That smells good, no cap ." he said before parking at the KFC parking lot which was empty.

" Super good, my mouth is literally watering. " I said taking out his food and handing it to him and took out mine, we ate in silence as Burna Boy played through the radio .

After eating Pablo stepped out of the car to smoke a blunt and by then the rain has stopped. I sat inside the car enjoying my strawberry lemonade while bopping to the African Giant .

"Sorry for the hold up , ready to go home ?" I nodded my eyes getting heavy .

" Let's get you to bed babygirl . " he said entering the car and driving back to Ms Taylor's house. When we arrived in front of the house , he parked the car and we went inside and went upstairs .

" Hey Amanda ? " he said with his bedroom door cracked open which to be opposite me and Keisha's room.

" Yes Pablo ? " I answered half way into my room.

" Thanks for tonight babygirl , you're good company." he said flashing me one of his dimpled smile and I flashed him one of mines before saying good night and closing the door.

" Tell me everything ." Keisha said sitting Indian style on top of the bed scaring the shit out of me .

" There's nothing to tell , what are you doing up at this hour ?" I asked before taking off my shoes and hoodie and jumping on the bed with Keisha .

" like I'm supposed to believe that ?! I ain't gonna press you though ." she said putting the cup that was in her hand down on the floor before getting under the covers.

" because there's nothing to press about ." I said playfully rolling my eyes.

" Girl bye ! Come closer though, I'm cold . " she said pulling me closer to her .

" Goodnight Keke ." I said snuggling closer to her and she mumbled a response before falling into a deep slumber and I wasn't far behind her too.

Leonardo's POV

" Boss the barstard Diablo has landed in Memphis and of course he brought company, his son Pablo." Luke said showing me and Mia pictures on his iPad of him and his son coming out of the airport.

" His son is gorgeous oh my lawwd ! Look at that jaw ." Mia said practically drooling over this boy .

" You're married . " I simply said and she just rolled her eyes.

" There's nothing wrong with admiring big brother ." now it was my turn to roll my eyes .

" There's something else boss, here these came in for you and Ms Mia today." he said handing me two black and gold envelopes.

" Oh these, we were expecting them. " I said after realizing that they were invites to Diablo's party before passing one to Mia .

" Actually sir those didn't come from our team, they came from Diablo himself." I sank deeper into my chair before taking a deep breath.

" He knows we're in town ?" Mia asked and Luke simply nodded.

" How ?" I asked staring at the fire place.

" I don't know boss . " he said shrugging his shoulders.

" Diablo is a very powerful man, one of our biggest competition in the game . With all his connections, eyes and ears all around Memphis, it was only a short amount of time before he found out ." Mia said shrugging.

" This changes everything ." I said slightly panicking.

" Not really. " I'm convinced that Mia truly is slow or stupid .

" Mia our plans are ruined ! Proceeding with this mission will be a death wish, this is Diablo's hometown ! We're outnumbered." I threw my head back before letting out a sigh .

" Leonardo what is wrong with you ? I don't recognize you right now, since when do you back away from missions because of one simple slip up ? "

" Since the day I found out that I was getting another chance of being a father, since the day I found that I was bringing a little human being in this world . THAT'S WHEN ! " I said nearly screaming at Mia .

" I understand how you feel Leonardo but we need to take Diablo out before he takes both me and you, our family and your unborn child out! Think about it . " Mia said getting up from her seat looking down at me , she had a point.

" Okay, now can the both of you get the fuck out of my room ? I need to think. " I said before closing my eyes .

" Let's go Luke . " I heard Mia say before I heard the door open and close .

After this whole nonsense is over, I need to make things right with Amanda. I don't want to miss anymore of our pregnancy and hopefully I can work things out with her, I really want to give my child a home .
