Today was the night of the Ball and surprisingly I'm excited, I've never been to a ball before. How do people dress when going to a ball? How do they act? How do they speak? Mia emailed me this morning saying that it was tradition for one person from a specific department to open the ball , like a mini 'welcome' speech and coincidentally this year, it was the HR's department turn and she wanted me to do it. I was nervous but I was looking forward to it but I still didn't want to see any of the Reigns tonight, which is going to be impossible since it's their ball.

"What design do you want ma'am?" the nail artist that De'arra got for me asked. I denied Mia's 'top designer' because I didn't want them spending money on me but mostly because I wanted to show off my sister-in-law's gown from one of her latest collections. De'arra managed to get me a hairstylist, makeup artist and nail artist, she was so excited! You'd swear she was the one going to this Ball. The Ball starts at 8 and I was pretty much on time.

After an hour I was done with my hair and makeup, including my nails !

"I look insane, thank you guys! I love everything" I said admiring their work on me, i just had to put my dress on.

I loved how simple but elegant the dress was, I'll definitely be turning heads tonight. I walked to my full size mirror and took some pictures to show D and my sister in law, with me looking like this it's definitely going to be a great night, I hope.

I got out of the car into the red carpet, I posed for a few snaps and left to go inside. The venue where the ball was held, was breathtaking. The fountains and the art on the ceiling were my favorite, so beautiful . I took a glass of champagne from one of the passing waiters and continued to explore the venue. I collided with a figure, my eyes left the ceiling and landed on... Mia !

"Amanda hey, You look beautiful, that's definitely your color" Mia said awkwardly while playing with her fingers

"Thank you, you look good too!" I said genuinely, she really looked amazing

"Thank you, do you want to get something stronger than that ? Tequila maybe" Mia said while pointing to my glass of champagne, she knew I loved Tequila. I plan on having my own Tequila brand someday, I told her about it some time ago but I didn't think she paid me any attention.

"Now you know I can't say no to some Tequila" I said as she chuckled. We headed to the bar and sat at one of the chairs

"Shay can we please have 4 shots of Tequila" Mia said to a beautiful Asian lady who I'm assuming is the bartender

"You got it !" the girl said before walking away to fetch our drink

"Are you ready for your opening speech? All of our important guests are here so we can start." Mia said while taping her nails on the counter looking at me

"Honestly?! No I'm not, I'm nervous Mi. What if I- why are you looking at me like that?" I asked Mia, she had the biggest smile on her face with tears threatening to come out of her eyes

"You called me Mi " she said, Mi was a nickname I gave to Mia and she loved it when I call her that, I barely say her full name unless I am serious or want to get her attention.

"I did? I'm s-" I was cut off by the bartender giving us our drinks, thank fricken God.

"Cheers?" I said while holding my shot of Tequila up looking at Mia, she raised hers and threw our shots back

"That burns!" I said as I felt the burning sensation on my throat

"Yes! That should get rid of your nerves, " Mia said getting up from her chair "because it's time" she said offering her hand. I took her hand as we headed towards the stage.

"Mia I'm scared, what if I mess up? Or trip?" I said panicking as we walked up the stairs leading up to stage

"You'll do just fine Mandy" she said smiling while handing me the microphone pushing me towards the center of the stage. The spotlight instantly landed on me and everyone diverted their attention on, here goes nothing

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME TO THE REIGNS SUPREME BALL!" I said before flashing one of my brightest smiles, the audience erupted in a round of applause

"I must say, you all look handsome and beautiful in your attire. I might possibly score me a fine fella" I said joking and one guy from the crowd shouted 'me', the crowd erupted in laughter ', I giggled at him

"We at Reigns Inc, would love to welcome all of you and thank you for taking time off your busy schedules to be here with us, we truly appreciate it ! My name is Amanda Gaffley and I will be your host for tonight's auction but in the meantime, let's feast and MINGLE ! "I said raising my glass of champagne as the crowd raised theirs, I smiled before walking offstage. I ran into Mia's open arms

" I DID IT AND I DIDN'T TRIP OR STUTTER! "I said with my arms wrapped around her

" Yes you did and I'm so proud of you! " she said squeezing me, we pulled back and held each other's hands while looking at each other

" I'm truly sorry for not being fully honest with you Mandy, I feared you would abandon me" Mia said while giving my hand a gentle squeeze, I started tearing up

"and I'm sorry for over reacting and being a bitch towards you" I said hugging her, I missed her so much these past few days.

"I don't agree with how you live your life but I guess our friendship is much more important than that. I'm still not coming back to the company " I said when we pulled back

"as long as I have my friend back" she said while wiping tears off her face, we locked eyes and burst out laughing. We stopped when we heard someone clear their throat beside us, i turned and we were faced with the rest of the Reigns family. They all looked... rich? Mrs Reigns looked like the first lady

Rita looked drop dead gorgeous, her dress put her curves on display, her tits almost looked real, ALMOST! but regardless she still looked amazing

I don't think anyone gave the men the memo because they all looked regular,the wealthy kind of regular though. I could feel Leonardo's eyes burning the side of my face but I ignored it

"Amanda" Mrs Reigns said finally acknowledging me

"Mrs Reigns" I replied with the same tone as hers

"You did good up there, quite a crowd pleaser, we should let you host our ball next year too" she said while smiling at me

"I won't be around by then." I didn't mean to come off rude but I honestly didn't want to talk to any of them, well except Mia of course.

"Let's get seated shall we!" Mason said ending the awkward silence, Mia literally dragged me to the table. We all sat down at this huge round table and I was in between Mia and Luciano with Leonardo opposite me. The food was served, it was Caesar salad and Spam Musubi wrapped in... Gold leaf ?! That's probably going to be the most expensive thing I've ever had. I silently said grace and when I finished I heard Luciano next to me say 'amen' next to me, I turned to look at him puzzled. I'm pretty sure I said grace silently

"You actually mumbled it, I've got sharp ears sweetie " he said laughing at my puzzled look, I'm not even going to ask how he knew what I was thinking

"It's written all over your face" he said before dusting the gold off his Musubi, I looked at him with wide eyes

"Okay you're freaking me out" I said making a funny face as him and Mason burst out laughing catching everyone's eyes on the table, I toyed with my salad avoiding everyone's gaze.

"Amanda have you ever hosted an auction before?" Mr Reigns said before asking Mia to pass the salt

"No! I have never been to a ball either, it's all new to me" I said before taking a bite of my Musubi, I could have hundreds of these ! They were mouthwatering.

"It's hard to tell, you're a natural" Mrs Reigns said before sipping from her glass of champagne , I just know they not trying to befriend me ...

"I try honestly," I said shrugging, "please excuse me, I need to use the restroom" I said pushing my chair back, standing up to leave the table.

I wasn't really going to the restroom, I just needed fresh air. I pushed passed people and headed towards the huge double doors that I was sure led to the outside. Turns out I was right because when I came out I was met with the most beautiful, lively garden I've ever seen. The garden had all types of flowers, it was so mesmerizing. I walked further into the garden admiring it's beauty, I caught a glince of white roses and stopped to observe them. They were so gorgeous, I reached my hand out to touch one of the petals,it was so smooth and the roses smelled fresh. I stood up from the kneeling position I was in and continued my tour of the garden, I was an outdoor person so the garden definitely intrigued me. I could spend the rest of the night here.

"I'm pretty sure this isn't the rest room" Leonardo said from behind me. I didn't have to turn and look to know that it was him, his cologne confirmed that.
